Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Maybelline New York for allowing me to trial Maybelline New York Colour Sensational Made For All Lipstick. I was fortunate to receive 2 lipsticks to trial in the colours 379 Fuchsia For Me and 388 Plum For Me. For reference I am a medium neutral skin tone. To be honest I don’t tend to wear bright coloured lipsticks but these colours were gorgeous! They were easy to apply but I took my time applying due to the bold colours being less forgiving. The lipsticks had a slight vanilla fragrance and felt soft and hydrating on my lips. They did however transfer to my coffee cup and faded after eating but that was easily rectified by reapplying. I love how as they wore off they stained my lips and I did actually have to remove some with makeup remover at the end of the day. A feature I particularly liked was that the lipstick packaging was coloured the same as the lipstick which made it easier to identity in my lipstick stash. I do also believe that, as claimed, the colours would be universally flattering to all skin tones. Overall, I really enjoyed wearing these lipsticks and would purchase in the future.

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Lancôme for giving me the opportunity to trial Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation (24 hour wear and comfort SPF15). For information I have sensitive, ageing skin that is showing signs of pigmentation. I selected the colour 038 Beige Cuivre which is a medium neutral. The foundation comes in a 30ml frosted glass pump bottle which 1 pump delivers the perfect amount of product to cover my face. Upon applying the foundation with my fingers I immediately noticed the strong floral fragrance which subsided very quickly. The foundation applied very easily and evenly and dried quickly. It provided a medium coverage but if you apply more can easily provide full coverage. It gave a semi Matte appearance which I love - it looked like my skin minus the flaws! It did not oxidise, become oily or get dry patches. It did not feel cakey and it provided long lasting coverage, easily surviving a 10 hour shift at work. I will definitely continue to use this foundation after the trial is over and recommend everyone give it a try!

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and La Roche-Posay for giving me the opportunity to trial Anthelios XL 50+ SPF very high protection ultra light fluid The broad spectrum sun cream comes in a rectangular 50ml white and orange plastic squirt container - so perfect to throw in your handbag for reapplication. The fluid is very lightweight and runny so application is a breeze. It does not leave a white mask, it absorbs quickly and has a slight chemical suncream smell that slowly disappears. I was able to apply my BB cream straight over the top after a few minutes and it did not "pill" and applied smoothly over the top of the sun cream I have sensitive skin and stupidly forgot to do a patch test before plastering the product over my face but fortunately the sun cream did not cause any reaction or sensitivity - in fact I forgot I was wearing it as it is so lightweight on my skin! Overall I have been impressed with this product and will continue to use it.

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and L'Oréal Paris for giving me the opportunity to trial L'Oréal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Black The mascara come in a sturdy light pink, mint green and black tube which the lid screws on tightly so there is no risk of coming off when it is thrown in my handbag (a big positive), or the lid not being closed and drying out the mascara L'Oréal promotes this mascara as their first curled volume effect mascara that lasts all day with no clumps. The roller brush is used to curl and thicken each lash from the root. I found the wand easy to use but did find that my eyelashes did clump together slightly so the mascara did not define each lash. I did, however, love the volumising and curling effect the mascara gave my lashes which lasted the entire day The first time I trialled the mascara, it unfortunately did smudge but it hasn't happened since so I'm not sure why that happened. The mascara came off easily using micellar water and did not cause any irritation to my sensitive eyes which is a huge bonus!

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and L'Oréal Paris for giving me the opportunity to trial L'Oréal Paris Colour Rich Matte Addiction in 3 gorgeous colours: 103 Blush In A Rush (a peachy pink nude)
634 Greige Perfecto (a 90's brown throwback)
344 Retro Red (a bright pinup girl red) The lipsticks come in a sturdy matte black case in which the lid clasps tightly on so there is no risk of coming off when it is thrown in my handbag (a big positive). I loved the strong tapered shape of the lipstick bullet which allowed easy and precise application to my lips (I did not need a lip liner or lip brush to apply a precise line). On my lips I found the formula surprisingly moist and non drying - a reason I never use a Matte lipstick is the fear of drying out my lips - but this did not happen with the Matte Addiction formula. The colours on my lips were true to the colour on the bottom of the lipstick case. I found the longevity of the shades a bit hit and miss. Blush in a Rush faded within a couple of hours and didn't leave a lip stain so needs regular reapplication. Greige Perfecto lasted around 4 hours and left slight lip staining and Retro Red lasted around 5-6 hours and left my lips stained red Overall I found these lipsticks to be a great Matte lipstick to add to my collection. I would love to purchase some more of these in a pink colour and colours that I wear to work. The price makes them affordable to use as an everyday lipstick. Go out and buy one and try it for yourself! Highly recommended!

