It’s such a treat to receive a high-quality hair styling tool - especially one as advanced and thoughtfully designed as this. The AIRvive™ Digital Hair Dryer features high-speed Ionic Air Technology that helps eliminate static and frizz while drying hair quickly without extreme heat. It also releases heat-activated micro-conditioners for all-day frizz protection, keeping hair smooth and healthy-looking. Its advanced digital motor spins five times faster than a conventional dryer, delivering powerful airflow that can handle even long, thick hair efficiently. What really sets it apart is that it’s ultra-gentle. The built-in protective thermal sensor continuously regulates air temperature to prevent overheating, while the Comfort+™ setting is designed to be kind to the scalp, avoiding that uncomfortable heat build-up during drying. The magnetic slim styling concentrator and curl-defining diffuser both rotate 360°, making styling much easier and more precise. With 12 heat and speed combinations, it’s clearly built to suit every hair type and preference. What I personally love about this dryer: Ionic Air Technology for smoother, less frizzy results. Heat-activated micro-conditioners (whatever this means!) with the new anti-frizz formula (with results I can observe). Lightweight, balanced T-shape design, which means no awkward wrist angles and shoulder angles when drying for longer periods. Magnetic attachments (love how easy they are to switch!) 3-metre power cord - so convenient for flexible styling. My previous Remington hairdryer has just about reached the end of its life, so I was genuinely thrilled to receive this upgrade. Compared to my older model, the AIRvive™ is noticeably lighter, quieter, and less hot to the touch - I can actually come close to the nozzle without burning my hand, which wasn’t the case with my last one! So far, I’m really enjoying using it. It dries my hair and leaving it soft and smooth, and it feels like a big step up in both performance and comfort. A truly impressive and generous inclusion from Remington!

It’s always exciting to receive a hair styling tool: such a thoughtful inclusion for the event. This versatile 2-in-1 styler is designed to transform your styling routine, being tough on frizz but gentle on hair. It offers two modes: Wet Mode, which uses a concentrated stream of warm air and low-temperature styling plates to dry and smooth damp hair without extreme heat - helping hair retain its natural moisture for up to 24 hours for an ultra-soft finish. Finishing Mode, which reduces the airflow while boosting plate temperature to smooth stubborn strands or refresh hair between washes. I really like the thoughtful design details - the colour, the wide 35mm plates, hinge lock, hang loop, automatic safety shut-off, extra-long 3m swivel cord, and the included heat-resistant styling mat all make it feel safe, practical, and user-friendly. However, in terms of performance, I found that for my very long and thick hair, the Wet Mode takes quite a while to fully dry and straighten. I had really hoped this would be a game-changer (since I love tools that can both dry and straighten), but for my hair type it just wasn’t powerful enough to replace my usual blow-dryer and straightener combo. As a straightener alone, it works well - smooth results and easy handling - but I already have a good straightener, so it somewhat defeats the purpose of the 2-in-1 design. At the moment, I’ve been using it on slightly damp hair, either air-dried or pre-dried with a blow-dryer, which gives good results without taking too long. I do hope Remington eventually releases a more powerful version, because the concept is fantastic and would suit finer or medium-density hair types perfectly.

A big thank you to Beautyheaven and Burt's Bees for the chance to try the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia at the Best in Beauty Event 2025! The Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm promises to take your lips from dry to soft and hydrated in just one swipe. It’s made with shea butter, botanical waxes, and a soft tint that gives lips up to 8 hours of moisture. The Red Dahlia shade has a lovely warm neutral hue, just the right amount of colour to make your lips look better, but still very natural and “your lips, but better.” I really enjoyed using this tint. I haven’t reached for Burt’s Bees solid balms in a while (I’ve been loving their Lip Shine and Squeezy Balm ranges lately), so it was nice to revisit a classic format. The colour is flattering, and it’s very convenient to pop in your bag for quick touch-ups. While I did like it, I personally find the squeezy tube formulas a touch more moisturising for my lips. This tinted balm has a slightly more waxy texture, which feels more protective - almost like it sits on the surface as a barrier rather than deeply hydrating. That said, it’s still lovely to use, and it makes a great low-maintenance replacement for lipstick when you just want a natural wash of colour and some everyday nourishment.

A big thank you to Beautyheaven and Clinique for gifting me the Clinique Moisture Surge Active Glow Serum at the Best in Beauty Event 2025! As someone who loves lactic acid, vitamin C, and a good healthy glow, this serum is right up my alley. It’s formulated with 5% Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate dull, dead skin cells, helping other actives sink in better. Hyaluronic Acid provides that signature Moisture Surge hydration, infusing the skin with plumping moisture, while Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant to help brighten the complexion over time. The serum comes in a sleek dropper bottle and has a milky texture with the faintest pink tint. It contains mica and oxides, which give an instant cosmetic glow, perfect for days when you want that fresh, dewy finish right away. I’ve been using it under makeup with no issues at all - no pilling, and it layers beautifully with other products. On lazy days, I even mix a few drops into my foundation for a radiant boost. The form of Vitamin C used here is Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP), a gentler derivative that’s less likely to cause irritation. The 5% Lactic Acid concentration is on the milder side, which works well for my skin and shouldn’t cause sensitivity for most people. So far, I’ve been loving the instant glow and hydration this serum gives, and I’m looking forward to seeing the longer-term brightening and skin-smoothing effects as I keep using it.

