I always have problems with my hair looking quite dull. It’s a mousy brown colour with not a lot of excitement. It’s a little bit flat, a little bit of a orange tinge in the sun so I was quite keen to try Olia as it has some pretty big claims that it nourishes hair while adding a whole lot of shine. It didn’t disappoint. Easy to apply, no drip formula. I’m usually pretty bad with applying hair dye as I usually get blond on my forehead but I was able to forego my usual ‘ritual’ of making a huge mess of myself. Hair dye usually stings my head while I wait to wash it out and I didn’t feel that with Olia either. The thing I liked the most is the after care treatment conditioner. It brought out the best of what Olia has to offer, locking in the rich colour while proving so much moisture and shine. I felt like I had just gone to a fancy salon. Considering I have just performed all of this in my bathroom, it felt very luxurious. I’m a wash my hair daily kind of girl and I’ve been able to prolong my washes to every second day without my hair getting oily. I’m not sure how this has happened but it seems to be an indirect benefit. It’s been a couple of weeks now and the colour hasn’t faded at all. Really nice product. Easy, fuss free and delivers on promises. I just wish they had matching eyebrow products too.

As my title mentions - it's a surprising little gem this concealer! A surprise you ask? Yes! The corresponding foundation HATED my skin and just wouldn't work for me, no matter how hard I tried This concealer came in a beautiful compact metallic tube. It is easily transportable so you could travel with it easily as well as take it with you in your purse The colour I received was a great match. It was light, not yellow-y and covered my sleepy eyed dark circles without having to cake on the product. It lasted all day and didn't flake off due to drying out later in the day. There were a couple of days during my trial of this product where I had long days - I got to work at 7am, finished at 7pm and went to dinner directly after, coming home around 10pm. The concealer hadn't budged anywhere near as much as I expected for such a long day. A real work horse and super easy to blend with whatever other foundation you're using Something I would be keen in repurchasing.

I really wanted to like this product. The packaging was beautiful, the colour matched perfectly however it was just not meant to be I tried applying with my fingers, a foundation brush, a dry sponge and a damp sponge with both with primer, and without primer and unfortunately my results all came out the same. I tried applying it thicker and thinner which didn't particularly make much difference I've never had a foundation pill and ball up on my skin and without a doubt this did every time. It also wouldn't blend properly and accentuated more pores due to the inability to get the foundation to blend on my skin. It's disappointing because the corresponding concealer was a fantastic match and was such a creamy consistency that was easy to blend On a positive note, for those whose skin it does work on, it seems like a gentle formula good for those with sensitive skins as it didn't make my skin red or bumpy like so many foundations do.

Natural looking brow pencils are few and far between especially when you have lighter and very scarce brows to begin with. Brow pencil colours are either far too bold giving you the tattooed effect, far too light making you wonder why you even bothered or way too shiny making you look like you've slipped and applied eye shadow to your brows A pet peeve of mine is sharpening brow pencils and having the very sensitive pencil crumble under repeat sharpening my something blunt and metal. This product already ticks that box as it's a wind up product. It wont go blunt because it's a very fine pencil so I was able to use time and time again while achieving the same results. It was nice being able to use it for many days in a row without the lines getting darker and thicker when the pencil gets blunter and blunter The brown was a touch darker than my natural brows and had a nice matte finish which made my brows look natural even when I attempted to really colour them in and make them thick and luscious. The effect looked more like I tinted my brows and less like I plastered on make up - which is PERFECT for everyday use and not just special events and night times. Hey, some of us girls want to pretend like we have nice brows on the regular!! The formula is quite long lasting, only fading slightly between when I left for work in the morning and when I came home at night. I did make a conscious effort not to rub them so this may have helped I'm really liking the direction Maybelline is heading in the eye makeup department. This eyeliner felt far, far superior to many of the high end products I've attempted to love previously Thanks BH for allowing me to trial this product. It's a product that will be repurchased time and time again.

I love silicone brushes for mascara application as I feel it doesn't stick my lashes together and it distributes the product evenly. This brush is no different and I felt that it was a fantastic brush but maybe the mascara formula wont suit everyone as I'm not sure it suited me very well The amount of product that coats the brush and the lashes is very wet, and very heavy. I am one who has a lot of eyelashes, but they're very short so this product coated my lashes very thickly and made them stick together. Due to the amount and thickness of the product, it took a very long time to dry and smudged if I blinked... Oops. Even after trying to wipe the excess product off the brush I still found it took a fair amount of time to dry - it did however assist in fanning out my lashes a little more and giving them more volume This seems to be a non-irritating formula which is nice and is something Maybelline does well with their products. I wear contact lenses and my eyes get irritated quite easily and I did not find that with this product, or any other Maybelline mascaras. I think if this formula wasn't so thick and dried a little quicker it could easily fall into my 'love' category but until then it will only be in my 'use when I have a lot of time to get ready' drawer. Time and patience is definitely needed when waiting for this product to dry Thanks BH for the opportunity to trial this product.

