AVÈNE TOLERANCE CONTROL EXTREMELY GENTLE CLEANSER I was lucky enough to be chosen by Beautyheaven to trial this product. I used this product in conjunction to the Avene skin recovery cream. The packaging is very minimalistic - our white with only the Avene logo and writing on it. It is a lovely packaging and stands out from others on the shelf. The packaging also contains clear written information and instructions. The container is 200ml. The written information says 'Avène Extremely gentle cleanser lotion is a no-rinse cleansing lotion formulated for irritable hypersensitive skin, using a minimum number of ingredients selected for their gentleness. ' The packaging suggest you use either a cotton pad or your fingertips to apply. I initially tried to use a cotton pad to apply but found it did not apply properly, but my fingertips (on the other hand) were perfect. I found the cleanser to be very easy to apply with my finger and it was very gentle on my skin (it actually felt lovely on my skin). I used this cleanser every morning (but it can also be used at night too) The cleanser contains Parcérine ®, 'which soothes and restores the hydrolipidic film on the skin and helps avoid irritation, skin feels clean, comfortable without any tightness.'. I agree with this statement as my skin definitely felt very clean and I have noticed a marked improvement in my skin texture and the redness has virtually disappeared. The product is paraben, fragrance, colourant and soap free, which is excellent when you have sensitive skin which can easily flair up. I really loved this product and will continue to use it as the results are so great.

AVÈNE TOLERANCE CONTROL SOOTHING SKIN RECOVERY CREAM I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this product by Beautyheaven. I was really looking forward to it as I love Avene products and how effective they are for me. The packaging is quite minimalistic - all white with the Avene logo and written information. Due to its minimalistic appearance it stands out on a shelf, quickly catching the customers eye. The packaging comes with detailed instructions on a pamphlet in the box. The tube is a generous 50mls. According to the information 'Avène Skin Recovery Cream is a daily moisturiser which rapidly soothes irritations, nourishes and moisturises the skin, restores the barrier protection and reinforces the skin defences for a long-lasting action. ' I used this product each day after showering (daily moisturiser) plus again at night before going to bed. I found I only had to use a small amount (so the tube will last me for quite a while - so cost effective). It was a translucent white colour and easy to apply. What I like about this cream is it is very light and was absorbed into my skin instantly and there was no oily residue left on my skin. This product contains Parcerine, which soothes and restores the hydrolipidic film on the skin and helps avoid irritation. My skin can get easily red and irritated, buy regularly using this cream I have noticed a vast improvement in my skin texture and the redness has dissipated. My skin looks and feels so much better - so much that I have been complimented on how good I look. (very happy with that!) All up I am very impressed and will continue to use (and buy) this cream as I am loving the results.

I was lucky enough to be selected to trial the Nature’s Way Beauty Collagen Mature Skin tablets. I received enough tablets to last two months. I admit I was sceptical about this trial as I have tried many tablets with very little results/benefits. However I was blown away with how much my skin has improved since taking these tablets. My skin looks and feels so much nicer, it feels plumper and firmer. I am so impressed that I have already gone out and purchased more of this product. According to the information Nature’s Way Beauty Collagen Mature Skin "helps to promote collagen production from deep within. Specifically formulated for more Mature Skin with twice the collagen of our original Beauty Collagen tablets plus skin care hero's Retinol and Vitamin C to reduce free radicals that form in the body it helps to visibly improve your skin elasticity and firmness as well as improve the health of your skin." Well I can attest to this as I have found my skins texture and visible appearance has vastly improved since taking it. My face feels so much better (when I touch it), it bounces back when I touch the skin and my wrinkles appear to have diminished. I must say I am not a fan of the tablet size, nor how many I need to take at the one time (think horse tablet size and four tablets). I actually found this a bit unpleasant.

I received this Translucent Loose Finishing Powder as part of a Nude by Nature trial package. As with the Mineral Powder this powder comes in the usual Nude by Nature packaging of clear plastic jar with a rose old screw on lid. The powder size is 10g. Once opened there is a shallow inner lining with a sieve-like inner base to allow the powder to flow through (this prevents excess powder from escaping). I used the (supplied) 05 Finishing brush to apply the product (loose powder). With a swirl in the tub and a slight tap (of the brush to remove excess powder) the application of the powder was easy. I found it glided onto the skin evenly and the coverage was excellent. This finishing powder definitely has a velvety feel to it. It applied in an even manner and looks totally natural. I have very oily skin and definitely found this powder controlled the oil and shine on my face. I was very impressed and will definitely be using this every day

I received this Natural Mineral Cover Powder as part of a Nude by Nature trial package. the powder comes in the usual Nude by Nature packaging of clear plastic jar with a rose old screw on lid. The powder size is 10g. Once opened there is a shallow inner lining with a sieve-like inner base to allow the powder to flow through (this prevents excess powder from escaping). I used the (supplied) 11 brush to apply the product (loose powder). With a swirl in the tub and a slight tap (of the brush to remove excess powder) the application of the powder was easy. I found it glided onto the skin evenly and the coverage was excellent. The powder is very light and covers blemishes very well. I have very oily skin and found it kept the oiliness at bay during the day. My skin didn't have its normal shiniest and I felt fresh all day (no makeup slippage at all or patchiness from the excess oil).

