Last week my old Remington Hairdryer decided to die, so I put it in the box and returned it to where I'd purchased it. It had a 5 year warranty and had lasted me 4years, almost to the day. The problem with replacing an older model is that you cannot find the exact same model on the shelf anymore, so I decided to go with one of these and get a $6 refund. Such a shame as I loved the featured on my old model. Ohh and I loved the Rose Gold colour as well. Anyway, I settled with this,even though it was black. The first thing I noticed when removing it from the box was it was smaller than the previous dryer. Smaller means lighter too, which isn't a bad thing for my poor old shoulder. Next, I noticed, it sadly didn't have as much grunt, being a 2200W motor, compared with the 2300W of my old one. This one does have great heat and also has a cool shot button. Another handy feature. It has a 3 year warranty (not bad). I'm just not 100% happy with it, so will be returning it this morning. I guess it is a problem with purchasing an item in a sealed box, when you can't plug something into a power source and inspect it before leaving a store. So, I will pay the extra $20 and get the next model up, which has an extra feature of an integrated Heat Sensor (?) I'm hoping this is the little button at the back of the handle, that the previous model had. This gave an extra boost of heat.

Thanks Beautyheaven for the opportunity to try this lovely Hand Cream - MAVALA Daily Protection. Such a pretty scented cream, not over powering. It's texture isn't greasy at all, but leaves hands feeling hydrated and smooth. A real treat for my extremely dry and wrinkled old hands. I've also noticed a marked improvement in the condition of my finger nails. Feeling quite spoilt! Only negative to report is I wish it were not so runny. It is more of a lotion than what I consider a Hand Cream. Other than that, a really lovely product.

Thank you Beautyheaven for sending me a tub of this amazing product as a prize recently. My usual face cleansing routine involves a packet of face wipes and a cheap Coles bought cleanser so I felt really spoilt being able to trial this lovely product. Pretty packaging... clear lilac coloured tub with a silver lid. The first thing I did was to see what it smelled like, so took a big sniff. It says fragrance free on the back label, but I could smell a very slight scent of something... possibly coconut... but not really. Next, begin application, so I gently wiped my fingers over the solid oily-like surface & massaged it all over my dry, make-up covered face. I massaged for a good minute or so taking care to make sure it covered my whole face. The solid oil seemed to dissolve my make-up on contact & the solid composition of the balm emulsified & turned into an oil-like cleanser. I actually enjoy this process as it feels quite luxurious on my face. After massaging my face I remove all cleanser with a lovely warm, & well soaked face washer. Rinse & repeat, rinse & repeat. My face felt better than I'd ever remembered it feeling before. I didn't feel the need to moisurize my face immediately after cleansing, but did so a few hours later before going to bed for the night.

I originally bought this brush for my 3 year old grand-daughter. When she comes over to stay, she complains like crazy when I brush her very long and thick hair. She complains to the point that it became such a battle that she never wanted her hair brushed. This brush just glides effortlessly through her hair! It is truly amazing! No more grizzles, no more knots or snags, it just slides straight through her long pretty locks leaving it with a shine. Hair time has become a delightful time and so now she is willing to stand still long enough so her hair can go into a style. I started using it myself and noticed that it is gentle on the scalp and hair, which means less hair breakage. Great handle, easy to hold. I have already recommended this lovely brush to others.

I've never been someone who has bothered much about my eyebrows, but after noticing that Brows have become a major fashion statement & thought I'd better 'up my game'. I found the waxing kit easy to use for a first-timer. I was careful with firstly reading the instructions "Everything you need for envious eyebrows." Hmmm... sounds exactly what I'm endeavouring to achieve here, I thought. Such a great little kit. Nad's Facial Wand Eyebrow Shaper, Premium Cotton Strips, Pre Wax Cleansing Wipes, Moisture and Soothing Balm & Universal Wow Brow Pencil. I must add here that I am a red-head & not very hairy. My eyebrows don't really need alot of maintenance work, but I have noticed lately that I am having to pluck the odd rogue eyebrow hair on a daily basis for some reason. .. most probably hormonal is my untrained guess. And I am tired of the daily plucking, so I was keen to give this waxing thingo a try. Firstly, I studied my brows. Yup, those few rogue ones were quiet obviously there. Over the time I also have noticed a few gaps appearing, probably due to acne scars, and the ends of my brows are becoming spars. So now I was on to them! I was careful in winding up the needed amount of waxing gel, & applying to my under brows in the direction of hair growth. Very sticky stuff, but not that difficult to control, even for this beginner. Next apply the cotton strip over the gel. Apply pressure over the area and holding the skin taut at the outer brow with one hand, quickly rip the strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Repeat on the other brow. There was no need to do in between. I was surprised that it wasn't too painful & that those rogue hairs were left right there on the cotton strip. The sticky residue from the gel rinsed away with warm water & I applied the Moisture Balm which was soothing. I particularly love the Wow Brow Pencil. It is particularly fine and is just what is needed in filling out the gaps and feathering in among what brows I have. It is the perfect colour match for me & the spoolie on the end helps to blend the colour right trough out my brow which helps in leaving my brows look well groomed yet natural.

