I received this scrub along with the matching cleanser to trial. While I loved the cleanser, sadly this didn't work as well for my skin in the long run. The packaging is classic St. Ives style, as is the value for the amount of product you get, plus the smell was the same sweet green applish scent as the cleanser, so I did really want to love it To start, the formula is thick and cream like and when used, you can really feel the scrubbing action, but it's not in anyway too harsh. For the first few uses my skin felt smooth and refreshed, as it should with any good scrub, so I was more then happy to be using it. The main problem I ran in to was that after each use I got tiny, tiny pimple like bumps around the same area each time and they hung around most of the day – a big no, no! I first thought maybe my skin was adjusting to the two new products but I found that once I discontinued use of the scrub for a day or two and just used the cleanser, my skin was fine and totally normal. I tried it again and within half an hour like clockwork the tiny bumps returned I was so disapointed 'cause the cleanser worked so well and this did too really, minus that one (sort of big) issue it caused. Have to note, I got my mum and cousin to try it, they had no issues, so it was just something my skin decided it didn't like. As far as anything you could really want in a scrub this did it all pretty well, just a shame it didn't work out!

I'm a fan of quite a few Maybelline products, they're good quality for the price always...but unfortunately this didn't impress. I got a sample of this in the lightest shade available 'Porcelain Ivory', that would last a few goes so I got a good chance to test it out The first thing I noticed was the fact the founation wasn't anywhere near as thick as I expected, I usually associate long wear foundations with thick formulas. This atleast gives it a good amount of blendability. For reference, my skin colour is around NC15 and at first the colour seemed fine, but within 5 minutes it seemed to have developed a darker, more yellow tinge. It wasn't alarmingly noticeable but it didn't give me much hope that it would get any better as the day wore on. The main problem I had with this foundation was that it looked like foundation on my skin, not so much cakey but just that look that anyone within a couple of feet or so could see that your wearing it. It never really applied seamlessly or "melted naturally" in to my skin. I tried it with a brush and hands but it stayed the same. I really like my foundation to look as natural as possible, so this was a shame to me Coverage with this was light, buildable to medium. It even out my overall skintone but didn't fully cover pigmentation marks but it was still reasonable coverage. The lasting power, which is the main selling point, did impress though. It lasted through a whole day only really needing touch ups around the sides of my oily nose once This foundation did basically keep its promise lasting-power wise but for me, failed to tick any other box. I will say over the few days I used it, it didn't at all irritate my skin at all! I'm sure for many others this is perfect, but I couldn't get it to work for me so purchase.

I remember seeing the Palmer's Skincare line when it first came out, I love love love the smell and feel of all their body products but couldn't imagine using them on my face at all. I ended up getting a small bottle of the scrub in a freebie bag from my chemist Off the top of my head I can't tell you the product sizing seeing as I have a sample bottle but I can definetly vouch for whats in the bottle. Going out on a limb, Palmers generally have excellent value. The scrub itself seemed pretty thick yet I didn't see or feel a whole lot of exfolliating beads in comparision to other scrubs. Once applied to my face though, I was happy to feel that it did seem to have something in there to scrub everything away - must be very tiny beads! What I liked was the fact I could literally see it clearing my pores out aswell, which only one other scrub has done. Blackheads and blocked pores were easily worn down but this and it really did feel like it had renewed my skin. The scrub could be a bit scratchy-feeling though, as if some of the tiny beads were sharp, so being gentle was important. Afterwards, my skin felt so smooth! I exfolliate every other day religously but I could really notice a big difference to all the other days. So overall my first Palmers Skincare product was a nice suprise, easily stands up next to scrubs that cost a lot more. I still have a few uses in the bottle and it is in no way a product I would overlook next time.

I grabbed this little mask about a month ago along with my usual QV night cream about a month ago. I love QV for the gentle products but as far as the deep cleaning action my skin needs, I didn't really think the mask was going to achieve much to be honest. I was wrong - yay! The packaging is a simple squeeze bottle and you get several applications from it, so it's real value for money. The formula is like a light whipped mousse sort of texture and very cream-like, which was a change from my usual thick, gluggy mask When applied, it doesn't take much product at all to cover my whole face and part of neck. The first thing I noticed was the fact it felt light, like I said before there was no heavy "drying concrete" feel at all, even when it's basically dry. So you wait the usual 10-15 minutes and rinse. Now I'm acustom to my face feeling like its begging for any source of moisture after a mask but suprisingly my face felt smooth and soft. It did feel like it cleaned my skin out really well, but it replenished the moisture as it did so! I've put this down to the fact QV use Safflower Oil in majority of their products, which from experience moisturises my skin reaaaallly well! I won't go on about how its a holy grail mask for me, but it is so much better then the harsher ones I was using. It's going to be a staple until I find something a tiny bit more effective on the cleaning/pore clearing side of things BUT that also leaves my skin soft and hydrated afterwards.

I have combination skin, my cheeks are so so dry but my tzone is usually a bit oilier. Its a struggle to find something that puts the moisture in that most of my face desperately need without causing havoc on the rest of my face. I was really worried when I first started using this as it was such a thick cream but when applied it soaks in fast and leaves my skin silky. Doesnt cause any extra oil on my tzone either. I use some pretty harsh products for pimples so my skin needs to have something that will soak in and do some real good for it and this delivers in that respect, my skin is never ever dry and I wake up with soft, supple skin. Oh, plus no breakouts from it!! I have been through so many creams and always over looked QV for some reason, regret not trying this sooner, could of saved alot of $$$ and worry over breakouts from products that didnt work for me.

I usually use a MAC foundation brush but this is just as good in my eyes. The bristles are so soft and durable, I wash it basically everytime i use it and NO bristles have come out, gone spikey or spilt. Looks and feels like it did the day i bought it. Never streaks and blends foundation really well. What a bargain.

I grabbed this at priceline last night, because my old one has had its day and this one only $2! bargain! Its really nice for shower gels, no too harsh on the skin and feels really durable and strong.

I got this in blue/black to tint my eyelashes for the first time. First off, its so easy and the formula isnt runny nor does it drip so its easy to avoid getting any in your eyes. The colour is a glossy, deep black (no hint of blue in any light) and im happy i chose that as i have seen natural black and it isnt as deep and noticeable. It made my light-medium brown lashes so much more noticable and while i still apply masacra (tint is never gonna give you volume and length :( ) i only really brush it past the tips to lift them and make them a bit longer for day time. So im using less mascara which means less to get off my eyes at at night, plus when i do go sans makeup i feel much better about my eyes.

I went through a massive phase with Bourjois. I tried nearly all the foundations, liners and mascaras. This was my favourite foundation, got it in Vanille Clair (the lightest). Its super blendable and looks really natural. It didnt cake around my dry spots or make oily ones worse. Id say it had a semi-matte finish on me but in a very natural way. Coverage was light but buildable if you need it to be, covered a few small pimples without any hassles and the redness around my nose, I had to touch up after about 3 hours but only slightly. Only reason I didnt buy again was because even though I used the lightest shade it was slightly, just slightly too pinkish for me and by the time winter came around I really couldnt get away with it anymore.

Compared to some other gradual tanners this is good, but it got a little too dark on me too fast so i used it every second day and my normal moisturiser inbetween. Lasts well and doesnt go patchy or anything
