Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Cream-Serum with Hyaluronic Acid Made in USA the 14ml tube of eye cream-serum is a pleasure to apply. The understanding that it contains hypoallergenic properties and hydrates the delicate eye area is comforting. It not only has Hyaluronic acid as its main ingredient to give moisture to the skin, it also contains Liquorice Extract and a Vitamin complex including Niacinamide. Niacinamide, B3, helps to improve an uneven or dull skin tone, along with reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The acclaimed Licorice root has a soothing effect and redness-reducing effect on sensitive skin. It also contains Camellia leaf extract and Camellia seed oil which is a gentle moisturizer and helps to brighten the complexion around the eye. Lightly fragranced so as you don’t even notice it. The cream-serum ended up similar to the consistency of a gel. I truly loved this product – I think that my under eye area especially has lightened considerably over the three weeks. Their best product by far.

Cetaphil Rich Night Cream with Hyaluronic Acid This thick white cream is for Normal to Very Dry Skin, so it works wonders for women in my older age group with sensitive skin as it is hypoallergenic, and also does not clog pores. Made in Canada, the 48g night cream with Hyaluronic Acid is invaluable to all of us who want or need to keep their skin hydrated and nourished overnight. Good to know that other ingredients such as pro-vitamin A (supports the skin's immune system and helps in hydration) plus Vitamins E (to nourish and protect the skin through the night) and C complex (antioxidants with anti-aging benefits) combined with olive extract keep the skin smooth and moisturised. Glycerin as its fifth ingredient improves skin's smoothness and moisture content. It is a humectant which attracts moisture to the skin. It is fragrance free so as not to notice, and it also has a natural antimicrobial preservative, which is a plus.

Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid It states that it is for Normal to Very Dry Skin and is Hypoallergenic which is comforting to most of us with sensitive skin. The 88ml bottle of off-white lotion is made in Canada. It has quite a thin consistency, however, leaves my face feeling a little sticky and for a number of hours, no matter how thinly I applied it. I think the “…intense hydration…” may have been the lingering feel of it on my skin throughout the day. It has as its fourth ingredient, Glycerin, a humectant which attracts moisture to the skin to improve skin's smoothness. Along with Hyaluronic acid, other humectants and skin conditioning and firming ingredients, provides the skin with all its daytime needs. As I spend a lot of time indoors I have this Lotion on all day till the evening when I cleanse again. Out of the three week trial period I only used make-up six times and I felt that my make-up adhered quite well to the product. Everyone’s skin is different and mine with the rosacea problems has not improved significantly nor has it become worse. However, my skin did seem a lot more calm than usual.

Cetaphil Daily Exfoliating Cleanser Up to the trial period of three weeks using Cetaphil products, I had only exfoliated the skin on my face, once a week at most. As I unfortunately have rosacea, I certainly didn’t feel the need for daily exfoliation and twice a day seemed a bit much. However, as this was a trial I’d accepted, I did use the Exfoliator twice a day after the Foaming Cleanser. The fragrance of the 178ml tube, made in Germany, is a clean smell of water/medicinal, a bit like an ocean fragrance – and on the tube itself it has the ingredient “masking fragrance”. The most difficult part I found was to only squeeze a small amount out of the tube – it seemed to want to ooze out! The product is clear with has a clear texture – the micro-fine beads are invisible. It lathers up easily on the face and neck, a thick consistency to begin with and then with the water it smooths out to a lovely creamy consistency to massage in. However, you need to rinse it off very well, as it may leave a residue if you don’t. I think I would follow the instructions/directions on the tube which state “Designed for daily use…”

As soon as I opened the bag of goodies from Beauty Heaven I could smell what I call a medicinal smell that I didn’t particularly like, however, the aim was to try products formulated for sensitive skin. I would certainly qualify in that regard as I have rosacea and one Dermatologist I’d visited, had Cetaphil Products on the shelves in his office. Although the facial Cleanser, made in Canada, is labelled Fragrance free I would hasten to say that it has a slight medicinal smell. I liked the look and pump action of the 236ml bottle. The whitish foam gave a nice lather with lots of airy bubbles and seemed very gentle on my skin. We were directed to use it on the neck as well as the face. It is certainly easy and convenient to use and, as it is conditioned with Vitamin E and also has B5 (Pantothenic Acid) as a softening and smoothing agent, it became apparent to me that you could safely use this cleanser every day, keeping the skin healthy.

With its rose gold slim case and clear lid the Sheer Glow Colour Balm is a great find. I used the pink colour (No. 03) of the four from which to choose - it is a good subtle neutral. There's one to suit any and all skin colours and textures. It just glides on with its easy to apply texture and leaves the lips moist and feeling nourished with ingredients like Sweet Almond oil, Shea butter and Mango seed butter. I enjoyed applying it at different times of the day for an instant moisturising effect and also for the prettiness of the colour and sheen left on my lips. I'm guessing the light fragrance comes from the tangerine and desert lime ingredients which present as more natural and different from most other lipsticks. The advanced technology which brings us anti-oxidants and moisturising microspheres to plump and repair in a lip balm is unbelievable and rewarding for us as customers to use this Nude by Nature product.

The satin liquid lipstick which I received was in 'Rich Plum' (No. 09). I thought it would be a good colour for winter - it looked like it was a muted tone. I liked the fact of it being between a matte and a gloss lipstick. It presented as a long thin tube (as with most liquid lipsticks) and an elegant gold cap. The actual lipstick had a nice thick consistency and the shaped/angled application sponge on the end was impressive and very useful. It was easier to apply than having a straight sponge as with other lipsticks. I loved the fragrant aroma of what was probably from the citrus tangerine and desert lime. The ingredients list begins with a moisturising and conditioning oil and contains other butters and oils which soothe and nourish the lips. As I am fair and older, now that I've practiced with it so much I would probably only apply this particular colour (for me) on the bottom lip, smudge lips together, blot, then reapply. It gives a good dark outline.

I started using the lip primer with great anticipation as I've only ever used a facial primer for under make-up. For a small case it was packed full of the thick cream product. What I was surprised about was the fact that it was made in Canada even though Nude by Nature is an Australian company. I was also disappointed to find that the ingredients list commenced with silica and about half way through menthol appeared. The lip primer seemed to have no apparent smell, however, the taste was a different matter. I did not like the tingling sensation it produced due to the menthol ingredient which lasted for over an hour each time I used it. I do not want a tingly feeling on my lips for any extended amount of time. It did go on fairly smoothly, albeit a bit thick and following directions blending on and around the lips with fingertips smoothed it out well. It remains a primer for most people with nourishing butters and soothing oils which can only be of benefit for the lips.

Having used this cleansing oil for some months now, I have found it to be one of those essentials you can't live without. As a brand, Sukin Organics delivers some well-priced skincare, (often half-price at pharmacies and supermarkets) without any of the nasties, made with natural products and mostly organic. I found the cleansing oil quite light and more liquid in texture than others I've used. I pour a small amount into my hands, gently rub it into my face and rinse it off carefully with a cloth. No dramas! I love the fragrance and with the greens being nutritious for my skin, I'm happy.

I have found that the Nude by Nature Pressed Mineral Cover is relatively easy to apply, however, over time it becomes brittle and breaks up in the case. I am fair and I bought the shade Fair in this compact, yet it was still a bit too dark for my complexion. And as I am an older lady the powder seems to sit in the creases under my eyes and even turns a different colour from the rest of my face. I am still trying to use the broken pieces with a special flat powder brush. I probably would not buy this brand of pressed mineral powder again.
