I have fine straight coloured hair and have always had issues with knots and tangles. This worked them all out without removing half my hair in the process and pain free. Great for detangling wet hair after a shower or for taming dry hair and leaving it smooth and shiny, and the bristles feel great giving an amazing scalp massage. It is perfect for hair of any length, would not matter if it be long or short, even though I have fine hair I believe it would do just as good a job of removing those tangles out of long thick hair, just as pain free, as it did on mine. Due to the shape of the brush it flexes as you brush and is really comfortable to hold, which I have found with other paddle brushes I have used can be quite uncomfortable to hold.

Was wonderful in giving my fine straight hair some body and volume, but when we used it on my friends hair which is long and full and thick, it ran out of power half way through and had to be recharged which took a little while. I found the power button to be positioned in an awkward place, as when I was using the styler I kept pressing it accidentally and changing the temperature or turning the unit off. As it is quite compact it only has a small heat plate so quite time consuming for thicker hair. For light beach waves, a bit of volume or tidying up straight hair I think this is a great little unit.
