These Max Factor 'pen' sticks are a new and fun way to apply lip colour! Packaged to resemble crayons, these lipsticks are super cute to carry around. From the 4 colours of the range I own, I found the lipsticks to be reasonably creamy - they glide onto the lips with ease and no drag, and the pigmentation is fantastic. I'd say the pigmentation is medium, but with another coat, the more vivid shades can definitely offer a full opaque lip. The finish is just slightly glossy, making lips look juicy - those who prefer a less glossy look can of course blot with a tissue. These pen sticks are not drying on the lips either, which is a great plus. The more vibrant shades (such as Vibrant Pink) do fade away to leave a more matte-look stain after about 2 hours. Designer Blossom, which is a reddish shade actually fades to leave a more pinkish stain, which surprised me. And Couture Blush, a wearable nude pink shade, tends to fade more completely rather than stain on the lips. One of my main cons regarding these charming pen sticks is that they do apply unevenly - so my normal method of outlining the lip lines and then filling in the lips tends to result in a slightly humorous look, with a noticeably darker ring around my lips. I'd recommend you double (or triple check) your lips before leaving the house. Overall, I'm a fan of these pen sticks - they're a super affordable alternative to the more pricier crayon pen lipsticks on the market, the shades are quite pretty, and the performance is great.

I have quite a collection of these lip balms - one for my dressing table and a few divided between my handbags. These lip balms are not only attractively packaged - brightly in fun colours and fun fonts, but they're also reasonably priced, and are extremely good for hydrating lips for a smooth, kissable pout. Some of the variants leave more of a pinkish tint than others, which is great for adding a tinge of colour to the lips. Fragrance-wise, these lip balms do have a sweet and candy-like scent, but it's reasonably subtle, and definitely neither strong, nor overpowering. I actually prefer these to petroleum jelly for hydrating my lips before I go to bed too. The formula is smooth and never drags across the lips. It does feel hydrating, and the formula doesn't sink into my lips too quickly, which I like as I feel like it'll help keep my lips hydrated longer as I sleep. They're not as hydrating for flaking lips, so I do recommend exfoliating first, and then applying these Baby Lips balms afterwards to maintain that smoothness. Definitely highly recommended lipbalms!

Definitely one of my must-haves! It may be cheap (make that extremely cheap!), but it's one of the better eyeliners I've tried in recent times. I've re-purchased since I first tried it, and it's the only eyeliner pencil I use right now. Aside from the unbelievable price point, it's actually a really good eyeliner as it's fairly creamy and soft, so it doesn't tug at the eyelid during application. It's a wind up eyeliner so it's self sharpening (no sharpening required), which is quite convenient. The tip is rounded, so it's not an eyeliner for thin or precise lines, but as I like to wear thicker eyeliner the rounded tip is quite good for me. The only dislike I have regarding this (aside from there only being one brown shade in the range) is that although it's very long-lasting as claimed, it does tend to smudge under the eyes for me. I rectify this by patting some eyeshadow of a similar colour onto the eyeliner line to help 'set' it and reduce any smudging. I can't get over the quality and price point - it's an eyeliner I'd repurchase over and over again

Without a doubt, the Revlon Colorstay Quad in Decadent, is my most beloved palette! It's my everyday palette - quite literally. Though not the most buttery texture, nor the most amazingly pigmented, the quad is perfect for me, and I reach for it over and over again. I'm generally a neutrals eye colour gal - I don't wear very vivid or bright colours, so I stick to golds, browns, and soft pinks. The Revlon quad has these exact shades, which all can be worn alone, or together to create a soft, pretty, and classy everyday look. The quad is quite classily packaged, as expected from Revlon. It looks sleek with it's black packaging, with a little clear window on the lid to show the 4 shades within. It's not bulky, and although it doesn't have a mirror compact inside, it does come with a sponge applicator inside, as well as a diagram on the underside of the bottom demonstrating a pretty look using all the shades. I do use all the four colours in the quad - a pale highlighter shade (perfect for inner corners and brow bone) - a pale pink shade (lovely as a soft sweep of colour on the eyelids) -a medium gold shade (the best everyday colour) -a chocolate brown shade (another lovely colour) When I'm lazy I use my fingers to apply these, and they provide a soft sweep of colour on my lids - I can then pat on more for extra pigmentation. There's barely any fallout, the texture feels silky and never chalky, and the pigmentation's adequate for me. The shades do come with a slight shimmer, but nothing disco ball-like. It's a very wearable day palette, and yes it does last all day. Highly recommend, if you like soft, and wearable day colours.