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Dermaveen for allowing me to trial DermaVeen Extra Gentle Soap Free Wash. For reference I have sensitive ageing skin that is prone to getting dry and itchy - especially in winter On first receiving the product I was happy at the sturdiness of the 500ml pump top container. The packing shows the symbol "not tested on animals" which is a huge plus for me. The packaging states that the product is free from common irritants and contains 100% natural finally milled oat grains whilst being formulated for people with extra dry, itchy and sensitive skin. I love that it is free from sulfates, alcohol, artificial colours and fragrances The wash is a whitish gel that is quite liquid. One pump was plenty to wash my body so it is very cost effective. As with any wash that does not contain SLS's, the wash does not foam easily like regular body washes but this does not worry me. The wash has a very mild soapy smell which is great for people who are sensitive to fragrances. My skin felt like it wasn't striped of it's natural oils and did not feel dry and tight. In fact my skin felt soft and hydrated after use. Highly recommended!

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and L'Oreal Paris for giving me the opportunity to trial True Match Foundation. For reference I am in my 40s with sensitive, hormonal skin with pigmentation that is prone to redness. I have a medium neutral skin tone so chose 3N Creamy Beige which was a great colour match. I currently use a BB Cream as I do not like the look of full coverage foundation On first impressions I loved the clear 30 ml glass container with the pump applicator. It's my favourite type of packaging as it prevents contamination of the foundation. I found one pump sufficient to cover my entire face with product The foundation applied like a dream (I use my fingers to apply and blend foundation) and was super blendable. There was no noticeable fragrance and my sensitive skin and eyes did not react. One pump provided medium coverage and was able to cover the majority of my skins redness and pigmentation without appearing mask like or cakey. The foundation felt light on my skin and gave a natural to dewy finish. It lasted an entire 10.5 hr shift at work with no streaking or sliding off. The foundation was easily removed with micellar water and a cotton pad Overall I found the True Match Foundation to be a great drugstore foundation ($30 for 30mls) which provides natural coverage that lasts all day.

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Nivea Body for giving me the opportunity to trial Nivea 4 in 1 Firming Body Oil. Nivea claims the oil firms skin in 2 weeks, evens skin tone, nourishes extensively and reduces the appearance of stretch marks. The body oil contains co-enzyme Q10, avocado oil, cottonseed oil and macadamia oil. The body oil is packaged in a Nivea blue plastic screw top 200ml container. The oil is dispensed by unscrewing the lid, tipping the container upside down and squirting the oil into the palm of your hand. The oil is of very light consistency and absorbed quickly into either dry or damp skin. It has a very subtle "Nivea" scent that quickly disappears so it doesn't interfere with any perfumed products your choose to wear. I found the oil absorbed quickly into my skin so I was able to dress almost immediately after applying. My skin was left with no residual oiliness throughout the day. After 2 weeks of use my skin certainly felt nourished and showed no signs of typical winter dryness that I normally experience at this time of year. I have sensitive skin and the Nivea 4 in 1 Firming Body Oil caused no irritation. I did not experience any firmness to my skin and I do not have any stretch marks for the oil to improve the appearance of. I will continue to use the oil until the bottle empties to see if there is any skin firming effect. Highly recommended!

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Olay Regenerist for giving me the opportunity to trial Miracle Boost Youth Pre Essence, Micro Sculpting Cream Night Moisturiser and Micro Sculpting Cream Moisturiser. For reference I am in my early 40s with combination, sensitive skin with pigmentation. The Miracle Boost Youth Pre Essence comes in a red and silver 40 ml bottle with a unique self dispensing screw top lid that draws the correct amount of serum into the dropper - genius! It is interesting to note that Olay recommend 2 droppers of serum per use but I found 1 dose was plenty to cover my face and neck. The serum has a beautiful lightweight, fragrance free gel consistency, that absorbed quickly and beautifully into my skin leaving it feeling soft and hydrated. It provided a beautiful layer/foundation for either the day cream or night cream to follow. My sensitive skin did not react to any of the range which was a pleasant surprise. Overall I am happy with the range, how it left my skin feeling and highly recommend the products.

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Olay Regenerist for giving me the opportunity to trial Miracle Boost Youth Pre Essence, Micro Sculpting Cream Night Moisturiser and Micro Sculpting Cream Moisturiser. For reference I am in my early 40s with combination, sensitive skin with pigmentation. The Micro Sculpting Cream Night Moisturiser comes in a beautiful red and silver 50g screw top jar. It is identical to the day moisturiser so you constantly have to check which cream you are using to avoid mixing them up. I personally prefer a self dispensing packaging for hygienic reasons as I do not like dipping my finger into a jar to get the gel out. The night cream has a beautiful gel consistency, that absorbed quickly and beautifully into my skin leaving it feeling soft and hydrated. I loved how that when I woke up in the morning my skin felt like it had been treated to an overnight hydration treatment, especially in this cooler drying weather. My sensitive skin did not react to any of the range which was a pleasant surprise. Overall I am happy with the range, how it left my skin feeling and highly recommend the products.
