I was part of the Trial Team for the Toni & Guy trinity of Blonde hair products; the shampoo, the conditioner and this - the Purple Toning Mask. I did the trial seperately. On alternate days I did the Shampoo with the Conditioner, then the next wash day I did the Shampoo with the Purple Toning Mask. The days I used this were easily better. I applied this after rinsing out the Purple Shampoo, combed through then used a shower cap to intensify the results of the mask. I left it on for around 20minutes then rinsed. This is a lovely, hydrating mask that is perfect for giving your hair a bit of love, or to help hair that has been put through the ringer and needs some hydration. I didn't really notice any significant neutralisation of yellow tones but I'd still highly recommend this as a finishing product for anyone with blonde hair.

I was part of the Trial Team for this, thanks BH. I applied this directly after rinsing out the Purple shampoo in the same range. I squeezed out most of the water from my hair and applied the conditioner before distributing evenly with a wide tooth comb. A lot of purple hair products have strong, almost unpleasant smells but this is really nice and it has an upmarket scent. It's not heavy just light and lovely. The conditioner isn't super-heavy but it is very nourishing. I My hair is a little rough from dyeing it but I found it more manageable after using this. This conditioner is great for everyday use, if you need something heavier it's better to use the accompanying purple mask as your conditioner. Having said that, this is a great range and it's handy to have a quality blonde product available to grab while you do the rest of your supermarket shop. It's the finishing toner to neutralise yellows. Definitely this is a two-part event. You really need either this conditioner or the mask to complete the application, depending on what outcome you're trying to achieve; additional toning or added hydration. Highly recommend for anyone with blonde hair or highlights.

The opportunity to take part in the Trial Team came at a good time. My mum passed just after I received the parcel and as many of us are prone to do after an emotional upheaval I made the decision to dye my hair. Big mistake. I colour removed and was left with a pale yellow mess. Rather than go straight in for a permanent toner I decided to try the Toni & Guy Shampoo first. Because I needed a stronger effect than just the usual application I applied it to dry hair and combed it through. I left it for 15 minutes, checking it every 5. When the time was finished I added some water and worked it to a lather, then rinsed it out. The resulting colour was pretty great for a purple shampoo. it had toned the pale yellow down to a light ashy colour that is lovely. Since then I've just used it for regular upkeep and followed the directions for a normal application. So far it's kept the tone perfectly.

I was part of the Harmony My Beauty Marine Collagen trial team (thanks Bh team!) This couldn't have come at a better time for me. Last year I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and as part of the side effects of my medication, my hair and skin have become less supple, less vibrant and in general less healthy looking than they were before. As a skin care aficionado this was pretty devastating. So to get to trial something that may help was pretty exciting. The collagen comes in packaging that looks more like a skin care cream than powdered collagen. It wouldn't look out of place with the rest of your beauty products. It's very easy to take as it's flavourless and can be added to any drink, even hot drinks such as coffee and tea which is how I take it in the morning. Even after only a week I can see a difference in my skin. It's subtle given the short amount of time for the trial but it's definitely there. My skin looks a bit more radiant and feels more resilient. I'll be very interested to see the results in a month as I think they will only improve.

I was part of the Trial Team for the trio of new Nude by Nature products which included the Nude by Nature Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation and a foundation brush. I didn't have much luck with the other two products but I really liked the concealer. It comes in a tube which is good for hygiene and I had no trouble getting just the right amount out of it for application. It's not a thin consistency but not too dry either. It sits somewhere in the middle, and on application can be a little tacky but dried fairly quickly. I'm 48, and this didn't sink into my fine lines or go crepe-y which was good news as this can be an issue with a lot of concealers. It covered up my dark circles very well, and it had very good staying power. My one tip would be that you don't need very much. Start with a tiny bit and gently pat it on with your ring finger. A little goes a long way, making it good value as well.

