Bed Head’s new ResurrectionTM Conditioner - This was provided as a part of the BH Trial Team. Designed for damaged hair, it has a high level of conditioning complex to nourishes, moisturises and conditions hair, while helping repair damage and make hair more resilient. 
For reference I have long, coloured hair with some damage and dry ends. The conditioner absorbs well into my hair, and it is easy - and fairly quickly to rinse out, whiteout feeling the need to keep rinsing to get rid of that greasy-residue-feeling. I have used in connection with the Resurrection™ Shampoo - and have at no stage used either on their own, so can only speak of the results when using together. But after each wash, my hair doesn’t feel weighed down by the conditioner and it is generally easy to comb out without too many knots. I mostly let my hair, and once it has, it is left feeling and looking soft, shiny and healthy, with minimal frizz. As also mentioned with the shampoo, I’m unsure if it actually has helped repair any damage and reduced breakage - but fact is that I cannot stop touching my hair as it feels soft and smooth!! The bottle I received Is a huge 750ml, so it will last absolutely ages, which is fantastic - and the huge size makes it quite affordable too at $32. However, considering the huge bottle, I do wish it had come with a pump to make dispensing easier. Like the shampoo, it has a divine fresh fruity fragrance, that you can smell without even opening the bottle. I personally I really love the scent, and how it continues to linger in my hair, BUT, if you’re sensitive stronger scents, it may be too strong for you! Overall a great Conditioner that I’ll continue to enjoy. Only giving it 4 out of 5 stars due to the lack of a pump!!

Bed Head Resurrection™ Shampoo - This was provided as a part of the BH Trial Team. Designed for weak, damaged and brittle hair, its to help make hair more resilient, smooth and healthy looking, by helping repair dry damaged hair, nourishing, moisturising and conditioning the hair. For reference I have long, coloured hair with some damage and dry ends. I only wash my long coloured hair a few times a week, but it effectively cleanses the hair in a single wash, without the need for a second wash. It froths up to a lovely soft foam, and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft, and without being stripped or feeling too ’squeaky’. I have used in connection with the ResurrectionTM Conditioner - and have at no stage used either on their own, so can only speak of the results when using together. But my hair is generally feeling so silky soft and smooth, it is also easy to comb. It dries nicely, without too much fries. Has it repaired any damage and reduced breakage - I am not sure, but overall my looks and feels healthy and shiny. The bottle I received Is a huge 750ml, so it will last absolutely ages, which is fantastic - and the huge size makes it quite affordable too at $32. I didn’t even have to open the bottle. In fact I could smell it while it was still in the enclosed padded envelope! I personally I absolutely love the scent, and how it leaves my hair smelling so good too - BUT, if you’re sensitive stronger scents, it may be too strong for you! Overall a great shampoo that I’ll enjoy till the end. Only giving it 4 out of 5 stars due to the lack of a pump!!

These pore strips promises to draw out and lift out any dirt and oil in the pores for a cleaner skin with less clogged pores. I remember using these as a teenager, on a weekly basis, and they did wonders. Personally I don’t use them anymore, as I simply dont really have that many blackheads on my nose, but also as I prefer other alternatives, such as a mud mask to keep my skin clean and clear. However, my hubby loves them. I’ve tried for ears to get him to cleanse his skin, but haven’t been successful - however, when he remembers he will do a weekly nose strip - and as all of us, finds it very satisfying removing and seeing all the gunk it has pulled out. He does however tend to use the ones specifically designed for men to fit his larger nose! But used frequently, they definitely help keep his skin looking nicer and clearer, and without irritating the skin. I like that they come individually wrapped and they’re super easy to use. Simply wash the face and dampen the nose area before applying the strip with the smooth side down, pressing it down for contact with the skin. Then you need to leave I to dry for approx 10m minus, before slowly peeling it off. They can leave a little bit of sticky residue behind, but it is easily removed by rinsing with water when done! They are also quite affordable, as it works out to be just over $1 per treatment. If you have issues with blackheads and condensation on the nose area, I definitely recommend that you give these a try.

