I was really excited to try the Curls Rock Amplifier Curly Hair Cream as part of the BH trial team. I have curly, often frizzy hair and live in a humid climate. I often find it hard to find a product to tame my hair without making it feel too greasy or crunchy. However, this worked wonders for my hair. The product itself has a lovely fruity fresh scent, and was easy to dispense. I got into a routine of using a small amount on towel-dried hair after the shower. To apply, I put a small amount into my hands and scrunched it through my hair. I didn’t feel like it weighed my hair down and it dried as normal. I did notice a difference in how my curls sat and a reduction in frizz. Overall, I was happy with the result and will continue to use. I also love the bright green container, it really stands out!

I was able to trial this lovely product through the trial team. For a supermarket brand, I was really impressed with the results of the Moisture rich conditioner, using it in conjunction with the matching shampoo. I did have a bit of trouble popping the nozzle up, but other than that was happy with the quality and how my hair looked/felt afterwards. The product was easy to lather and soft to apply. But what I noticed after washing it off, my hair didn’t feel “slimey” like some supermarket conditioner brands that coats the hair. It felt smooth, but not Unnaturally soft. It wasn’t until blow drying afterwards I notice the softness of my hair texture and the beautiful sheen the product had provided. That was something I had not seen before with other brands. I also noticed less frizz than usual, which was a nice surprise. Was very happy with this conditioner and would recommend to others.

I was lucky enough to trial the Moisture Rich Shampoo, along with the matching conditioner. So my results will be based on using both of them together. I generally use salon products for my hair, but was genuinely surprised (in a good way!) about the quality and how it made my hair feel and look. The only thing I found really difficult was popping up the nozzles, there’s no direction on the lid and one of them I just couldn’t get. So I just ended up unscrewing the lid and using it that way. I don’t know if this was just me though and my poor skills! The shampoo lathered on well and smelt devine. These days I am often more mindful of the ingredients in beauty products, so it’s nice to see it did not include any Parabens or alcohols. My hair felt clean and fresh after use and had a lovely sheen. I noticed less frizz and felt that my hair was in general more manageable. For this reason, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the shampoo and conditioner set again and recommend to others.

I was lucky enough to be picked as part of the trial team and was very excited as I have never tried a Bio-oil product before. I have heard a lot of positive reviews from people, particularly advising it had helped prevent stretch marks and minimised scarring. What initially jumped out at me when I got the Bio-oil skincare oil (natural) was the list of ingredients. It is full of beautiful seeds and plant oils, with no nasty chemicals. The product is easy to apply, lightweight and has a nice consistency. The smell is subtle, almost like a faint essential oil smell, which I really liked. I applied it on each day in the evening and definitely felt the difference. My skin had a more moisturised and healthy texture. It made the appearance of my skin a lot nicer and smoother. I look forward to keep being able to apply and observing the difference over a longer period of time. The only thing I would love to see in the future would be the product in a glass bottle (even for a little bit more), as it’s nicer for the environment and better for the product over the longer term.

I was lucky enough to trial the Demaveen Calmexa Bath Soak as part of the trial team, so thank you BH. Whilst I have tried a few bath soaks before, I haven’t tried one that soothes and hydrates sensitive skin. I was pleasantly surprised by this product and will continue using. Firstly, I liked that the product was natural, made in Australia and not tested in animals.. all a big tick. The scent is not overpowering or a synthetic fragrance smell, which I like. The product is easy to use and dissolves quickly in a warm bath..best of all it’s super relaxing! I have used it a few times now and definitely feel like my skin feels smoother and more moisturised! I really liked this product and think it’s a bit of gem for those with sensitive/itchy skin that also need some relaxation at the need of the day!

I was lucky enough to trial the large Marzena wax strips as part of the Beauty Heaven Trial team. I use wax strips quite regularly for the top half of my legs (above the knee), so was keen to give them a go. The Marzena strips feature green coloured wax with a minty fresh scent. The strips themselves are easy to use, grip to the hair well and remove hair fairly painlessly (as far as Waxing how’s anyway!). I found them great on sensitive skin, like my own. I always get little red spots after waxing, but with the Marzena wax strips they do not last long. After using my legs few very silky and smooth. The wax strips leave little-to-no wax residue on the skin however, the box includes a handy set of after wax wipes to help put your mind at ease! I managed to use the strips about 2 times each, but they struggled to be used any more than this. This was the only downside compared to other brands. However I still managed to complete both my legs with about 6 strips or so left over, so I was happy with this. Overall I was pretty impressed by the Marzena large wax strips, for the price and quality I would happily use again!

