Thank you BH for allowing me onto this trial. A serum for the hair ? Yes,and it is every bit as essential as the ones we use on our face. Dove is a wonderful brand...time tested and a classic in everyone's bathroom,but i had never seen this before...but i love it.After a summer of salt air,horrific heat and indescribable stress levels,my hair was feeling the "heat" so to speak,and it needed help...which this rich,delicately scented lightweight rich serum textured product provided.I used this every day for a week to kickstart off the repair process,then weekly after that to maintain the repair...and my hair loved it.I found my end a lot less prone to breaking,the flyaways a lot more tamed,and my colour beaming brightly again... with keeping this serum on for about 20 minutes each time.It was rich,but not "weighty" on hair,it slipped into my routine with no effort,and it made wet combing a breeze.Give this a try if your hair needs that extra touch of TLC post summer...at less than $10 for a tube,it is cheaper (and more convenient) than a salon trip.

Dove is pretty much a staple in all households,mainly due to the fact that they are wallet friendly and yet effective...this conditioner was no different.The thick,rich texture of this conditioner was beautiful to use,yet didn't weigh hair down or feel greasy post rinse.The product had a lovely,light,floral scent that lingered yet was unobtrusive,and it left my fine,dry,summer beaten hair a lot more cared for,silky and manageable (even hubby loved it ). I used it every day,and didn't find it leaving my hair weighed down (i have very fine hair),but i did see some improvement from the damage done by sun and salt air exposure...plus it actually helped keep my colour locked in through the hydration this provided.Give it a go if you find your hair has seen better days from summer fun,heat styling or chemical treatments.

Firstly,thank you BH for allowing me onto this trial. A serum conditioner is not exactly something i have thought of before,but now i know and and have used one,i am hooked. Now whilst i may not have so much as seen a beach / pool / outdoor life this summer,my desert dry hair still needs some care from itself regularly to look at least "OK"...and this helped. This 3in1 Serum Conditioner Intensive Repair from Dove promises to "strengthen your hair from within,leave hair recovered, beautiful and resilient"....and it did.It’s nourishing moisturising, "serum" texture means it's lightweight enough to use on even the finest hair,but "conditioner" rich enough for dry, frizzy hair to be eased into submission,and the fresh,slightly floral scent will have you looking forward to using it (even hubby loved it).Try using it a couple of times a week,and see if you notice a difference to your hair...i bet you will,and it is a budget friendly alternative to salon treatments right now. This will now be on regular rotation for me and my family.

The Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner for Damaged Hair is a rich,gorgeously fresh / floral scented conditioner that won't weigh your hair down,but will leave it feeling like silk post wash for days after.I used this every day after the accompanying shampoo,and my hair was left shiny,less tangled,and with a few less flyaways...leaving me a very happy user.Even hubby got into it,and loved how it made his hair feel and smell...so it is great for the entire household (and at under $10 for a huge bottle,it is great in these tough times to get something that works at a budget price). Use:Apply from mid-lengths of hair to ends,leave for a few minutes and rinse,then style as usual.This is a must try for summer hair that needs some care.

I have desert dry hair at the best of times,and whilst i haven't seen a beach or pool this summer,when i do,it means hair becomes straw....and no one wants that.This shampoo from Dove is a rich,thick,moisturising offering that lathers beautifully,yet leaves your hair feeling soft,silky and ready for the Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner.I loved the delicate,clean scent,and the softness i felt post use...even before the conditioner.The bottle was easy to use and manage in the shower,and was big enough to be used by the whole family...a huge plus in today's tough times,and at under $10 for such a huge bottle,you can't go wrong. All in all,this is a wonderfully caring,nourishing,and budget friendly option for those whose hair has seen better days.

An eyecare product is essential for any age....from teens to twilight years,all need the care and moisture an eye skincare product gives,and this offering was a lovely version to receive. The Jojoba Company Transformative Eye Serum is a light,but hard working textured serum (slightly richer than a typical serum) that is based on Jojoba (the closest oil to our own natural sebum....of which our eyes do not receive,that can be applied) and includes various peptides (a skincare "must have" set of ingredients) that promises to "smooth frown lines and crow’s feet,brighten, refresh, smooth and open the eyes,making them appear more rested and reduce the volume of eye bags and dark circles".....HUGE claims,but did it deliver ? Well,i only had around a week of use before reviewing,so i cannot give a longer term results opinion,but that serum (housed in a beautiful,white glass bottle with 15mls of serum,topped with a stunning gold dropper that holds the cooling massage tip....a tiny metal bulb at the end of a pipette which ensures a cool feeling on application,and the ability to help reduce puffiness) felt amazing on the skin....light yet powerful (easily absorbed,not greay at all,and eyemakeup friendly),natural yet science driven active results,that did see my eye area a little less crepey and a lot more hydrated.I used this morning (yep,prior to makeup...after a few moments it absorbed) and night,and woke to a fresher look that made wearing a full face of makeup so much easier to wear and apply (at my more,"mature"age,and wearing eye makeup for work,with some of my fave eye shades / formulations now being harder to apply due to my skin changes,this is important),and found that my powder formula shadows applied that little bit smoother.I also saw an improvement in my skins texture,but will have to use longer to see any of the other claims made by The Jojoba Company coming to fruition. So would i recommend ? At this point,i saw results that were fairly typical of many eyeserums or creams,BUT i did only try this for a very short time.I loved what results i did see,but would have to try for a longer period to determine if i love it over the products i already use...but i do love a few of The Jojoba company products,so i am hopeful this will be the same.