This lip balm is enriched with pawpaw and papaya seed oil to help soothe and hydrate severely dry and chapped lips. I am very fortunate that I rarely struggle with very dry or chapped lips, so I cannot speak of the claims working on my lips. However, my 6 year old has always struggled with extremely dry and cracking lips, regardless of how often we put lip balm on him. I don’t tend to use just any lip balm on his lips, preferring to use natural ones and free of chemical nasties, - sadly this one is not all natural, but at least free from the chemical nasties. It has a creamy consistency and is easy to apply from the tube as it as a slanted tip. It also spread easily, though leaving the lips feeling slightly greasy, but not sticky, and immediately feeling quite moisturising on the lips. It has a subtle very faint fruity that’s suitable for the whole family, but It does leave a slight sheen, so my hubby is personally not keen on it, but the kids don’t mind. I’ve been using it on my own lips at night before bed, and definitely woken to lips that feels softer and smoother. As for the 6year old, I’ve also been using it on him at bedtime, and it seems to be working its magic on his lips too, with them looking less dry and cracked each morning, so it appears we’ve found a new household stable. Will definitely repurchase to use when my boy’s lips are at their worst. It’s quite affordable too at just $5.99 it is quite affordable too.

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Glow Lab for sending me this Facial Moisturiser to try. This moisturiser has a blend of natural nourishing ingredients incl Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil, Glycerin, Rosehip oil and Vitamin E to soothe, moisturise and nourish the skin, while protecting against premature ageing. It is fragrance free so it has neat to no scent, though you can detect subtle notes of the natural ingredients, which is still very pleasant. It has a light consistency that absorbs quickly without any greasiness, and feels nice on my combination breakout prone skin, without making it breakout or congested. It also layered well, so works well with a serum underneath, and makeup on top. It is a lovely moisturiser and it comes in a huge 100ml tube, which makes it very affordable as it will last you a long time. I love the fact that it contains so many natural ingredients and is also cruelty free and has a recyclable packaging, however, at my age, I feel do feel that I need something a little more intense for my mature skin., I feel it would be better suited for with younger skin types.

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and DU’IT for sending me the Tough Hands Fragrance Free is a fragrance-free hand cream to try. Between winter and the constant use of sanitiser, my hands are currently always dry. This hand cream is designed to give long-term moisture and protection, while being free from fragrances and other chemical nasties such as parabens and mineral oil. It also contains natural lactic acid which helps gently exfoliate away any dead skin cells and dryness, which I really like. I admit to usually liking a scented hand cream, for me the sensory part of a product is an important part, but for night time, I admit that it can be nice that it is unscented. Plus it makes it great for your hubby too. It is very concentrated so you only need the smallest amount - too much and you’re left with greasy and sticky hands, so it does take a little getting used to - but once you got it right, it does absorb quickly into the hands and leaves them feeling soft and hydrated. While I have dry hands, they are far from cracked or irritated, so I cannot speak of its claims of visibly working on that within a day, but used each night, you do wake with hands that are ready to face the day. Plus the tube is huge with 150ml for just $11.95, so it is great value too.

