I had been selected to trial the DermaVeen Daily Nourish Sun Sensitive SPF50+ with Body Moisturiser. It has been a few weeks now and I’m highly impressed with this product. One of the things that I love the most is, it is honestly just like applying moisturiser, but it comes with so many more added benefits. Being a mother to three children, I just don’t have time to apply moisturiser and sunscreen during my morning routine. The fact I can do both in one step is amazing. The formula has a nice velvet feel on the skin, nothing like your regular sunscreen. It spreads easily and soaks in. My skin feels hydrated, soft and does not feel oily or appear shiny. Testing it out in the sun, no complaints. I have not been burnt. I have not been able to test it out in water (swimming) as it has been too cold but washing my face with water has been fine, my eyes did not sting. I have caught my husband stealing this product for when he’s at work which is spent outdoors. His skin is quite sensitive like mine, and he loves this product. I highly recommend this product; I will be buying this continually in the future (And perhaps a bottle for the husband so he doesn’t steal mine!). Thank you Dermaveen for making taking care of my skin easy!

I have been trialing Ego QV Face nurturing night cream for several weeks now and feel quite pleased with this product. It comes in a glass jar and a mirror lid, a bit fancy. This cream does not have any scents, which is great if you have sensitive skin. The product is rich and creamy and soaks into the skin perfectly. In terms of improving the looks of my fine wrinkles, I haven’t seen any improvements, but my skin is feeling a lot softer and more hydrated. I haven’t found this product to cause any pimple outbreaks which is a win. I like that this night cream contains, vitamin B3 and safflower oil. I like using face oils within my skin care as my skin is so dry. I have seen improvements with the hydration levels in my face. The product size is what you would expect with most night creams.

I have been using QV Face Gentle Cleanser for a few weeks now and I love it. It is such a gentle cleanser that doesn’t leave my face feeling stripped or tight. I would say my skin is quite sensitive and can become quite irritated if I use the wrong products. The QV range is one I can trust, not only for myself but for my family too. This cleanser is soap free, contains vitamin E without any irritating scents. I found this wash doesn’t bubble up but feels a lot like moisturiser. It cleans well. I love that this product comes in a large 500g squirt bottle. At first, I thought it was a body wash due to the bottle size, so it is decent! I can see this lasting me for quite some time which is great. After using this product, my skin has stayed pimple free and has a nice soft appearance.

I have being using Neutrogena oil free acne face wash for a good six months now and very happy with the product. I struggled with acne along my jaw line and the odd pimple here and there. Since using this face wash my skin has improved dramatically, with only the odd pimple now and again. I use two pea sized drops morning and night, a tiny bit goes a long way. I have just under half a bottle left. I do find that my skin feels tight, shiny and dry after using this wash, so I do need to use a really good moisturiser afterwards each time. That would be my only complaint. I have so much more confidences with my clear skin that I am wearing less make up. I recommend this face wash to anyone who is fighting a war with acne and pimples. I never thought my skin could clear up this much. Super pleased.

I was lucky enough to have been given the chance to trial Eimele meal replacement shakes over these past four weeks. They came in two different flavours, vanilla and chocolate. I personally found them to be delicious, like a tasty treat but healthy. This trial not only included the shake sachets but also Eimele shake bottle. This made it very easy and quick to make up a shake and start my day right. I accepted this trial because I wanted to start making healthier lifestyle choices, especially after being in lockdown and gaining a little extra weight. During this trial, I lost 1.5kgs with little effort. As well as replacing my breakfast for a shake, I started to make an extra effort to go for walks, SUP boarding and eating nutritional meals. I found the shakes to be filling and satisfying without the need to top up on any food afterwards. I would not feel hungry until after lunch time. There were a couple of days when I did not have a shake because my family made me breakfast and I remember just feeling tired by the afternoon. I believe it was because I missed my morning shake with all the extra benefits of vitamins and minerals.

I was selected to trial Manicare Erase-it 2pk of reusable make-up removers. I do have some mixed feelings with this product. I love that it is a product that can be used over and over (Great for our planet!). I love that you only need to use water with the cloth pad to remove your make-up (It works). The cloth is super SUPER soft (you’d just want to snuggle it!). Super gentle, feels amazing. It did remove my make-up however my skin still felt like it needed to be washed with a cleanser. Simply, it’s great to take your makeup off but don’t expect to be finished with your cleansing routine. You will still need to use a soap after. If you remove your make up off normally using wipes – this is probably great product to switch too. As I mentioned, there was a few elements that left me a little unsure. After using your pad, you need to give it a clean and it is been recommended to use soap and air dry. Every few days, pop it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. I’m mostly concerned about bacterial growing, as it is quite thick, and it feels like a sponge inside. I feel nervous about reusing it for a few days without a proper machine clean. Keep in mind, I do breakout very quickly, so I am very cautious about my skin care. If the pads were smaller and not as thick and could dry quicker, I might consider buying it.

