I’m on the fence with how I feel about this moisturiser. It didn’t wow me but it also didn’t leave me feeling too disappointed. One thing I couldn’t get past was the smell, it’s unscented but still had a distinct smell and it wasn’t pleasant to me at all. I tried it a few times and just couldn’t get past it at all. The cream itself was just your average body moisturiser, it absorbed quickly but I don’t feel it left my skin feeling hydrated for very long. It’s not really one I personally will go out and purchase.

I am a huge fan of Weleda products and wasn’t disappointed when I trialled the 24 hour Hydrating Facial Cream! At first I was a little worried about how fast the product would go considering the tube is only 30ml but much to my surprise, you do not need a lot to cover your entire face and neck. It also lives up to its claim of being long lasting yet fast absorbing moisture. My skin felt hydrated but not oily, just what we need in the colder months! My skin can be quite sensitive and this cream was gentle and soothing for it. I highly recommend!

I’ve always been curious to try a Vitamin C serum so was excited to get the chance through the Natural Beauty Month Box. This serum has actually been really lovely to use. I use about 4 drops and that nicely covers my face and neck. It feels so refreshing as I pat it into my skin and smells divine (as you can imagine, it has a citrus scent - naturally haha!). I do feel that my skin does look a little brighter since using this serum, not crazy noticeable but there’s is certainly a difference. I look forward to keeping it as a step in my skincare routine.

Let me start this by saying that I’m not really a “gloss” kinda girl. My go to is my old dependable lip conditioner and sometimes a nice matte lipstick. I received the Burt’s Bees lip shine in the colour “Blush” - on the tube it looks like a nude pink sort of colour but it only adds maybe the tiniest hint of colour to my lips, if at all. The 14g tube is a good size that would last quite a while I believe as you only need the smallest amount to cover your lips. It’s spreads easily and nicely yet it’s thick but not too thick. It isn’t crazy sticky like other lip glosses I have tried in the past, it’s just not something I personally like my lips to feel like. If you are a gloss Linda girl though, I highly recommend this one.

I have always been curious about retinol because as I get older, I have been hearing about more and more women using it in their beauty regimes. Unfortunately retinol is one of those products that are unsafe while breastfeeding so I was pleasantly surprised that Glow Lab have created a natural alternative to retinol using Bakuchiol which is indeed safe to use while breastfeeding. A little goes a long way with this stuff, you only use 2-3 drops for your face and neck and it spreads relatively easily. In the couple of weeks that I’ve been using it, I haven’t noticed a difference really in my wrinkles looking smoother or anything, I feel I would need to use it for a bit longer (their packaging even states 12 weeks). But I have really enjoyed adding it to my skincare routine and will continue to trial it :)

So I’m pretty slack in the skincare routine game these days, especially with just having my third daughter recently - any form of skin care feels like a huge self care achievement these days haha, so I am not usually one to have specific day/night creams - I generally just use one for both times of day. The QV Nurturing Night Cream however, was a lovely product to trial. The 50g tub it comes in is a simple clear rub with a mirrored lid, as with everything in the QV range it is fragrance free so once again makes it the perfect product for those sensitive to scents. The consistency of the cream itself so thick and creamy and it feels oh so divine to apply. I did mention in my review for the cleanser that any time I used these two products, my jawline felt itchy the next day, something I feel is important to mention here as well. While I can’t say which product actually caused my skin to feel that way, it’s definitely worth noting.

As someone with sensitive skin, I was very excited when this cleanser arrived on my door step. I’ve just recently had my third daughter and have noticed that my skin has gone haywire through pregnancy and now also postpartum so I am keen to give anything a go. The QV Gentle Cleanser came in a generous 500g pump bottle which is my favourite as it means less product is wasted. It is scent free, so perfect for anyone who is sensitive to scented products. It has a nice, creamy consistency and doesn’t foam up like crazy, I found it very lovely to use. While it didn’t clear up any congestion that I have going on with my skin (an issue I have had for many years now, and this product didn’t make any claims to fix this so it definitely wasn’t expected), it did leave my skin feeling clean and fresh. I did notice however that my skin felt quite itchy along my jawline the following day when I would use this product but I can’t pinpoint if it was this specifically or the night cream which I also trialed at the same time.

Being asked to be a part of this trial while in my third trimester of pregnancy and dealing with dry, itchy, stretching skin was definitely a godsend. Jergen’s Oil Infused Smoothing Avocado Moisturiser has become a fast favourite of mine. It contains Oat Extract (oats are amazing for itchy skin) and avocado oil (as mentioned in the name) and claims to be a 24 hour moisturiser, while I wouldn’t say that it lasts 24 hours, I would say it is somewhat long lasting. The scent of the moisturiser reminds me of sorbelene cream kind of, it’s a comforting but fresh scent. The consistency is fantastic, it’s not too thick but not too thin either. It doesn’t feel greasy to apply and soaks into my skin well, there’s nothing worse than feeling a moisturiser sitting on your skin and feeling like it takes forever to absorb. It has been great to use on my legs after shaving as my legs tend to get quiet dry and itchy afterwards so it has really helped that. I will definitely continue to use this moisturiser in the future!

Trying to find a lotion that is suitable for the whole family and meets the needs of our sensitive skin can be a bit tricky but QV is a brand that we know and trust so I was very excited to be a part of this trial. The QV skin lotion comes in a generous 500ml pump bottle which means the product is easy to get out, reducing wastage and also at this size will go a long way and last a long time. The consistency is quite thin and easy to spread, it absorbs into the skin nicely and also rather quickly and doesn’t leave you feeling sticky. QV skin lotion is a fantastic product for if you have itchy, dry skin or just as an all round moisturiser. It’s fragrance free so you don’t have to worry about reacting to anything that may be added so it can smell pretty. I feel confident using this on both my daughters as it is gentle enough for their skin too, something super important in our household and I will definitely continue to use it in the future for us all.

When I was selected to participate in this trial, I was so excited as I have never been a part of a trial of something as lush as Lancôme! The product is packaged in a little black box which has the serum bottle printed on it so you can see what you’re getting. The serum itself comes in a very sleek glass bottle with a very unique dropper which fills up itself as you close the lid, which then dispenses the perfect amount of serum meaning no product is wasted - a huge win for Lancôme as it is so easy with other beauty items to squirt out the wrong amount. It has a light scent which I can’t quite place my finger on what it is but it’s fresh and subtle. The serum itself feels so lovely, a nice consistency that is not too thick and not too thin and absorbs pretty quickly into your skin. During the trial, I can’t say that I really noticed any difference in my skin “ageing wise” but I am excited to continue using it and following the results.