Thank you Beauty Heaven and John Plunkett’s for sending me SuperBright Exfoliating Skin Brightener to try. This treatment contains 25% glycolic acid to give the skin a chemical resurfacing overnight to help reduce and refine mores, fine lines and discolourations. Due to its strength it is recommended to use it at night 1-2 times a week - unless you have sensitive skin, in which case it is recommended to wash off after 1 minute! I don’t have sensitive skin, and had no issues using it over night. The clear formula goes on easily. It doesn’t tingle ever so slightly, not nothing too dramatic, and leave the skin feeling a little dry once its dried in, but its recommended to use a moisturiser on top - to seal it in, which does help. I’ve only used it a couple of times still, so cannot speak of ongoing use, but do like how it makes my skin feel and look after each use. In the morning I’ll spash my face with cold water, and is left with a skin that is so soft and smooth, and well as it is looking clearer, with any breakouts as well as congestion reducing as well, and the skin simply looking refreshed, glowing and radiant. IT really is like a facial in a bottle - and with all the magic happening while you sleep. Again still early days to speak of any brightening effects, but I have no doubt that it will, including help fade newer post-breakout marks. I am really enjoying it and found it easy to incorporate into my skincare routine a few times a week, and will continue to use it - and would definitely consider repurchasing. At $29.95 it is quite well priced too - and although the bottle contains just 15ml it is very concentrated so you will get a lot of treatments it it!

Thank you Beauty Heaven and Jergens for sending me the Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturiser to trial. This is a body moisturiser that also gradually tans the skin while promising to reduce cellulite and firm the skin. Firstly, I very rarely self tan. Firstly, as I cannot usually be bothered and/or got too many other things happening having little kids, and secondly, as I simply cannot stand the smell that usually develops along with the tan. This one has a light creamy consistency and is easily applied. I’ve been trying it every second day for a week or so, and it has both kept my skin moisturised, and ever so slowly given my skin a subtle tan, talking ‘the top of’ my winter paleness. Nothing too dramatic, which I don’t like anyway - and guess if I wanted it darker, I could either apply it daily, or alternatively go for the Medium to Tan version in stead. I haven’t noticed any difference in the appearance of cellulite and firmness of my skin, but frankly also didn’t expect that. As for the smell.. it has a fresh scent but unfortunately, thanks to containing both coconut oil and water, all I can smell is coconut, and it is the one scent that I am sadly not a fan of. I’d does develop a slight smell along with the tan, as it seems all other self-tanners, but actually not as bad - but I sadly just cannot get past the coconut scent which for me is just too overpowering. So while I actually liked the end result and how easy it has been to simply swap my usual body moisturiser for this one, sadly the coconut scent means I won’t be repurchasing it!!

Thank you Beauty Heaven and Lady Jayne for sending me the Dermal Therapy Sensitive Skin Lotion to trial. The lotion is an intensive moisturising lotion, to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin, and suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin. I also like that free from sulphates, parabens, artificial colours and fragrances, and it is gentle enough to be suitable for kids aged 2+. I’ve been predominantly using it on my 6 year old, as he always suffers with dry skin. It comes in a pump bottle, which I like, as it makes it easier to use. It has a light subtle scent - appropriate for a little child - and a creamy consistency that takes a few moments to fully absorbs, but once it has, the skin is left soft and without any greasiness. When his skin is really dry, at times he is moisturised twice a day, but have found that once daily is sufficient which is great - kids are not exactly the most patient when it comes to things like that. At $11.99 it is well priced too, so would consider repurchasing.

Thank you Beauty Heaven and Lady Jayne for sending me the Lady Jayne Pro Scalp Brush to trial. The brush comes in an elegant sleek box that makes it look expensive. The actual brush also has an expensive look and feel with a beautiful dark wooden handle, but that said, it is also $49.95, which is at the pricier end, so would also expect this level of quality and feel. The bristles are made of coated metal, which I quite like as it makes them stronger and sturdier than the usual plastic bristles. The brush is easy to use and brushes through my long thick hair easily, even though it currently knots a lot due to badly needing a trim. In spite of the metal bristles, it still feels gentle on the hair. As for the massaging of the scalp, that is something that I don’t usually do, so it is a new part of my routine, but I quite like it. Massaging the scalp is supposed to help creating a healthier scalp, healthier hair and reduce hair breakage - but I have to be honest and admit that I am yet to see any of those results as yet - but I do like how relaxing it feels, especially when I struggle with tension headaches, so will try to remember doing this on a regular basis.
