I don't often rave about a beauty product, however this time I am! I requested a sample of this product and unfortunately it never arrived. I decided to contact Trilogy and let them know and they very kindly sent me a full size product! From the first moment I used it I knew it was going to be something special. From it's nutty scent to the way it so easily absorbed into my skin, I thoroughly enjoyed using it. Being Trilogy, you tend to think of rosehip and whilst the product does contain rosehip seed oil, it does not have that scent at all. I just noticed it is currently discounted 60% for the Black Friday sale, so now is the time to purchase it! I will definitely be purchasing it again as I noticed a distinct change in the clarity and smoothness of my skin within 7 days. I think it is a truly magical product and one I would highly recommend.

I really don't know what to say about this product. I was running low on my regular eye makeup remover so chose this as part of my Rewards Room order. I have used other Bioderma products in the past and have always found them to be very effective, however I felt this product fell short of it's claims. Whilst I understand how the product works, I still found it left an oily residue around my eyes. I did not have any adverse reaction to the product, but I really did not like the oily feeling which remained. It did however remove my non waterproof eye makeup with ease.

I am currently using this deodorant as these days I am opting to go aluminium free when it comes to deodorants. It was on special at Chemist Warehouse and I selected the Lily Flower & Chamomile as I wasn't overly keen on the other scents. I am very pleased to report that the deodorant passed the "no odour" test on a 32 degree day here last week in Brisbane when the air conditioning wasn't working in the office. I have tried many other brands of aluminium free deodorants with varying degrees of success and it was great to see Essano are now making a deodorant and as I have tried and have been very happy with several of their products I knew I would be purchasing a product which is effective. They are also very up front about the effectiveness of the product by showing it "delivers up to 8 hours protection" which really impressed me. I wouldn't have a problem taking it with me and quickly reapplying it should I need to. Also by seeing "Fragrance" near the end of the ingredients list I knew it wasn't going to have an overpowering and unnatural scent like many commercial brands of deodorant. 98% of the ingredients are of natural origin. At this stage I don't see the need to switch deodorants while this one is performing well.

I have almost finished my bottle of this amazing treatment essence and there is a definite visible difference in the appearance of my skin. I have been using it in the morning as I don't like anything too heavy on my skin as I tend to sweat a lot, especially during Queensland's warmer months. It is hydrating and absorbs very easily and my skin feels and looks very smooth. Like all the Clarins plant based products it smells beautiful, however it is not at all overpowering. For my mind at $93.00 for a 200ml bottle, it is definitely money well spent.

As I am allergic to mint due to an oral medical condition, I have to use a toothpaste which has no mint flavouring or SLS. Unfortunately my choices are extremely limited when it comes to unflavoured toothpastes. I tried Alfree many years ago and wasn't at all happy with the formula and found it went hard in the tube and a watery liquid would come out of the tube. It also fell off my toothbrush very easily. Then it was reformulated and I can honestly say it isn't much better and does have a rather odd taste. I can live with the fact that it doesn't give you that "minty fresh feeling" after brushing which is purely a feel good thing, however I do expect the quality to be so much better when you are paying $6.49 for a 100g tube at Chemist Warehouse. One of the major chemist brands in Australia used to make their own brand however it was discontinued. Another Australian owned toothpaste company also discontinued their flavour free toothpaste, so I am left with Alfree. I'm not happy about it but I have no other choice for the time being and I need to brush my teeth twice daily. I do appreciate what the founder of the brand is trying to do by creating this toothpaste for those with allergies, but I am definitely not a fan and have used much better brands in the past.

I rarely purchase The Body Shop products, however I was looking for a new hand cream so decided to try The Body Shop Shea formula. On application I found it to be very rich and creamy however the fragrance is overpowering. I could still smell it on the top of my hands 24 hours later after hand washing and sanitising! As I usually apply a hand cream at night prior to going to bed, I found the fragrance to be much too strong and I just could not get off to sleep. I noticed Parfum/Fragrance is shown very high on the list of ingredients. On the upside it did leave my hands feeling very soft and moisturised the next morning.

After seeing the Avene Hydrance Hydrating Aqua-Gel Night Sleeping Mask reviewed on a few beauty websites I was keen to try it myself. I have been using this product three times a week for the past 2 weeks and I have to say I have experienced a noticeable difference in the appearance and texture of my mature skin. In the evening you simply apply the gel to a thoroughly cleansed face with the spatula provided. Then you smooth it over your face, neck and eye contour area. You can be generous with this product to obtain maximum benefits. The gel is silky smooth and has a wonderful fresh scent. I was a little concerned that it may rub off during the night whilst turning over in bed, however I was pleased to say it was very much still on my skin in the morning. Then you simply cleanse your skin and apply a daytime moisturiser. My skin felt silky soft and very smooth. If you are experiencing facial skin dehydration then this is the product for you.

I recently purchased the Du'It VE+ Vitamin E Face Cream as I have long been a believer that Vitamin E is one of the best products to promote healthy skin. My skin has been dry due to the colder winter weather and I felt I needed a thicker facial moisturiser to apply in the evening. I purchased the 50g tube for $11.99 from Chemist Warehouse and I have to say their claim of "Visible effects within 1 day" actually rings true. It contains 12% Vitamin E, is free from parabens, petrolatum, mineral oil, propylene glycol and is Australian made and owned. It is of a rather thick consistency and does take awhile to absorb, however I think this is a good sign as it shows the product is not mainly water, despite the fact that water is the first ingredient listed. I found in the morning that my skin appeared to be clearer and it seemed firmer. The only downside I discovered was a very slight feeling of flakiness on my skin which I can still feel the following evening after applying it. It isn't visible and is mainly on my forehead but it's not really something which bothers me. All in all the Du'It VE+ Vitamin E Face Cream is a very affordable and effective product.

I don't particularly want to stop my underarms from sweating, however I do expect a product to stop body odour. For me this was not the case with Nivea Pearl & Beauty anti-perspirant. I contacted Nivea direct and they suggested I try the Nivea Stress Protect anti-perspirant which I am yet to do. I was attracted to this product due to the the fact it did not contain ethanol and I did not have any irritation from using it, however I did find I could still smell some body odour after being rather active. On the positive side, the fragrance is very pleasant. I'm not sure what pearl extracts (hydrolyzed pearl as listed in the ingredients) are supposed to do for your skin, however I am thinking this is probably more of a marketing tool to try and sell the product. This product is definitely not one I will purchase again.

I can remember using Mitchum anti-perspirant deodorant when it used to come in a glass bottle with the moniker "So effective you could even skip a day!" Usually I find products with a baby powder or powder fresh scent to be very pleasant to wear, however I did not like the fragrance of this product in the slightest. I found it was an odd, chemical like fragrance and was very disappointed. As for 48 hour protection, well I don't think this is actually a true statement. I shower every day and always apply an anti-perspirant. Perhaps if you didn't shower every day you could test their claim, but that's not for me. I also found it slightly irritating to my underarms but on the upside I didn't notice any body odour. I won't be purchasing this again and will continue to search for a product I am happy with.