I have been lucky enough to trial the Sonic mini sensiScrub twin pack of Replacement Brush Heads for my Sonic Mini Cleaner. I really REALLY loved the idea of having silicone bristles brushes for my sonic mini (Brilliant! Amazing! Thank you Manicare!). I found that the brushes dry a lot quicker which equals = no bacteria (Winning!). I am always worried that my other brush head will grow unwanted bacteria from being moist due to taking a little longer to dry properly. These silicone brush heads are super gentle and feels amazing to touch. It hasn’t got a plastic feel at all. I found them to exfoliate my skin just nicely, leaving me feeling fresh. I did notice that my cleanser doesn’t quite foam up as much but saying that, my skin has still felt clean. All up, I am super impressed with this product and would highly recommend it to everyone.

I have been trialling the Sonic Mini Rechargeable Facial Cleansing Brush for almost two weeks now. It is such a cute little product and reminds me of a pink marshmallow. The pack comes with the ‘marshmallow’, one soft cleansing brush and a recharge USB cord. The ‘marshmallow’ does come with a little power already however, it is recommended that you recharge it for 2hrs prior your first use. Once fully charged, it’ll last up to 5hrs. I haven’t had to recharge my mine yet. I really love my mini facial cleanser. My skin not only feels cleaner, but my skin hasn’t been breaking out as much as it would normally. By just looking at the brush, I was worried it might be too harsh (sensitive skin here), but it has been very gentle. The vibration of the ‘marshmallow’ I feel helps with blood circulation and helps to get more of a deeper clean. It is super easy to use, the head attachment just clicks on and to remove, you pop it off, highly recommend it to everyone!

I was lucky enough to trial, Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Serum for the last month. This product is clinically, and ophthalmologist tested. The clear serum comes in a similar jar as a mascara which makes application super easy. The product smells a lot like alcohol but it’s not at all noticeable. I applied the serum each night like a normal mascara onto my lashes and used the tip of the wand to apply along the lash line. You can apply it to your brows or under your make up as well (just allow the serum to dry first). I found my lashes felt a lot stronger by the end of my trial – YAY! I’m not sure if the length of my lashes increased much but they’re improved. I am very impressed with this product, I wasn’t expecting much of a change and would recommend it to all my family and friends.

I have been trialling Nair Hair Removal Shower Cream for the legs & body. The packaging says this product is for sensitive skin types and contains 100% natural coconut oil PLUS vitamin E. Dermatologist tested, dye and paraben free. The 357g bottle comes with a handy little sponge for easy product removal. I’m feeling a little disappointed about this cream removal. Firstly though, I liked that they’ve added coconut oil and vitamin E to this product. This was quite evident when I first removed the cream from off my legs and arms. The sponge was very handy tool to have been included. You need to apply the cream 1 minute before your shower and once you’re in the shower you can’t get water onto the applied cream area for another 3 minutes. So yes, it’s true… it works while you shower but are you really showering if you’re trying to avoid the water? I got different results for my arms compared to my legs. I probably could have left the cream on longer for my legs. I had a few patches of stubborn hairs not wanting to budge. For my arms, the cream processed very fast and probably didn’t need the extra 2 minutes in the shower. My skin on my arms reacted (I do have sensitive skin) and it felt a bit prickly in a couple of spots before I washed off. I washed it off and discovered I was bleeding from a very small area on my arm which had felt prickly. I didn’t have any cuts or pimples before application, so this is a concern for me. Unless I managed to scrap myself with my nails but generally this never happens. I didn’t receive any negative skin reaction on my legs. I also noticed red spots on my arms that disappeared an hr later. My skin at first felt silky right after washing off but not after I dried myself down. My skin felt tight. A couple of days later, my wrist areas developed a patch of very itchy, red skin. It’s currently healing and pealing. I found the hairs grew back in about three days which was disappointing after my experiences as the bottle states ‘Smooth skin up to 6 days’. To sum it all up, I won’t be using this cream due to my reactions. I don’t believe I would be saving myself much time using this cream compared to just shaving. I feel like there are too many precautions associated to using this product.
