I am completely hopeless with false lashes, but these Glam Ready pre-glued lashes are a great time saver...especially for beginners like me. They have a sort of cushioned band bit that makes them easy and comfortable to wear, and while I did find the band a little thick, it was easy enough to add a bit of eyeliner to hide it. They were lightweight, easy to apply, and I didn’t have to worry about messing around with glue. I didn’t experience any irritation, and they were super easy to remove at the end of the night.

I am always on the hunt for a new serum to love and this one was fabulous. I had not heard of the Skin Physics brand before so I was curious to give them a go. It has some fancy sounding ingredients like WrinFix-Px, hyaluronic acid, and soluble collagen. While I can't yet see a difference in fine lines as promised, my skin is definitely looking and feeling more soft and hydrated. It is a light texture and soaks in well and I had no problems layering with other products. I have quite sensitive skin and this has caused no issues or redness.

I've really been loving trialling the Manicare RapidDry Hair Turban. I had another brand that I loved but its WAY more expensive so I was keen to see how this one would stand up. Spoiler: its just as good. The hair turban is made of microfibre so it is super absorbent and helps to dry my hair faster, and more gently, then a regular towel. It also dries out much faster, ready to go again. Its easy to use - twist your hair into it and secure it with the button. It definitely speeds up drying time, meaning less time under the dryer for me.

I was lucky enough to receive the Lady Jayne GemTip Rainbow Brush to test. I have naturally curly hair that I straighten, so generally prefer to use a comb over a brush to avoid frizz. But this has been a game changer. It works really well on both wet and dry hair and I found it worked out all my knots gently and without pulling. It feels sturdy and well made and the vents make it super handy to use with a blow dryer also. The rainbow tips obviously don't add any value, but they are very cute. Its fabulous at creating a sleek smooth ponytail too. A great every day brush.

The Color & Soin organic hair mask is ideal for coloured and damaged hair. My poor hair puts up with a lot so I do try to give back when I can. I found it really nourishing and it left my hair soft, manageable, and shinier. The formula apparently helps maintain colour vibrancy and reduces breakage, thanks to ingredients like pomegranate and hibiscus. I would need to use it a little longer to confirm that for sure, but it definitely didn't fade my colour. The texture is rich but not heavy, making it easy to apply and rinse. A solid choice for anyone looking for a natural option.

I received the Mavala Lip Shine Lipstick to test...and I should say straight up that I received #308 Golden Gate, which is a gorgeous bright red and not at all my colour. But I'll leave that aside for the purposes of my review. The packaging is gorgeous, shiny silver, heavy and feels quality. I found the colour to be vibrant and long lasting and surprisingly creamy. The high shine finish is gorgeous. My lips can get quite dry with the wrong lipstick, but I found this quite hydrating, it was smooth to apply, felt light on and didn't dry out my lips. All in all, while the colour wasn't for me, this is a great lipstick, and I will absolutely pick one up in another shade.

I was on the trial team for the Avene DermAbsolu Reshaping day cream. PROS It has a light delicate scent that fades quickly. The cream itself is lightweight and soaks in well, leaving the skin supple and reasonably hydrated. It plays well with other products, both over serums and under sunscreen and makeup with no pilling. No irritation on my sensitive and rosacea-prone skin CONS I'm not a fan of jars as they leave the product exposed to too much air and there is a bit of a hygiene concern with sticking your fingers straight in. Not as hydrating as other day creams. After daily use, I have not noticed any change in relation to firmness or smoothing.

I was part of the trial team for the Avenue Intensive Reshaping night cream. PROS I love the hygienic, container with easy-to-use pump (though I did find I needed quite a few pumps each use) and it was very gentle on my sensitive and rosacea-prone skin with no stinging. It soaked in quickly and initially left my skin feeling supple and hydrated. CONS The scent is quite strong and while I found it faded quickly, it might put a few people off. More importantly, I actually didn't find it very hydrating, and it actually ended up being surprisingly drying for a night cream - I often woke up with dry and flaky patches of skin, particularly around my nose and mouth. I've been using it daily for several weeks and have noticed no change in relation to firmness or shaping.

I picked this up from Chemist Warehouse in the 50% off sale. It comes in a little pouch with a USB charger and needs a 3 hour charge before the first use. I will say, I wouldn't attempt to style my hair using only this brush - it is a little slow going and I doubt you would get through your whole head on this battery. However, this is definitely a convenient size for the handbag and good for fixing up frizz and fuzz (thank you Sydney humidity). Especially good if you can pick it up half price.

I have been using the Fresh Greens Blend shampoo and conditioner for the last month as part of the trial team. I have fine, limp hair with dry ends and oilier roots. I love the packaging of these products - the fresh, green packaging matches the contents perfectly and looks great in my shower. Like most Aveeno products, oat is a major ingredient of this conditioner along with rosemary, peppermint and cucumber...meaning it smells delicious! Fresh and light. This is a thick and creamy conditioner that applied easily and my hair felt well coated. I comb it through the mid lengths and ends and leave it on for 3-4 minutes. It rinsed out well, leaving my hair feeling soft but not greasy. While I do feel that the combination of the shampoo and conditioner gave my limp hair more body, I think it may have come at the expense of shine. I'm not sure that the conditioner is enough for my dry ends. I do recommend this as a good, affordable option to have on hand, but I think there might also be better options out there.
