I was lucky enough to trial the Nude by Nature Bioactive Rosehip Oil. I have used many different Rosehip Oil before, so I was looking forward to giving Nude By Nature’s a test. The packaging is simple but sleek. The product comes in a frosted glass bottle bottle with a glass pipette for easy distribution. The product itself is a yellow oil and has the ‘Rosehip’ scent, but it is not as potent as other oils. I was quite happy with the consistency, some RH oils can feel quite dry, but this one was hydrating. The instructions say to use 3 drops for the face, but I felt it wasn’t enough. So I used 4 drops for face and 3 for neck and decolletage. Once applied it left my skin feeling super soft and smooth. It also leaves my skin looking plump and healthy. It is great to wear alone or with my other skincare products and is fine to wear underneath make up (I just let the oil sink in for around 30 mins first). I’ve noticed my skin looking and feeling amazing since trialling the Nude By Nature Bioactive Oil. I will definitely be incorporating it into my skincare routine.

I was lucky enough to trial the Nivea Naturally Good Micellar Wash Gel. I’m a massive fan of Micellar waters, but using cotton pads or anything extra always seemed time consuming (and not to mention the waste) give me a cleanser that I can put on my hands while in the shower and I’m happy. So I was very interested in trying the Nivea Micellar Wash, because I could do just that! On first impressions the packaging is quite simple and fresh. Happy there is a pump, as that makes it so much easier to access. The actual product is gel texture and quite thick but slippery. I was surprised at the fragrance, for a product that is ‘natural’ the scent is quite strong. But while strong it’s fresh and not offensive. I enjoyed using the Micellar Wash with and without make up. Although I found I had to cleanse twice when wearing make up to make sure it all came off. It doesn’t foam up while using it, which I prefer. The Micellar Wash didn’t leave my skin feeling tight and dry which is a major plus. The only downside is the smaller sized bottle and the strong scent. But as mentioned above, it’s not a ‘bad’ scent. I would purchase again.

I have been lucky enough to trial the Olay Daily Facials Sensitive Cleansing Clothes for the past couple of weeks and overall I’m happy with the results. First of all I’ll get into what they are, the Olay Daily Facials Sensitive Cleansing Cloths are essentially a face wipe but a little different. They come completely dry and need water to activate them. Once you run the cloth under water, you can see the cloth bubble up a tiny bit. Because the Olay Daily Facials Sensitive Cleansing Cloths come dry, they are convenient to take in my handbag with out having to take the whole packet. Handy to take to the gym, while travelling and just to keep in my handbag for any moment I may need a refresher. The only negatives I have are the packaging. The cloth themselves are kept in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. I would much prefer if they were in a reusable container. The box and plastic bag aren’t the most reliable form of packaging. So overall the cloths perform well, gets rid of my makeup at the end of the day including waterproof mascara. The cloths suit my sensitive skin and didn’t have any fragrance. They left my face feeling clean afterwards and I didn’t have to go back to use another cleanser. I have been using a cleansing pad (that requires no product, just water) for months and while I won’t be replacing it, I’ll still continue using the Olay Daily Facials Sensitive Cleansing Cloths for when my skin needs to feel refreshed and cleansed.

I was so excited to get the opportunity to review the Olay Total Effects Whip SPF30 moisturiser. Not only because Olay is a product that I have always loved and trusted. It’s also super exciting when they bring out a new concept. But because it arrived in time for me to test while overseas, in a hot sunny country. I could really test out it’s SPF factor and I can fully say that it ticked every box. The product comes in a tub that is so pretty to look at, it’s sturdy and is high quality. The actual cream is lightly scented, it smells like a SPF cream which doesn’t bother me, as I love the scent of sunscreen. The texture is light and as started in its title, whipped. It’s so light on the face and easy to work into the skin all over. As I was trialling this product I was in a hot, sunny and humid country, but because the cream is so light my skin could still breath. It doesn’t feel heavy or thick. It works beautifully on its own or under makeup. This cream is perfect for the warmer weather. Makes me so excited for summer!

After receiving the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths shampoo and conditioner for trial, I was pleasantly surprised that it also included the ‘No Haircut Cream’ leave in treatment as well. I love a good leave in treatment, something about the convenience of a product you can leave in and not have to worry about rinsing out is satisfying to me. So if you throw the words ‘No Haircut’ into the mix, I’m sold! The product itself comes in a bottle with a pop cap (kind of like a water bottle top) and the bottle is orange with pops of bright pink. The product is off-white in colour and the consistency is light and silky. It almost melts in my hands before I put it into my hair. The scent is the same as the shampoo and conditioner in the same line. Very strong, but I personally love it. I have applied this treatment in several ways and they have all worked amazingly. I first applied it in my towel dried hair and left it to air dry. My naturally wavy hair usually dries to a big fluffy, frizzy mess but after using the leave in treatment it smoothed my waves down and didn’t leave my hair looking as messy. I then applied the cream to my towel dried hair and blow dried it. This left my hair feeling and looking shiny and silky smooth. Lastly I applied it after styling my hair with my straightener. It smoothed down my fly always nicely and gave my hair a little shine. Overall, this cream performs nicely as a leave in treatment, but I wouldn’t say it did anything with my split ends. Maybe just make them feel more moisturised.

