Lancôme teint idole ultra wear Having never used a Lancôme foundation before I was excited to get to trial this product and see if it lived up to Lancôme’s amazing reputation and I wasn’t let down. Lancôme teint idole fits what I’m looking for in a foundation with SPF 15 and 24 hr wear formula The packaging was exceptional with the high end silver box and 30Ml glass pump bottle that was smooth to use and dispensing as little or as much needed. The foundation was super smooth and only lightly fragranced. It applied evenly with either a sponge, brush or my finger tips I’m a hairdresser and I really put my foundation though a lot it has to last me a 10hr day with heat from styling appliances and humidity and then still make it through school pick ups and after work activities. Even on days when I was sweating buckets and it felt like my foundation should be sliding off, it stayed put with no touch ups needed. I found it gave me great coverage and easily lasted me a 10-12 hr day with little to no wear off, whilst still leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated and it felt like I wasn’t wearing any at all. When it came to removing it at the end of a long sweaty day, it washed off easily easily leaving no trace and my skin felt soft and smooth. I absolutely loved the way it made my skin look and feel. It’s a big thumbs up from me and I’ll 100% be purchasing more when it’s time!

Now that I'm getting a bit older I need all the help I can to reduce the aging process and hold it off a bit longer, so I'm always happy to get an invitation for an anti aging trial from Loreal. The new formula for Revitalift day cream anti wrinkle and extra firming cream specifically targets the 40 - 50 yr age group as the skins elasticity reduces after the age of 40 and facial skin becomes less firm and causes our wrinkles to deeepen. Containing pro-retinol A which is an anti aging ingredient that targets wrinkles at their core, and Fibrelastyl which is a firming complex that enhances the skin tone to firm the skin. Revitalift claims that it will make the skin firmer and reduce wrinkles in as little as 1 - 4 weeks. When the product arrived it came with a nifty little card called a wrinkle reader which had 10 small photos of under eye wrinkles on it so you can match up your stage and track your 14 day progress. I would put my personal wrinkles at stage 1 according to this chart which is the least advanced, and after 14 days of using it in the morning, 8 cant say that I see any noticable difference, though it would be nice for them to have magiclally up and dissapeared in just one week. I do think though that 14 days isnt really long enough to judge so I will continue to use it and see how it goes over a longer period of time. The product itself comes packaged very much like all the other Loreal day creams I have tried in the past, in a square pot with inner seal that you can either leave in or remove, its rich creamy consistancy is easy to use. Simply apply in the mornings and small circular motion after cleansing. Despite being quite a thick rich cream it absorbs into my skin easily and has no greasy or oily resdiue so my foundation applyies nicely on top and stays put even after a 12 hr day. I'll definately keep using it and see how it works over the long term.

This trial couldn't have come at a better time for me, with the weather warming up and my desire to have flawless brown legs derailed by an allergy that leaves me scratching my skin on my legs making it impossible to apply fake tan without ending up with ugly white scratch marks on my legs. Sally ha send airbrush legs smooth on cream based makeup for legs is a temporary body makeup for legs, that once applied stays put until you wash it off with soap and water. I really put it through its paces with almost 40 degree temps, sweating and even jumped in the pool, it really stays put and doesn't transfer to clothing once set. I applied Airbrush legs to dry clean legs in the morning without moisturising by squeezing about a 20 c piece into one hand then rubbing it onto my legs so that I had an even coverage. Then allowing a few minutes for it to dry before getting dressed so that there was no transfer to my clothing. The finish was a beautiful golden brown tanned effect that really did look flawless and airbrushed with the added benefit of disguising cellulite and making my legs look slimmer as well, leaving a soft floral scent that is pretty and fresh smelling I loved airbrush legs and will absolutely by purchasing it in the future keeping a bottle for quick tan touch ups and those times when you have a last minute thing on and need to feel more tanned.