I was lucky to trial the WaterWipes Sensitive Skin facial wipes as part of the Beauty Heaven trial team. I really enjoy using facial wipes for those days when your make-up is a little more difficult to remove, like a full face of make-up on a night out. I love that the WaterWipes only have 3 ingredients, are suitable for sensitive skin and are vegan. The wipes themselves are slighly ribbed and feel smooth on the skin, being large enough to clean the whole face and neck. They have no smell and feel very light and refreshing on the skin. They actually smell and feel like they are simply wipes with water. The difference with these wipes is that they are actually really effective at removing make-up! Some times the trade off for a good make-up removing wipe is that they feel and smell chemically and slightly oily on the skin, but not WaterWipes! My skin felt so refreshed and clean after using them. They also feel like they lock in moisture rather than drying out your skin. I think it's really important to watch what we are putting on our skin, especially regularly like face wipes. I am actually super impressed with WaterWipes and would definitely purchase them again.

I was lucky enough to trial the Nude by Nature Sheer Glow Colour Balm as part of the Beauty Heaven trial team. I chose the colour #03 Pink. In retrospect, I found this colour did not suit me. I have a fair complexion and the colour is lighter than my lips making me look a little bit washed out. I'm going to still rate the product fairly despite my poor colour choice! I love the gold tube, it looks super sleek and sexy! It's also the perfect size for a small purse. I used the Nude by Nature perfecting primer with the colour balm and found them to be a good duo together. The lip balm glides on the lips super easily and feels very moisturising. The colour on the lips is quite subtle, so for me this balm would be more of an everyday balm rather than for a fancy night out. Alternatively it could be paired with a lipstick to pack in a bit more moisture. I love that Nude by Nature uses an array of natural ingredients like vitamin E, Kakadu plum and sweet almond oil. I always look for more natural prodcucts when choosing make-up products so this a huge plus for me. Overall I do really like this product, I just picked the wrong colour for my skin tone!

I was lucky enough to trial the Nude by Nature Lip Primer as part of the Beauty Heaven trial. Beforehand, I honestly had not even thought of putting a primer on my lips before lipstick, but was very open to give it a try. The Perfecting Lip Primer provides the ultimate base for your lipstick or gloss. The primer looks white in the tube, but was completely sheer on my lips. I think in this way the white tube is suiting, as I see it and I'm reminded to prime first! Applying the primer is the same as a standard twist lipstick. Unusually, this primer when placed on the lips actually doesn't feel wet at all, it feels soft and slightly chalky. It doesn't have much of a smell, but the menthol ingredient gives a slight tingle of the lips, which I liked. The lip primer is not a lip balm and shouldn't be mistaken for this, the product primes your lips for your lip product of choice and enhances its longevity. I paired it with a Nude by Nature Liquid lipstick and found it did help the lipstick to stay on longer. In saying that though, I think a little bit more moisture could help with even more stay power! I was impressed that the primer did help the liquid lipstick have a smoother finish and prevented smudge lines. Overall I was impressed by the Nude by Nature Perfecting Lip Primer and will happily use it alongside my make-up routine. The Nude by Nature brand does not disappoint again with a great product!

I was lucky enough to trial the Nude by Nature Satin Liquid Lipstick as part of the Beauty Heaven trial team. I was really excited to trial this product as I love nude by Nature and find their range to be really good quality. I chose the lipstick colour #06 Wisteria, which is a rich dark pink shade, which I found really accentuated the natural colour of my lips. The bottle is very sleek, with a frosty glass-looking base and gold lid. The lipstick was easy to apply, with a sponge tip applicator. It was also very easy to apply the lipstick within my lip line without any smudging, unlike some other liquid lipsticks. The lipstick also smells delicious, almost like a butterscotch scent and the colour is really pigmented. Some liquid lipsticks can be very drying, however I found the Nude by Nature Satin Lipstick to be very moisturising and plumping to the lips. Even after wearing the lipstick for a few hours my lips still felt moisturised,without feeling sticky. I went to a nice event on the weekend and wore this lipstick and I found it stayed on and looked amazing all night, only having slight touch ups after some food and drinks. The lipstick is a perfect touch to feel a bit more glamorous on a night out. For a person who's not a huge lipstick user generally, I would actually strongly recommend the Nude By Nature Satin Liquid Lipstick and would I would buy again when this bottle runs out, very impressed!!!