I was part of the trial team for the trio of Nude by Nature products and used this with the Nude by Nature Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation. The bristles were quite firm and I found a little sparse on not dense enough for a foundation brush. I kept trying different applications with the brush each day but it still ended up streaky and had to be blended with my fingers each time. The bristles really need to be much softer to allow proper application and blending of the foundation, and there needs to be more of them, the brush seemed too "flat"to me as well. I can't use it for other products because it's inbetween - not quite right for any other product. They do have other brushes in the range that are REALLY GOOD. I was part of a trial for a Nude by Nature brush kit and all the brushes were fantastic. This one just missed the mark which is unfortunate.

I was fortunate enough to be part of this trial (thanks BH) for Clinique Smart Clinical™ MD Multi-Dimensional Age Transformer Duo. The duo of creams come in the standard Clinique cream tub with the silver top, with a purple wrap. Inside the jar is split into two sections: - White cream (the tightening and lifting cream for jaw, neck and decollete) and the, - Purple cream (for volumizing/plumping laugh lines, under eyes and forehead) The white cream is very light - with a consistency halfway between cream and gel. A little goes a long way and you don't need to spread it too hard - which is great for the thinner skin of the neck and decolletage. The purple cream is much thicker, and again you don't need to use too much as it spreads quite readily. The directions are to use both creams twice a day which I did after cleansing and toning. I have quite high cheekbones already but I did notice that the volumizer DID plump out the skin around both my cheeks and also my laugh lines. It didn't remove my lines but it did soften them. I'm 48 and have started to notice a little crepey-ness around my neck area. When I used the Resculpt cream , around day 4 there was a definite toning that happened to my jaw, neck and decollete. I'm certain with longer use that I would have seen even more significant change. It's really a lovely product to use. It goes well under makeup and gives skin a lovely finish. My only concern would be that there needs to be a more hygienic delivery system, either via a pump or colour-coded spatula's for each product. Other than that, this is a great addition to Clinique's range.

Thanks for allowing me to participate in the Trial Team, BH. As with the Night Cream in this line, the Day Cream comes in a tub. For hygeine it would be of benefit for this product to come with a spatula to lessen contamination and extend the life of the product. That said, I really like this product. I applied it after my Dr.Jart's Moisturing Toner and found it went really well with that product. It's quite rich so probably is best for older skin or in a younger demographic that leans towards dryness. It absorbs well into the skin and I had no problem with it under my makeup. I did notice a bit of brightening and toning of my skin after application, probably due to the Vitamin C in the cream, so that was a definite bonus. I was a bit concerned with the Shea Butter as my hair doesn't like it, but my skin was fine with it. Overall, a nice, brightening day cream.

I was part of the Trial Team for this product by A'Kin (thanks be to BH). At 48, I love a good night cream, so I was really excited to try this product and wanted to like it. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. It goes on well and is a rich, thick emolient which is always nice. It's scented but not heavily. I used it at night as the last step of my cleansing program before bed. As I said it goes on well, but there's very little to differentiate it from other's of it's kind on the market, and at the price point there really needs to be. The bonus is, is that it's an Australian brand that focuses on natural ingredients. But is that enough to make me buy this product? After trialling it, I would have to say no, unfortunately. My mine gripes are that the tub didn't come with a spatula, and that in the morning I could still feel a film on my face, that when washing in the shower actually felt a bit slimy. While I appreciate that it's a fairly rich cream, but I prefer one that really sinks in to my skin overnight.

I was lucky enough to be part of the Trial Team for this range of products (thanks BH). The eye cream comes in a 15ml tube which is great, and hygienic to use. A little of the product goes a long way. I used a very small amount then patted it gently around my eye area. You can feel the firming pretty much straight away. It goes on easily and has a very faint scent. I used this both for normal days when I wear minimal makeup and also before applying makeup for a night out - on both occasions it worked very well under my makeup application without balling or causing drag. I didn't notice any permanent firming of the area over the course of the trial, but it's a decent hydrating eye cream that gives a temporary lift on application and over the course of a day.