As we leave winter and go into summer,we start to think about what our winter skin is looking like,and if you are like me,it is looking a bit dry,a lot in need of TLC,and screaming for moisture,so to receive the Hemptuary body butter was fantastic. This is one very,very rich balm (which i love for winter for my face and anytime for my bod)....it is an almost solid form that will likely soften in summer with the warmth,but in cooler temps,it needs a spatula to remove it from the beautiful white,gold lidded jar,but when you do obtain an dose of this lovely textured balm,it will be so worth it. With organic hemp seed oil, calendula, manuka oil, beeswax and lanolin,this is a skin saviour that will soothe even the driest,most sensitive of skin,and leave it healthy,soft and soothed (take note of you are naughty and get sunburned anytime this summer),and leave you with a very mild,fresh scent...but how does it feel ? Well,i loved how the richness of this balm left me with silky skin from top to toe (literally.I used it to tame flyaway hair strands,care for my face,envelop my bod and treat my feet) that didn't feel greasy,but did feel very moisturised for a long time after use (it depends on what you like,use already and are used to as to what you think it feels like....if you use very light,fluid textured products that disappear immediately,you may find this a massive upgrade on that,and be a bit apprehensive,BUT,if like me,you are no stranger to a heavier texture that takes time to be absorbed,you will fall in love with it and it's spa like feel.Would i recommend it ? Even if you don't use it on your face,this balm is so multipurpose that you will surely find a use for everyone in the house....from the youngest bub and their nappy area to Nanna and her dry hands and feet,or hubby with his cracked,dry hands or lips,and your faux tan prepped knees and elbows,everyone can utilise this fantastic,soothing balm.

I love a great,straight / sleek look for my hair on days off....it just looks so "done" and i feel like a goddess,but it takes a lot of time,energy and damage to your hair to get it looking like that,so i don't do it as often as i would like (and i don't have the $ to get either of the two i would love to get that would help with all these concerns),so to get to try an offering that may just rival those fabled alternatives,was a dream. The Hydraluxe PRO Straightener is a brilliant,slimline design,with ceramic plates that ensured hair was protected from the heat ( 5 settings up to 230ºC,with the hydracare temperature setting – 170°C option there for a faster salon result that is better for preventing hair damage) were a higher end touch that i loved.Another problem with straighteners is the heatup time,but this had an ultra quick,15 seconds heatup time that meant whilst i was getting my clothes ready for work,it had already heated up...perfect for busy days.It also included a water tank (like an iron),that you fill with water to give a hair some much needed moisture when styling (via a steam that is emitted),and the extra long cord (3 mtrs),meant i could actually reach a mirror to check results,whilst leaving the device plugged in at another area...brilliant).,but what were the finished results like ? Well,i ended up with,after only 15 minutes of use (with most sections of my hair only needing two passes to get results...i hair curly,fine,flyaway tresses),lovely,straight,cared for hair that looked like i had sat in a salon for hours....and the results lasted all day.The slimline plates meant that i could also get some gorgeous,glam curls going if i wanted them (which i will do for my next datenight with hubby),all with the same care for my hair that i received from straightening. So would i recommend this over those exxier models ? YES.The Remington version looked gorgeous (a white,almost pearl toned look),performed well,had inclusions that more expensive offerings have,and gave you control over how quickly you styled for...and at what heat setting,made this a winner for me,and at around $150,it is an option that you won't have explain to your bank about why you spent so much.

This dryer was a huge surprise to get,and i was so very excited to try it out,but i have to say that the excitement was short lived. This is a bit of a dupe for another well known,very exxy dryer that has a lot of technology behind it...and seems to work a treat,but this was very much a lesser version of that dryer.Firstly,yes it does look amazing....rose gold and black,streamlined design,multiple attachments,looooong cord etc,but when I used it for the first time,i noted that the air flow was so weak that my hair took ages to dry (my hair is long,but fine...not very thick,and not down to my waist long anymore),so its like one of those cheap dryers you find in a hotel room. The only positives with this hairdryer are its light weight and it does come with five useful attachments,but that is little help when you want a dryer with some "grunt" to dry your hair during the busy morning rush time (even at the highest speed,the dryer seemed to be struggling to keep up),and even the heat aspect seems to be wanting (not hot enough to dry hair in a timely manner....which is the one job a dryer has to do). I am sorry,but i would not have kept this had i purchased it myself....or if i had paid the nearly $200 ticket price for it,so i suggest that you either try another brand OR save up for that "other" one.

Dermaplaning is something fairly newish to the beauty scene,but an idea that truly had gained ground as a way to have makeup go on smoother,to exfoilate skin AND remove the peach fuzz that we all have (let's be honest here),and this offering is a top choice for all the above. Having never dermaplaned before,i was a little nervous about starting,but the Schick Hydro Silk Touch-Up Razors made it easy and safe to start...they are so easy to hold and use.The set includes 3 disposable razors and a precision cover that is placed over the blade to shorten the blade’s length for precise eyebrow shaping (how's that for multipurpose products ?).With a simple stroke,the fuzz is gone,you have removed the dead skin cells on the skin AND created a perfect base for makeup...with no pain at all. I promise you, your makeup will go on so much smoother (a massive plus),and they also work wonders for touching up your eyebrows (top tip). If you’re new to dermaplaning (IE: ME), i recommend going super slow to avoid nicking yourself,also, hold the skin taut so all of the hair is removed more easily. I also recommend doing it the day after exfoliating or doing a peel (not together).At around $10 for three (one would last me a few weeks with twice weekly use i believe),this is easily the most economical,easy and quick way to de-fuzz / exfoliate / shape brows ever.