I was very excited to get the opportunity to try the new L’Oreal Paris Elvive range. Especially since this one is directed at longer hair and hair with split ends and breakage. My hair is on the longer side and because I usually skip getting my hair trimmed, I have quite a few split ends which makes my ends look ratty. Firstly I love the look of this product, it’s the same style L’Oreal Elvive bottles, but this line is bright orange with pops of bright pink. The product itself is white and is super thick and creamy. The consistency reminds me more of a hair mask than a conditioner. The scent is amazing and strong. It lingers in hair for days, which I didn’t mind as the scent nice. It’s easy to apply to my hair, I started at the ends first and worked my way up to my roots. While the product is in, it instantly makes me hair feel smooth and silky. It doesn’t leave that slimy feeling, but you can tell it feels a lot smoother. After my hair has been dried (naturally or heat) my hair not only looks nourished and glossy but it feels so silky. I’m not sure if it has done anything for the split ends, but I can notice a different in the feeling. They don’t feel as spiky and crunchy.

I was so excited to try this shampoo in a trial. I have been a massive fan in the L’Oreal Elvive hair care range for quite some time. My go to is always the colour care line, with its signature red bottles. But after hearing about their new Dream Lengths range, I knew I had to give it a try. My hair is getting quite long and I’m afraid to admit that I haven’t had a hair cut in a few months (don’t judge) so my ends are indeed looking a little ratty and are starting to break off, so this range has my name all over it. The Shampoo bottle is a bright orange colour with bubblegum pink accents, it’s the classic Elvive style bottle. The actually product smells heavenly! I can’t get over how amazing the scent is. Sweet yet refreshing at the same time. The product is pearly in look and the consistency is thick. It takes a little work to evenly distribute into my hair, but lathers nicely. Not to foamy, but still enough to know it’s working. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling like wire, but it does leave it feeling clean.

Feet, not the most glamorous body part. One part I never really talk about and sadly one part I more than often neglect. Which is sad, as our feet are the ones that support us everyday. So when I was sent this product to test for trial I jumped on board, my tootsies needed help and this was their time to shine (well maybe not shine, but time to feel loved). I’m not going to lie, I felt a little frightened using this product at first, I was scared it was going to hurt. But it didn’t! In fact it was easy to use, so simple and quite satisfying. I used it straight after a shower, so my skin had softened a little. My heels were dry and cracked from wearing open shoes and now the cold weather. The exfoliator made my heels look smooth and are now noticeably softer. I’m amazed something so easy to use had such a big impact. The slick black plastic handle, easy to hold and fits in your hand nicely. I really appreciate the plastic cover over the metal exfoliator, this keeps it clean but also helps unwanted scraps or cuts when you have it in your travel bag. 10/10 would recommend!

The moment Micellar water became a big deal in the beauty world, I jumped aboard the cleansing train. Garnier was the first Micellar water cleanser that I tried and ever since I have been hooked. Gentle, tick. It takes off stubborn makeup with ease, tick. You don’t need to rinse off afterwards, big tick. So when I had the opportunity to trial the new Garnier Micellar Milky Cleasner I quickly put up my hand. It comes in the same classic bottle as the original, the only difference in appearance is that the actual product is milky. The consistency isn’t exactly ‘water’ anymore, as it’s thicker and more like a gel, a thinner gel. There is still no scent, which is a massive plus for anyone with sensitive skin. What I absolutely loved with the original Micellar water was that it didn’t leave a sticky residue behind on my skin. Unfortunately with the Milky version, it does leave a sticky feeling on my skin and I have to rinse my face straight after. While it did remove my makeup fairly well, I still feel it didn’t perform as well as the original. I could use one cotton pad soaked in the original Micellar and it would remove all my makeup. With the Milky version, I had to use two cotton pads and still had a little mascara left on my eyes. I’ll continue using the full bottle, but once I’m finished I will go back to the original Garnier Micellar Water.

I was excited to try the Maybelline FitMe Matte and Poreless foundation, as I have previously purchased this product before, but I could never find the right shade for me. With whispers of new shades being released, I really had hoped for the perfect match! The foundation itself is a cult classic within the beauty world. The foundation has a matte finish, but what I love about it is that it isn’t harshly matte. It’s not chalky, flat or dry looking as some matte foundations are on me. It gave me a natural finish all over, after using a hydrating primer it didn’t cling to dry patches or settle in my fine lines. It also gave me a medium coverage, but I could build it up to a medium/full coverage. It applied well if I wanted to build it up as well. I didn’t feel the need to set with powder (except under my eyes) and it lasted all day long, which is what I love in a foundation. It comes in a glass bottle with a black cap, I love the simple yet classic labelling. My only downfall is not finding my perfect shade, although the shade range is quite impressive and I’m sure there is something for most people.
