Thank you to Beauty Heaven for selecting me to trial this foundation from Rimmel, 'Stay Matte' appealed to me with my combination skin type. The packaging is simple, attractive and well designed. I like when liquid products are designed to stand upside down so the product comes out easily every time. A light fragrance is noticeable upon opening the packaging but doesn't linger and wasn't offensive at all. Quite pleasant actually. I was impressed with the formula for a numbers of reasons. The mousse consistency is thick, and a lot goes a long way making this already affordable foundation even better value for money. I never needed more than a small pea sized amount. This foundation does set reasonably quickly, so I found building the coverage and blending as I went worked best. This is best achieved with a makeup sponge or brush (I used a blending sponge) but I also found application with my fingers was easy enough if I worked fast to blend. It is easy to achieve a variety of coverage looks with this from the semi-sheer no makeup look to full coverage. I love this versatility! Even with full coverage, as long as I took care to blend, the finish was soft and smooth, never heavy. Super impressed with the lasting power of this truly matte foundation, my notoriously shiny forehead was transformed all day and into the night! A girlfriend commented to me the first time I wore it saying "You don't even look like you're wearing makeup" which was a huge tick for me! I'm so happy with this product, which is the first non-designer foundation I've tried in years. Great to know hard working affordable options are available.

I feel so very lucky that Beauty Heaven gave me the opportunity to trial this beautiful new release from Lancome - the Renergie Multi Day Cream Light. The packaging is gorgeous. Opening the signature silver Lancome box to find a opulent royal purple glass jar with screw top lid - just divine! A simply heavenly creamy gel foruma. Light enough to not weigh your complexion down, or clog it up (as some heavier creams do for me) yet really packs a hydration punch. It smooths onto the skin so beautifully; absorbing in great time and a small amount generously spreads over the face and neck. This moisturiser is a dream to apply and really added a luxurious touch to my skincare regime. The scent is perhaps a little overwhelming, I prefer non scented creams, but I understand this is a very subjective and personal thing. It's a difficult scent to describe, perhaps somewhere between botanical and floral? In terms of the claims it makes, it is hard to judge from a shorter trial period. Lancome claims this has firming and lifting effects, which I simply cannot comment on in such a short period of time. I did notice was an immediate improvement in the plumpness of my complexion and a slight reduction in fine lines, which in just a few weeks is quite the achievement! Simply put, this moisturiser helped my skin glow. Overall, I will be happy to continue to use this cream and I think it will suit me well as the weather cools down and my hydration requirements increase.

I've got the L'oreal Infallible Le Rouge lipstick in 312 Ravishing Red and I love it. Firstly, the colour is a beautiful classic blue based red, very old hollywood glamour. The pigmentation is fantastic, with one swipe providing a huge colour impact and definition is definitely achived. Considering this, the colour doesn't transfer too easily, which is a blessing. I don't find that the colour stay perfect for 10 hours, and eating and drinking doo affect it's lasting power (of course). However, it certainly is long wearing with only touch ups required over the course of a work day with lunches and tea breaks to contend with. On the subject of comfortability, it has improved from previous versions, but remains slightly drying with a sort of tacky feeling. The packaging is nothing special to look at, but does have a handy lock feature so the lid doesn't fall off.

When I saw that this product combines four beauty oils, along with exfoliating properties, I had to give it a go. I'm onto my second tube, so it must be doing something right! The plastic tube with flip top lid is perfect for easy use in the shower. I've typically been annoyed by body scrubs with screw top lids. The gel formula squeezes out with ease, has a subtle citrus/floral scent and the exfoliating beads are quite large. Upon application, the formula lathers up quite quickly unlike traditional scrubs, but a good exfoliation is still achieved and it seems to help in reaching more areas of the body without tonnes of product being washed down the drain. Used every second day my skin is left soft and smooth. I especially like using this prior to shaving to achieve the closest shave possible. Recommended as an economical body exfoliant option.

After a long period of trial and error, I have found my holy grail bronzer! I love that it's available in two shades, I have the lighter one which is perfect for me and less terracotta than a lot of the others I'd tried. Coming in a huge canister this bronzer is great value for money and definitely multi-purpose. I've used this product in the traditional sense: dusting lightly around the frame of the face, into the depth of cheekbones, across the top of my nose and along my jawline for a healthy lit-from within glow. I've also used this for heavier contouring, as well as all over the body for a subtle body glow. The case it comes in is sleek, stylish and thankfully durable to boot! Drops on the bathroom tiles haven't seen the case or product crumble, yay!