In my earlier teenage years when my acne was much worse, I was too harsh on my skin by using acne targeting products that left my face feeling tight and stripped from moisture. I'd avoided using any more acne fighting scrubs until now, and I have to say I was quite happy with how this Biore scrub did not dry my skin out! I have dry normal skin nowadays and using this Biore scrub daily did not dry me out - instead my face felt smoother and more polished after usage, and I think my face looked a bit brighter overall. I really liked that even though this is a scrub, it's actually gentle enough for daily use. It has a sweet citrus scent that's not too artificial or too overpowering. As for the sensation when using this scrub, the exfoliating beads don't feel rough on my skin at all, which is another plus. I've had the start of a few breakouts in the few weeks of using this scrub, but they never ended up properly forming into actual zits, so I do feel like the scrub has helped somewhat. I don't think it's prevented breakouts, but it did seem to minimise the severity. I'd have to say my only dislike is the menthol-y or minty sensation that makes my skin heat up when I'm massaging this into my face. It might not bother other people, but I wasn't much a fan of this - I did find a solution to this by squeezing a small dollop onto a cleansing puff and using that to clean my skin rather then by hands. There's definitely less of a menthol hot sensation when I use the puff instead. Overall I thought this was quite a decent scrub.

Cheap and decent

Definitely put this to good use with my pencil eyeliner, which I like to wear several days a week! It\'s a no frills, no fuss, decent quality sharpener, so no complaints from me.

The flexible curved brush has it's pros and cons. The curved shape of the brush is great for sweeping through the lashes and defining without clumping. But the con to the flexibility of the brush is that it will spring about when I try to push it back into the tube - it often resists and then I end up digging the wand into my hand and smearing it everywhere! I use the waterproof version, and I find it holds the curl very well, and it isn't difficult to remove at the end of the day with a decent makeup remover. It didn't have enough lengthening for me, but overall it's a decent mascara for day to day wear.

I have dry skin, and this rosehip oil has become a firm staple in my skincare routine. Just massaging a few drops into my skin after toner and before moisturiser makes a difference in how softer, smoother, and hydrated my skin looks and feels. If I'm in a hurry I'll mix a few drops into my moisturiser and apply it that way - but I find my skin looks dewier as the oil tends to linger on the skin instead of fully absorbing, which gives my skin a gorgeous dewy glow (a bit impractical for hot weather, but some loose powder will fix it up!). I mostly love the rosehip oil for giving me softer feeling skin, and eliminating dry patches on my face so that my bb cream or foundation can be applied seamlessly with no yucky flakes showing. I haven't noticed much in reduction of the intensity of my acne scarring, but I do feel my skin tone has become a little more even and healthier looking overall. The scent didn't sit well with me first - it smelt a bit strong and nutty? But I don't even notice it any more, and I've been using it about 3-4 months now. Oh, and it *didn't* break me out, which was the main reason I'd been avoiding using essential oils till now. It's a repeat purchase for sure!

Being prone to dry flakey lips, I always need a smooth surface for my lippie, and Vaseline is my go to item! To gently scrub my lips clean from loose flakes I'll slather the jelly onto my lips, jump into a hot shower, and then when I get out I use an old (but clean and still usable) toothbrush to gently scrub my lips. It works to reveal soft, smooth lips~ Cheap and effective!

I currently have 3 of these pen sticks in my makeup collection. At a reasonable $9.95, I think they're very affordable and also decent quality lip products. I find the giant pen packaging of these lipsticks quite fun and appealing, and the size of these lipsticks is nice too - not too chubby in shape or size so it's relatively easy to be precise when applying colour onto the lips, which I like. The formula glides onto the lips easily - it feels a bit between balmy and creamy, but doesn't end up feeling drying or sticky on the lips. Out of the 3 I own, I found that Couture Pink ( a very wearable natural pink) and Vibrant Pink (a Barbie hot pink) had a more creamy finish on the lips, while Designer Blossom (a peachy-red) had more of a glossy finish. The two brighter colours also left more of a stain on the lips after wearing off (about 3 hours). The colours I own are also nicely pigmented, though some of the other shades in the collection could be more sheer. The main con about these lipsticks are that they can apply unevenly (tending to be darker on the outer edge of the lips, and sheerer in the middle) if not carefully applied. Other than that I don't think you can go wrong with these pen lippies!