It is crazy how well this product works, it is right up there at the top and has far outweighed the expensive brands in terms of ease of use, thin tip, product distribution, durability It's not often I can find an eyeliner that I can rave about. It's either too dry, too thick, too clunky, too wet - you name it. So hard to find something that someone as uncoordinated as me can use and make my eyes look good The tip is super fine and distributes the product across my eyelid very evenly and while it feels very wet, it dries very quickly and dries very dark. Some eyeliners fade or show faded spots as the product dries and I did not find that with this one As all girls can appreciate, getting the perfect wing is a PITA (Pain in the... Butt!). The tip of this eyeliner helped me achieve a very fine, sharp tip on first attempt... AND with both eyes. Totally unheard of It's very easy to use this thinly for every day use or boldly for nights out. It can be as light, or as dramatic as you like while keeping the same consistency throughout Extremely impressed. Here I was thinking drugstore brand eyeliners were all duds. I was proven wrong Thanks BH!

If you want fresh, tingly, muddy goodness on your face this is the product for you. This product is really muddy. - as in sticks, random bits and mud with a hefty serving of minty tingle. I haven't used a clay mask for a very long time as I stick with sheet masks. Yes, clay masks are really, really messy but I forgot just how effective they can be when you get a good one. This is a good one. After cleansing my face I applied an even layer to my face. The first time I applied a thin-ish layer and it dried incredibly quick so the second time I applied a far more generous layer and it took around 20-30 minutes to dry. If your skin is easily irritated I would suggest a patch test as this does tingle - a lot. I can only describe this mask as a fresh mint mud mask. It's incredibly invigorating and it's quite refreshing sitting to relax while you wait for the mask to work it's magic. I thought my skin would be quite red when I washed the mask off due to the tingle however it looked and felt really soft and clear. Some clay masks don't seem to clarify and draw out the gunk as well as others but this new kid on the block is definitely a game changer for my masking habits. After using this mask at least 4 times now, I can say the pores on my nose aren't as visible and my skin feels a lot smoother. I wouldn't say this mask dries out my skin either and it really helps my serums and moisturisers absorb in afterwards too. TL:DR: Like a minty tingle and don't mind a bit of mess while you embark on your quest for clear, clean and smooth skin - BUY THIS MASK.

I have always been a suffer of an itchy scalp, dandruff, and flakes. It's hard to find a product that does everything in one. I've always used the standard H&S conditioner with a different brand non-anti dandruff shampoo as I've felt that the non-anti dandruff shampoo stops my hair from being as heavy as it would be if I just used the H&S conditioner, with the H&S shampoo. I've not been overly happy with this routine, as it's not brilliant, but it worked and it made my hair a lot nicer than any previous attempt of using anti dandruff products. Using the standard H&S shampoo and conditioner together seemed to make my hair limp and greasy, although it did mostly deal with the flakes, my hair looked disgusting. I was apprehensive to say the least when I started this trial as I've not had good experience using two anti dandruff hair products in combination but I was hopefully that this new and improved formula might do the trick. I usually rotate my shampoos and conditioners every couple of washes as I find this helps my hair stay shiny and clean rather than limp and greasy. For this trial I just used the H&S every second night for two weeks. As far as anti dandruff goes, it's definitely the best I've used however towards the end of my trial period, I could feel that my hair was starting to feel limp again. This would definitely be a perfect product to rotate with a clarifying shampoo. Something I clearly noticed with this conditioner that stood out above the standard H&S conditioner and even other conditioners is how moisturising it is without being heavy. It seems to smooth my hair, and ends without being so heavy and leaving my hair with no body. My hair is definitely more nourished than ever before which is such a strange feeling as it's either greasy and limp, or dry like straw. My scalp does not feel itchy anymore which is such a relief, I have no flakes and the scabs on my scalp from the itchiness are almost non-existent. This is something I hope to continue and maintain as I've not had such a fuss free scalp in a long time - for as long as I can remember. Even the standard H&S conditioner could not afford me this kind of relief.

I wanted to love this product as I love primers and how different primers can give my skin a different glow and can totally affect how my foundation looks for the rest of the day. Ultimately I use primers to make my skin look soft, flawless and most importantly PORELESS. I first tried this primer on my arm and it soaked in and felt quite nice (kind of like having moisturized my arm) so I had a little glimmer of hope that I had found another primer to love. When I tried it on my face it seemed to enter my pores and stretch them as large as they could be stretched until the resembled volcanic craters. The primer didn't seem to really dry totally and remained tacky to the touch. When I soldiered on and used the corresponding Covergirl foundation I found that it was almost impossible to blend and get a smooth finish. As the primer had already magnified my pores x1000 the corresponding Covergirl foundation settled into my pores like pools and wouldn't blend properly so I was left with smears of foundation and really uneven skin. I thought that perhaps this combo didn't gel well with each other so I tried this primer with my go-to foundations and bumped into the same issues - Large, angry pores and a tacky, uneven face. I was disappointed that this product didn't work well for me. I have normal/dry skin that can sometimes get a little shiny in my T-zone and I have pores in my T-zone too. I thought this primer would have been great for my skin as it may have provided extra moisture but unfortunately it did the complete opposite to what I was hoping. I have not used Covergirl products before and this was not a good introduction. Fortunately the corresponding Covergirl foundation performed a little better with my usual primers.