As I'm getting older I'm finding it more and more important to find products that not only moisturise my skin but plump, fill wrinkles and slow the aging process down. Loreal's revitalift laser x3 Powerful amti aging moisturiser designed to correct wrinkles, plump and fill the skin contours, it works by utilising 3 anti aging actions, correcting wrinkles with fragmented Hyaluronic acid that pentrtates the skin fast to repair and correct the look of wrinkles. Re-densifies the skinby strengthening the support fibres of the skin with Pro-Xylane And Re-supports tye skins contours by using concentrated Pro-xylane 3% to stimulate the production of the skins natural components to plump from within. The product itself comes in a solid and attractive deep red glass pot with 50ml of cream and a screw top lid with inner seal, the main problem with this is that considering it has a lot of a tive ingredients I wonder how sanitary it is to be consistsntly opening it and exposing it to the air amd dipping your finger in. It pretty much has the same florally chemical smell that most Loreals products have, which though on the stroger side doesn't linger after application. I used it daily after cleansing, and only needed a small dab to cover my whole face, staying clear of the eye area. I found it absorbed in fast and left no greasiness, makeup aplied well over the top and stayed on all day. Has it done all it claims to do??? I find trials a bit short to make a real judgement call on weather my wrinkles are reduced but my skin feels lovely and soft and moisturised.... My hubby has made comments that I'm looking younger which makes me feel great!

Super shiny perfectly manicured nails are a thing of my dreams, my hands on a daily basis are weak and short and in and out of the water which as you can imagine means that polish doesn't last long. In fact even a great polish will last 3 days max for me before chipping off and wearing around the edges. The Top coat goes on thick and dries quick. It has a unique Vinyl & Gel Tech formula which combine with nail color to create multi-dimensional shine & volume. Transforming your regular shine into spectacularly gel-like brilliance without the use of a uv light. You simply apply one coat over your chosen nail polish colour and either allow it to dry or use express dry drops. I love super glossy shiny nail colour and 3d gel shine topcoat certainly delivers just that, the shine of uv polishes without the uv light, unfortunately it doesn't make my polish last better or longer than normal, but for me even getting 2 days out of polish is pretty good. I love the shine of the 3D topcoat but just wish it would extend the life of my nail poish for another day or 2.

Having used very few Dr Lewinns products in the past, I find that it's one of those brands that I am constantly curious about, so I was really excited to get an invitation to the Eternal youth Trial team. Eternal youth is a fast absorbing cream that contains Juvefoxo, which is a powerful hexapeptide that is designed to rejuvenate the skin by 10 yrs, protect the skin from damage and help cells repair. It also contains Diamond and Black Pearl extracts, vitamin A and PatchH20 for intense moisturisation that lasts 48hrs. Eternal youth didn't dissapoint, it arrived in a stunning package that mirrors the ingredients of Diamond and Black pearl with a diamond shaped faceted lid, and black base. The pot has a standard screw on lid with inner seal. The creme is a thick fast absorbing product that leaves a slight oilyness on my face, meaning that when using some foundations they did feel a bit greasy after a full day on the go, but once I hit on the right combo of eternal youth, primer, and foundation then it worked beautifully. I used it twice daily, morning and night after cleansing, a tiny bit does go a long way and it ansorbs well leaving a fresh pleasant scent. Eternal youth made my skin feel soft, supple, smooth and lovely and hydrated. Do I feel like I look 10 yrs younger? Not really but my skin does feel amazing and fresh since using eternal youth, and any product that is multi purpose enough to use day and night is great.

I have a love hate relationship with nail polish, I LOVE beautiful manicured polished nails, but have the dodgiest nails that polish just seems to hate. I can use cheap or expensive polish, base coat, top coat and nothing works! My nails can chip within 24 hrs, even overnight and 2 days is usually the max I can go without polish chipping off. I'm not rough on my nails, just the usual stuff around the home so it drives me utterly crazy. Enter Revlons colourstay gel envy polishes.... I'm hooked! The polish comes in a range of finishes, everything from solid brights to shimmery glittery hues. The names are all gambling related with names like Ace of spades, dealers choice, royal flush etc. They are a hybrid gel polish that requires no base coat, just apply 2 coats of polish wait a few minutes then add the top coat, no need for UV lamps. They dry super fast (within 5 minutes). Meaning even the biggest nail klutz.. Ahem looking at myself here, can manage to do their nails without mucking them up afterwards! The top coat adds a fabulous high shine that I adore and I find I am easily getting 4 days of wear out of them before they start to chip, with the shimmery shades going about 3 days. Major acheivement! I'm in freaking love with both the colours, the finish and the lasting power of these, so much so that I'm considering retiring my old polishes to a basket for my babygirl to use! Revlon has hit a big home run for me with Gel Envy polish. :)