I was really excited to try this because Dermal Therapy products have always impressed me with their no-fuss, effective formulas, and this one is no exception. The Overnight Face Repair Cream is packed with an incredible mix of powerhouse ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid for fast-acting hydration, Collagen and Peptides to help firm and boost elasticity, Ceramides to strengthen and repair the skin barrier, and Antioxidants and Vitamins to rejuvenate and restore the skin while you sleep. It even includes Urea, which gently exfoliates away dead skin cells so your complexion looks fresh and renewed by morning. The texture feels nourishing and rich, yet surprisingly lightweight given how many amazing ingredients it contains. I love how my skin feels soft, smooth, and refreshed when I wake up. It’s such a pleasant surprise to see this level of quality and thoughtful formulation at such an affordable price point. Another wonderful product from Dermal Therapy! They’ve really nailed the balance between effectiveness, simplicity, and value once again!

A huge thank you to Beautyheaven and Dermal Therapy for giving us the chance to try the Dermal Therapy Lip Balm Original at the Best in Beauty Event 2025! I’ve been a loyal fan of Dermal Therapy ever since Beautyheaven introduced the brand, and I’ve tried so many of their products since then. They always deliver simple yet highly effective solutions for everyday skin and lip concerns. The Lip Balm Original is definitely no exception! I’ve previously used the version that comes in a little jar (which lasted ages), as well as the tube packaging but in a different colour (before re-branding), and the tube packaging is such a handy option for on-the-go use. It instantly soothes dry lips, provides a protective layer, and what I love most is how long it stays on: no need to reapply constantly like with many other lip balms. The balm has a light minty flavour, making it refreshing and suitable even for older kids. My 8-year-old daughter loves using the original balm (which comes after the berry flavour) too! At the event I learnt that the lip balm also comes in tinted versions - I cannot wait to try them!

Hydrate & Nourish Conditioner with Abysinnian Oil comes with Hydrate & Nourish Shampoo, as well as the Sweet Almond & Vanilla Body Wash in a travel pack. I've long been a fan of the Thanks to Nature Everyday Dry Shampoo. I found it very effective, and now glad to have the chance to try the matching shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately, I think this conditioner misses the mark for my hair! The texture of the condition is very runny - I would say that it is way too runny to be packaged in an inverted squeeze tube. Once the seal is broken the conditioner is unstoppable! So I need to now be extra prepared and cautious when opening the cap. The conditioner smells just like the shampoo - with an unmistakable coconut scent, and perhaps a hint of shea butter. The scent doesn't linger, which is probably what I prefer with nutty-type hair products. Now I really wish that it works for my hair. My hair is very long, quite thick and have always been on the drier side. I am a pro-silicone hair product kinda girl, and this conditioner DOES have silicone in it. However, I find it way too light and it didn't do very much on my hair at all! I love the super soft, super smooth and silky feeling after using conditioner, and I just did not feel it with this conditioner. My hair was also a bit of a frizz bomb after hair was dried. Due to the runny nature I would have preferred if it was packaged in a pump bottle, as the squeeze tube packaging is prone to squeezing out too much accidentally. Thanks again for letting us try this conditioner - I do like the shampoo but unfortunately this conditioner is just not enough for my dry hair!

I have no idea of what Abyssinian Seed Oil smells, like, but the scent of this shamppoo reminds me of coconut. It cleanses hair very well, and can be rinsed off well with ease. Overall I find this shampoo very good value. Thanks again for letting us try product!

I've long been a fan of the Thanks to Nature Sweet Almond & Vanilla Shower oil. I particularly love it for the scent. I'm glad that it now comes in the form of a body wash! The texture is soft and silky (but on the runny side), lathers up beautifully and did not leave my skin drying. Feels very luxurious to apply. The scent does not linger however, in this aspect I do prefer the shower oil for a lasting experience. This particular wash is more suitable for warmer months/summer. I hope Thanks to Nature would make a complementary body cream. Due to the runny nature I would have preferred if it was packaged in a pump bottle, as the squeeze tube packaging is prone to squeezing out too much accidentally. Thanks again for letting us try this body wash!

I recently tried this scalp scrub as part of beautyheaven "Best in Beauty" beauty event, and I have to say - this one surprised me! The texture is very thick, almost waxy, and it’s packed with top notch ingredients like marine collagen, spirulina, and rosemary oil that are designed to purify and refresh the scalp, stimulate blood flow to skin surface and fortify hair. When I used it, I found it quite invigorating - it gives that clean, almost gritty feeling and makes my roots feel noticeably lighter. The scent is probably my favourite part though; it’s like a salty ocean breeze, super fresh and uplifting. Because the texture is so dense, it can be a little tricky to rinse out completely, so I’d definitely recommend following up with shampoo. Once it’s all out though, my scalp felt so clean and balanced. In my work as a hairstylist, a clean scalp (and therefore root lift) is non-negotiable. After using this, I’m really keen to try the rest of the Justice Marine Beauty range - especially the shampoo and conditioner - if they smell as good as this scrub, I’m in! I am already a huge fan of their leave-in treatment, Smooth and Groom, having gone through bottles of it! So keen to discover more of their innovative range.
