It was with reluctance to test this product as many “Serum’s” are oily or sit on the skin like a plastic sheet then leave marks on bedclothes nightwear and day clothes. How wrong was I. This Midnight Serum is a lovely light nothing Serum and after applying the product to the face and décolleté, it was absorbed into the skin leaving a firm yet feeling so soft and with good hydration with no stickiness or oily feel. The Midnight Serum after using for three weeks, morning and night, had my skin not only looking firmer but looking brighter and feeling softer. Most of the smaller lines have disappeared with the deeper lines appearing to be reduced. When using makeup, the foundation glides on smoothly and the luminous quality from the skin due to using Midnight Serum appears to shine through giving me a bright lifted complexion. The packaging looks luxury while the bottle is quite large with 30mls of products and a dropper to deliver a few drops at a time. The Serum itself seems quite thick yet again it feels like nothing and is absorbed completely into the skin. Using the Serum on the décolleté, I have found a few freckle type spots have faded which is a surprising benefit for me. In conclusion, L’Oreal Midnight Serum is a fantastic inclusion to anyone’s skin care routine.

Munchme Slow Dry-Roasted Nutritious Snack Pistachio Cranberry – after receiving this product, found two nondescript bags of healthy snacks. Opening one of the packs and had a sniff of the product which was pleasant then a taste test. Wow!!! These munchies were so good which is why I referred to the packet as being nondescript. The munchies are bite size, mouth-watering clusters with sesame seeds, peanuts, and cashews pistachios and other bits as well as cranberry. Eating these snacks was a real pleasure as the cranberry added just a hint of tartness which enhanced the flavour of the nuts giving the bite size clusters a complimentary WOW taste which is great for such a small cluster. Getting back to the pack, it is resealable, with all nutritional information and warning that the product includes nuts as well as a notation that the company supports Smiling Minds. For me, the name of the product should be called “My Munchies” as I would not sharing with anyone as they are such a tasty, healthy little mouthful.

Nivea Q10 Power Anti-Age Multi Action Pampering Oil. This product has the same fragrance as the Nivea Q10 Power Replenishing Day Cream which is quite overpowering and is a very fine oil for which very little was needed for my face. This Q10 Pampering Oil is a disappointment as even using one or two drops and massaging into my face, the oil sat on top of the skin like a plastic bag. As this product is a Pampering Oil, I also used it on my legs which are very dry, in the hope of creating more moisture within the skin on my legs however again, the product sat on my skin like a plastic bag. Not liking this claustrophobic feeling on my skin, washed the product off and found my facial skin was quite soft however still quite oily while the skin on my legs was still quite oily with no visible signs of improving the moisture in my legs.

DU’T Foot & Heel Balm is an amazing balm which looks like ointment however is absorbed like cream. Having rough heel and some rough skin beside my big toe and using at bedtime, DU’T balm sank into the skin and was absorbed after a moment or two of rubbing. As the balm sank into the heel quite swiftly, I then rubbed the balm over the entire foot which is a bit of pampering, concentrating on the dry skin beside the big toe. When I had finished massaging my feet, it was quite safe to walk bare footed for a short distance as there was no greasy residue. Of a morning I rubbed the balm into my heels and toe as time was limited, while me feet were quite stable while wearing shoes or sandals. There is a very light pleasant fragrance which is difficult to say is a medical smell or a herbal smell either way the product smells nice. Thinking outside the box and having dry skin on my elbows, the DU’T Foot & Heel Balm was used on my elbows with the dry skin healing after four days of applying the balm three times per day. .

Reef Coconut Sunscreen SPF50 Dry Touch Lotion it was with trepidation that I used this product as those sunscreens already tried, left my skin grease, leaving marks on clothing, which was difficult to remove, car and any other item touched. This Reef Dry Touch Lotion is much better. Firstly, the skin is not left with a greasy film therefore does not transfer to the car, anything I touch and so far doesn’t look like there is any residue on my clothes. The fragrance is very light and quite pleasant while the lotion itself smooths onto the skin evenly without having to use a large amount. The tube is the same size as other sunscreen and it seems that the Reef Dry Touch Lotion will last me longer as not so much sunscreen needs to be used. Being fair skinned, the Reef protected really well, with the skin taking on a soft tan. Finally, a great sunscreen at last.

The Revitalnail Keratin Strengfhening Serum is really easy to use with a pump metering out a small amount. The serum is easily absorbed and after only a few days there is much improvement to the cuticles and the nail itself. This product is used daily, before bed, as part of my going to bed routine, and my nails are shiny, strong and very healthy. For the several months this product has been used, my nails have been bare due to several hospital stays and operations. Using this product regularly has resulted in healthy nails.

The Maybelline lipstick trial, the colours received were: Mauve for Me 373 Ruby for me 385. Using the Mauve lipstick first, the lipstick went on smoothly however the colour was nothing like a mauve it was more of an orange brown and it is a great that suits me. The lipstick wore off after about an hour however my lips appeared stained so a lip gloss could be used and there was still colour. When drinking coffee, there was a faint colour left on the cup and the lipstick was still on the lips. The other colour, Ruby for Me was used next and without lip liner, this lipstick bled into small lines around my lips. In application, the lipstick felt very waxy and had a funny taste. Although stated the lipstick adjusts to skin tone, this appeared not happen, as it made me feel that my lips were entering a room followed by me. When drinking, the lipstick stained the cup and after an hour or so found the lipstick had gathered at the edge of the lips making it look like thick lip liner. Out of two lipsticks Mauve for Me is the better of the two for me as it suits my skin and wears well.

Nivea Cellular Filler Day Cream - this cream has a pleasant fragrance and although it appears a thick cream, when applying, the cream spreads evenly. This is quite good as one does not need to use a lot of cream. After using the cream, the skin is left feeling soft yet firm and the elasticity seems to have returned to my old skin as when I smile the smile lines return to a smooth complexion, which is what I have always wanted. When applying makeup, it goes on smoothly with no bleeding into wrinkles as these have been filled in by the day cream. Also the makeup lasts all day with no visible sign of bleeding into crevices. The fragrance of the cream is pleasant which would not interfere with any perfume a person wears. The down side is no spatula was included with the product however I always have my own. This cream is a really good product

Nivea Cellular Filler Anti Spot Treatment Serum – this product really did what it says it does. After using the serum for the last three weeks, the age spots I have on my face and hands have faded considerable and the skin feels lovely and soft. The packaging is a good size to hold and to take with you for a night away. Also as the nozzle is a metered dose of serum which enables you to determine how much one wants to use. This is an economy feature as some serums distribute more than necessary. The wrinkles which I didn’t want to admit to, have reduced in size quite a lot. The results are a healthy glowing skin which appears to have no wrinkles at all. This product is good for older people however there are some women who have dark spots on the face caused by the contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy.

Nude by Nature Moisture Infused Lip gloss. This product goes on smoothly and has a good colour and a gloss that you don’t feel on your lips and comes with a tilt and a rounded edge on the applicator which is much easier to define the lips and apply the lip gloss. Also the applicator holds enough lip gloss so as it can be applied in one sweep. In using this product I found it to moisturise the lips and it seemed to plump the lips up which assisted my thin lips to appear larger. While wearing the product on it’s own, my lips felt very moisturised and soft and the lip gloss was not sticky or tacky. There is a faint cocoa smell to the lip gloss which I found to be nice and the taste is pleasant while the gloss stays glossy for a several hours. In using the lip gloss over lipstick, I found the colour of the lipstick kept its colour while the lip gloss enhanced the lipstick colour. A good product to have in the makeup bag.