My hair grows super fast and because of the greys needs to have the roots done every 3 weeks, as a result over the trial period I've actually used the Olia hair colour around 5 or 6 times. Shade 6.60 is a vibrant shiny red that covers my grey completely whilst maintaining a vibrant bright red shade, it has a light floral scent that is very pleasant and not at all chemical(ish) like most other hair colours. The ammonia free oil based formula still hasn't caused any irritation or stinging to my scalp. I apply it to my regrowth then leave it 20 - 25 mins and either add a touch of water to the ends then rub it through and leave it a further 5 mins, or use a semi permanat colour on the ends depending on how vibrant I want the colour, then rinse it off and shampoo lightly once and follow up with the aftercare conditioner that is absolutly amazing leaving my hair so soft and silky. Having only short hair I find that the after colour conditioner actually lasts me a good 3 weeks if I put it in the shower after I've finished using my tube of colour. I've had to stop using applicator bottle because I find it to bulky and fiddly to use and I like to be very precise with my hair colour application and early on went back to using a tint bowl and brush instead I've loved trialing Olia colour and would absolutly say that it's one of the best supermarket hair colours I've used, it has left my hair soft, silky and shiny with an even grey coverage and vibrant red result.

The scent is lovely and florally and not at all overpowering or an offensive chemical odour. The ammonia free formula still hasn't caused any irritation to my scalp. The result is a gorgeous bright even red with superior grey coverage that means no-one needs to know about my greys!

I recently accepted the BH trial for the Garnier Olia haircolour and was pleasantly surprised to see they were actually offering the exact same colour shade 6.60 that I had been eyeing off for months, What I was not expecting was the MASSIVE package of 6 boxes of colour that landed on my doorstep a few weeks later. I have short hair and if I use the products carefully I can potentially get 2applications from each box, as a hairdresser of 20 yrs experience my first instinct is to open hair dyes and squueze them into a bowl and measure it out properly and then apply the colour to my regrowth using a tint brush. For the purpose of the trial and testing the products properly I decided to go with the included instructions which were fairly simple and easy to follow. The box has a nifty push in section on the back that you insert your applicator bottle into so that it doesn't tip over and spill, take the lid off, and squeeze in the colour tube, then you simply pop the applicator lid back on and give it a few shakes until you can see that all the product has mixed well. To me and my hairdressing tendancies, sectioning is key to getting a good even result and it was a breeze to use the applicator to colour the short... Very short, sides and back of my hair, however I felt it was a little bulky and not the easiest manouver at the front where my hair was longer. I ended up running a thin strip of colour down each section of regrowth and massaging it in with my fingertips, all good 7 minutes and the application process was done. I then waited the reccommended 20 mins added a touch of water to my hair ends and massaged the remainder of colour through to the ends and waited a further 10 mins. After rinsing and shampooing the colour out I applied the treatment conditioner that was included in the box of colour, and O.M.G. This was seriously one of the best conditioners I have used in a very long time! Fortunatly with my short hair the tube of this will last a good 7-10 washes which means super soft shiny hair for quite some time :) YAY The colour result was pretty good, it's not quite as bright as I normally like but as a trade off it has covered the masses of grey.... Cough, cough, sorry beige hair that is multiplying fast at the top of my head. It even managed to 100% cover the super white.... :( patch in the middle of my head at the top. I'd presonally prefer not to be using permanant colour on the midlengths and ends of my hair on a regular basis, so will go back to using my high impact semis on those areas, but as a bright haircolour that I can confidently use to cover my ..... Beige... Hair it is great, only downside is I guess I'm staying a redhead for a good 6 - 8 months!