I purchased this product as a cheaper alternative to the Bioderma version. I definitely notice a difference, but that difference is minimal, my rating is really more like 4.5 stars. If you've never tried micellar water as a makeup remover, it's a fantastic fuss-free way to get the job done quickly, and without any mess over your basin. Simply squirt some of this magical water into a cotton pad and wipe away all manner of makeup and dirt. The small difference I did notice with this when compared to Bioderma's version is that this one does seem to leave a tiny bit of a lathered residue.

Thank you very much to Beauty Heaven for allowing me to trial the Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor. I love it! The multi-blade razor is surrounded by a thick moisturising bar which eliminates the need for shaving cream - win! I was very impressed that the somewhat bulky design still allows for complete access around the more tricky areas like the knees and underarms. The ergonomic design of the handle also allows for a great grip and controlled movement. With one simple swipe, my skin is left silky smooth and well moisturised. The shower caddy included is incredibly handy to keep your razor within arms reach whenever you need it at shower time. Even if it's not shower time, this razor's moisturising bar means a quick touch up is easy peasy without nasty razor burn. Although I'm aware this style of razor has been available on the market for many years, I'd yet to try. After trialling this product, I'm sold! My slightly sensitive skin agrees! I will definitely be repurchasing as it takes all the fuss out of shaving and leaves my skin pleasantly moisturised. Highly recommended!

Thank you to the Beauty Heaven team for selecting me to trial Dr. Lewinn's Ultra R4 Ultimate Life Serum. I've been using this targeting anti-aging serum for about four weeks, after cleaning and toning. I was excited to see the results of this on the fine lines around my eyes and the more deep set expression lines on my forehead. We were instructed to use this morning and night, but I only used this in the morning for the first week. I had to switch to a more sufficiently hydrating option as my skin is at it's dryest this time of year. Firstly, I really love the design of the packaging. An attractive and stylish hard case holds the serum with a convenient pump which provides just the right amount for your face and neck. The serum comes out in a gel formula, which is great for catching all the product and preventing mess. The scent was reasonably subtle but not what I would call appealing. Upon application, the serum absorbs into the complexion quickly, giving an instant tingling and tightening sensation. I'm used to hydrating serums, so I wasn't that keen on the tight and dry feeling this left me with. I was happy to know the old wrinkles were getting attended to, but couldn't help but wish this had some hydrating properties too. I'm pleased to report no adverse reactions from my sometimes unpredictable skin! After continuous use I'm pleased to say I notice a subtle plumpness of my complexion which has helped to blur the lines around my eyes. No such luck on the deeper forehead lines though! Through much consideration I've decided this just isn't the right serum for me, but something I might look back at in a few years. Or perhaps I'd prefer it's tightening powers in the warmer months? I have the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in a stunning fuschia shade and it's been on my regular rotation since I bought it. The lipstick comes in an attractive case with a distinctive purple lid which is always easy to find in my purse or makeup case. I find the scent is a little strong for my liking, making me wonder what bevy of chemicals I'm applying to my lips, but then lots of lipsticks smell like this. The thick formula is nicely creamy and applies like a dream. The pigmentation is out of this world, it packs a massive punch and I only need one swipe for maximum impact. The matte finish is on the luminous side due to it's moisturising properties, in my mind it's the perfect matte as it doesn't appear too dry like some others. This does bring me to it's down sides - staying power is not great and it looses it's hydration quite quickly too. Combined you get the not so nice effect of patchy, dried up colour. Eeek! For this reason, this lippie is a better choice for warmer months as your lips are less likely to be especially dry, as they are in winter.

A lovely assistant at my local L'occitane thoughtfully gave me two weeks worth of samples to try the Divine Cream. I used it nightly, over my other serums, as she explained it was a rich cream and I anticipated it would be too heavy for my daytime requirements. After just one application, this heavenly cream went straight to the top of my skincare wish list. Incredibly rich, but not in a heavy or suffocating way, it's actually got a reasonably light texture and weight, absorbing into my skin reasonably quickly. Upon application, my skin felt well hydrated and incredibly soft and smooth when in the morning. I love the subtle (yet very distinct) fragrance which brings to mind native essential oils. Only requiring the smallest amount to spread over your face and neck, I suspect this is actually quite good value for money when buying a standard jar. I hope to get my paws on one soon!