I received this brush as part of a Nude by Nature trial. This brush is the11 Mineral Brush and matches with their Natural Mineral Cover Powder. The brush arrived in a clear tube which you could store the brush in standing up due to the base. The brush itself measures just under 13cm and with a stubby handle - I did find this handle a bit short and awkward to use. A loner handle would have been more desirable. As with the 05 Finishing brush, the bristles are ultra soft and feel lovely against the skin. The brush is in the usual Nude by Nature brown tones and is of a light weight, a bit heavier than the 05 brush but still quite light. The bristles flare out from the base into a blunt triangular shape - creating a full brush with a domed top, which is great for application. A light dusting of the Mineral Cover Powder is easily achievable due to the shape of the brush. The brush easily picks up the powder, and with a light tap excess powder falls off before application. It sweeps nicely across the skin for easy and even powder application.

I received this brush as part of a Nude by Nature trial. This brush is the 05 Finishing Brush and matches with their Translucent Finishing Powder. The brush arrived in a clear tube which you could store the brush in standing up due to the base. The brush itself measures about 19cm and with a tapered handle is nice to hold. It appears to be a bit longer than my usual finishing brushes - love this as it feels more comfortable in my hand. The bristles are ultra soft and feel lovely against the skin. The brush is in the usual Nude by Nature brown tones and is of a light weight, therefore a great brush for travelling. The bristles oval in shape - creating a full brush, which is great for application. A light dusting of the finishing powder is easily achievable due to the shape of the brush. The brush easily picks up powder, and with a light tap excess powder falls off before application. It sweeps nicely across the skin for easy and even powder application.

I was very lucky to be given the opportunity to trial two of the Maybelline New York Color Sensational lipsticks. Each lipstick is encased in a rectangular tube which is of similar colour to the actual lipstick. It s of a minimalist design and very easy on the eye. What is it? According to the advertising - the lipstick is made For All Lipstick makeup features specially selected and obsessively tested pigments that make these universal lipstick shades looks sensational on all complexions. From my experience I found the pigmentation lusciously strong - it glided on my lips in a lovely creamy nature and the colour was strong and long lasting. I was sent the shades Spice for Me and Plum For Me . My skin tone is quite pale. Application was easy as the lipstick was rich and glided on beautifully. The colour was beautiful and richly pigmented - I actually had people commenting on the colours (and asking what lipstick I was wearing). I found the lipstick had great staying power - it stayed on most of the day (which is a record for me because lipstick does not generally stay on for that long). I loved the richness f the colour - it was bold without being over powering and the colours really went well with my skin tone (which I am quite pale) Overall I was very impressed with the lipstick and would definitely purchase,

I was lucky enough to be selected to trial the L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Intense Nutrition Repairing Serum. The product comes in a brown pump action bottle - the bottle is brown (as the entire range is this colour). Once pumped the serum is a clear gel. Unlike other products in this range this serum is light and very easy to apply. This product has a very mild scent. i found upon application the serum quickly absorbed into my skin and did not leave a greasy residue (a the other products in this range did) Of all the products within this range this is the one item I would keep and continue to use

I was lucky enough to trial the L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Intense Nutrition Range, which is advertised as containing Manuka Honey Extract + Calcium B5. The honey assists with repairing the skin barrier function, while the calcium B5 assists with the restoration of skin density and supporting skin tone. The Range includes Rich Repairing Day Cream, Extraordinary Repairing Serum and Rich Repairing Balm (Night). This range is for mature and dry skin. This Day Cream arrives packaged in a square shaped, glass jar which is brown (the whole range is this colour) - with gold accents. The product is a yellow cream is quite thick to the touch. The scent quite mild and not unpleasant. Application of this product proved a chore as due to its thick consistency it was harder to apply that other creams I have used/trialed. I found once applied it failed to absorb into my skin, it tended to sit on my skin and made my whole face appear shiny. In fact I did get a comment from a work colleague asking me if I was ill due to my face appearing shinier. I would not purchase this this product as I found it was very heavy on my skin and I could not see any results from my trial.