Thankyou Beautyheaven for allowing me to be a part of the Nivea Hyaluron Cellular Filler Day Cream Trial Team. I have to say that I received my sample within 24 hours of being accepted to be on the team, so I was very impressed by such prompt delivery. I was keen to get started and so began using the Day Cream the next day, after my morning shower. The packaging is your classic looking no frills Nivea packaging. A little silver & mauve box with the familiar Blue Nivea wording. Nivea is a brand that I have used for decades and have always been happy to use it. I will try other brands temporarily, but I always come back to Nivea. On opening the foil seal, the gentle fragrance that I recognise as Nivea hit me. It’s a gentle and clean florally scent, not offensive in any way. I am super sensitive to fragrance, but this scent is friendly. The cream is thick, slightly off white and goes onto the skin easily, melting into my face in seconds. A little goes a long way. I then waited…. waited… for a tingle… a sting… something that would remind me that I was using this cream for the first time & that I should expect something… But it never came. That is such a surprise for my overly sensitive skin. An hour later my usually oily complexion, wasn’t oily at all. I could feel my face feeling nicely moisturised and comfortable. The next thing I noticed was my large open pore above my lip looking hardly obvious at all! The only way I can cover it it to apply a primer & make-up over the top, but here I was barefaced, with lovely clean skin. I don’t know how they’ve done it but there is a definite visible smoothing effect that has somehow flattened out the appearance of my old skin and open pores. I’m still hoping I will notice a difference with those fine lines that I’ve been collecting over the years. Fingers crossed. Very surprised and very impressive! After 2 weeks of regular daily use. I have not had any breakouts as a result of its use. I haven’t actually noticed a difference in the appearance of fine lines under/around the eyes, but have noticed improvement in my skins moisture and appearance. Makeup seems to apply over it well when I use it in the daytime. I’m happy that it contains a 15SPF. Very important for my fair, freckled & sun-damaged complexion. I’m just as happy to go without make-up knowing my large open pore is not as obvious, I feel less self-conscious about it. I will definitely continue to use this product and will recommend this product to my sisters, my Mum & girlfriends.

I love love love L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Radiance Re-activating Serum! Definitely the best Serum I have ever used. Thank you Beautyheaven for allowing me to be on you Trial team & trying this amazing product. I am 56 years old & have tried a number of Serums over the last couple of years. I understand the importance of using a Serum in my daily routine but unfortunately they all seem to be far to heavy for my personal liking and leave me with my skin feeling oily which only aggravates my skin to the point of acne production on and around my nose. Very distressing at my age! This Serum is radically different to any that I have ever used. The bottle it comes in is pretty enough to leave out on any bathroom vanity. The liquid is a gorgeous pale transparent rose gold colour which is on trend at the present time. The fragrance is delicately perfumed and minimal which I find important due to my sense of smell being overly-sensitive. It is not offensive in any way. Every other Serum I've ever used is oily, but not this one... it is light & non-greasy and instantly absorbs straight into the skin leaving your face feel refreshed, replenished, rejuvenated & re-hydrated. This feeling alone is enough to encourage me to continue using this lovely product.

L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Night Cream is a wonderful product & I was happy & thankful to be part of the Trial Team for Beautyheaven. Attractive packaging & love the pretty gold container it comes in. The fragrance smells delicate & not overwhelming in any way which is an important feature to me as my sense of smell is sensitive. The appearance of the Night Cream is thick, creamy & opaque white & on application the colour quickly disperses and the cream is absorbed into the skin leaving it feel moisturized but more importantly, not heavy or greasy. Over these last few weeks of use I have noticed my skin texture has improved slightly, fine lines are still there but not quite as noticeable. I use the Night cream last thing before retiring & on waking, my face feels smooth & fresh, not greasy. I really like using this Night Cream & will continue to do so as it truly suits my skin.

I received Loreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Rosy Re-densifying Day Cream SPF 15 as part of a Trial Team & was very excited to be trying it as I am always on the look out for suitable products for my skin. On its arrival I found the packaging to be lovely. Rose Gold is such an appealing colour and certainly on trend at the present time. The appearance of the container is beautiful and luxurious looking. I opened the lid and was reminded that this product promised to leave the skin with a 'healthy rosy glow', the cream was very thick looking and had the appearance of a make-up foundation with an unusual opaque pink tone to it. Very pleasant soft & slightly perfumed scent to it that was pleasing to me as I possess a highly sensitive sense of smell. It was not offensive at all. After cleansing my skin I applied the Day Cream & notice a slight tingle on my skin. This only happened the first & second times of use, after that it wasn't something that I was aware of at all. The thick cream is very moisturizing & contains SPF 15. I found the pink tint of the cream instantly give my face a rosy glow. As I am a red head with very fair skin with a reddish pink undertone I appreciate any Day Creams with sun protection. Unfortunately, as I have a this particular skin-tone, the cream certainly did not suit me as I felt it left me looking even more pink an usual. Sadly, I also have considerable sun-damage, freckles & age spots so the pink colour really took hold on the darker areas not leaving my skin look improved in any way, only making it appear blotchier. As the day went on, I couldn't wait to get home and wash my face clean as the cream felt far too heavy on my skin.
