I was sent the Glow Lab Facial Moisturiser as part of a trial team. The product comes in a white plastic tube with a convenient flip top lid. The moisturiser contains macadamia, rosehip seed oil, and shea butter, as well as vitamin E, and claims to soothe and protect the skin, fighting the signs of premature aging. The moisturiser is a white cream which is fairly strongly fragranced, but not unpleasantly so. The cream is quite light in texture and is easily absorbed into the skin. A little big goes a long way; a small amount is enough for the face and neck. The product left a smooth and even surface on my face, and could be used under makeup without causing it to 'pill' or separate. This is a really nice lightweight moisturiser; although I prefer a richer cream at night time, this is a good day moisturiser. My only complaint is that it does not contain a sunscreen.

I was sent the Du'it Tough Hands Intensive Skin Repair hand cream as part of a trial team. The product comes in a sturdy plastic white, yellow, and blue 150g tube with a convenient flip top lid. I was keen to try this product as my hands have been quite dry lately; with frequent hand washing and sanitising, my hands were starting to feel a bit rough and chapped and in need of some serious moisturising! The cream is easy to apply and is not too thick, being more like a lotion in texture. It is not too greasy or oily, and is unscented and almost colourless. It absorbs fairly quickly, leaving my hands feeling quite soft and well moisturised, but does leave a bit of sticky residue. I applied this residue to my elbows and knees, and it worked well at softening these areas too! I used this hand cream a couple of times per day (after washing hands), and it continued to make my hands feel soft and soothed.

I received the Biore Pore Strips as part of a trial team. I hadn't used this type of product in many years, not since I was a teenager, and I was interested to see if they would still be effective for me. My skin tends to be on the dry side nowadays, but I still have a few enlarged pores on my nose, so I was hopeful that this product may go some way to correcting this problem. The strips come in a box of six. As directed, after cleansing my face, I wet my nose and applied the strip after removing the plastic liner, and twisting the strip to separate the slits at the top and bottom. The strip is left on for ten minutes until completely dry, then (carefully!) peeled off from the sides inward until the strip is completely peeled off. I must admit that I was disappointed that there wasn't any sign of 'gunk' - blackheads or dirt on the strip! Not sure if I used it wrongly (I don't think so), or my skin just doesn't have the dirt there to be cleaned out, but I will try these again and see how it goes!

I received the Lady Jayne Salon Pro Scalp Brush as part of a trial team. My hair is curly and a bit frizzy, and my scalp is a bit sensitive at times, so I was curious to see the effect of this brush on my hair and scalp. The brush has a wooden 'body' with metal bristles set in a rubber pad. The bristles have rounded ends to avoid scratching the scalp. The brush feels really nice in my hand, it is nicely weighted and does not pull on the wrist. I used this brush every morning before I washed my hair; it provided a thorough (but not unpleasant) scalp massage, brushing away any dirt or product build up in the hair itself. The brush left my scalp feeling stimulated - a bit tingly and definitely helped with circulation in the scalp! The brush looks good, works well and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a firm hairbrush.

I received this product as part of a trial team, and was keen to try it, as I am prone to eczema and allergies and am always on the lookout for gentle products that I can use without them causing a reaction on my sensitive skin. This product is housed in a 250ml bottle with an easy to use pump top; the lotion has no fragrance or colour, and although it is a fairly thick lotion, it is absorbed quickly and easily, leaving my skin feeling very soft and well moisturised. It has no greasy or sticky feel and leaves no residue on the skin, just a nice soft feeling. This product has been perfect for my winter-dry and flaky skin, smoothing and soothing and generally making my skin feel and look better. This product is excellent value for money; good for sensitive skin, it can be used by all ages. I would repurchase this product.

I received this product as part of a trial team, and as an avid user of lip balms, I was keen to try this one! The balm is contained in a 10g plastic tube with a screw type lid, and the product is squeezed through a slanted applicator. The balm goes on clear and feels lovely and soft on the lips without being sticky or oily, and is slightly glossy. It makes the lips feel soft and smooth, a feeling that lasts for a long time after application. The balm has a very slight taste and scent of paw paw without it being too sweet or strongly tasting. This product can be used day or night; my lips were soft and felt really hydrated after using this product overnight. This product is terrific value for money and I will repurchase after finishing this tube. My only negative comment is that it does not contain a sunscreen; I deducted a point for this.

I received this product as part of a trial team and was keen to try it as my skin has been looking a little dull lately, and this product claimed to dissolve dead skin cells, stimulate cell regeneration, and deliver soothing hydration to new skin cells, as well as visibly refining pores and reducing fine lines and surface discolouration. The product is housed in a bottle with a pump dispenser, making it easy to use. The serum is a clear liquid, and one pump is used on the face and throat once or twice a week at night time. The instructions warn of the possibility of a light tingling sensation after application, and that those with sensitive skin may want to rinse the product off after one minute to avoid irritation. I have sensitive skin and did not have any tingling or other adverse reaction to this product at all. As I have only had a fairly short time to test this product, (I have only used it three times), I have not seen any difference in my skin after use, certainly not overnight as the product claims, but will continue to use this product and I am keen to see the final results.

I received this product as part of a trial team and was keen to try this; I have very fair skin that always burns, never tans, and the thought of having a natural, gradually developing tan seemed quite appealing. And the potential for firmer skin, with a reduction in the appearance of cellulite was a bonus! The product was in the shade Fair to Medium and came in a large 221ml tube with a flip top lid, making it easy to use. The product is a thick white cream with a lovely coconut scent, which smooths on evenly, and absorbs fairly quickly, with a nice moisturising feel to the cream. As instructed, I used this every day (after showering), and allowed it to dry thoroughly before getting dressed. After a few days of using this product, I was able to see a gradual development of colour; unfortunately, it seemed to look quite yellow-toned on my fair skin and I stopped using it thereafter.

I received a bottle of the A'Kin Brightening Vitamin C& Rosehip Oil as part of a Glosscars prize from Beauty Heaven, and was keen to try it as I had found other rosehip oils to be too greasy for me. I used this product twice a day as recommended, under my usual moisturiser. Unfortunately, this oil also seemed quite greasy to me, leaving a film on my skin that made my moisturiser 'pill', and felt quite sticky and unpleasant after use. I also tried using it as a body lotion, but it still took ages to sink in and left that unpleasant film on my skin. I'm not sure who this would suit - someone with extremely dry skin?

I received this product as part of the Glosscars trial team. I was curious to try this product as I have tried other argan oil products in the past and they have been too heavy/greasy for my fine hair. My hair is also a bit damaged from being highlighted and really needed a moisture boost. The mask is contained in a blue an gold plastic tub with a screw top lid, and the product is a lightweight cream, pale gold in colour and with a pleasant scent. I used this mask after washing my hair with my usual shampoo; I applied it and left it in for about five minutes before rinsing it out. I then let my hair air dry, and when I did, my hair was soft, shiny, and my curls were bouncy and non-frizzy. I loved this mask! I used it twice a week, and love the way that it makes my hair look and feel. I will definitely be repurchasing this, I love it!
