My skin type is combination with an oily t-zone, i always look for a matte finish in my foundations. I was excited to try this new foundation i have heard great things about! The packaging of the foundation is the same square glass bottle as the original Fit Me Foundation. It only has a screw top bottle lid and no pump which can be difficult to control the amount of product that comes out. I am asian with a yellow undertone thus i chose the colour in Natural Beige 220. First thing i noticed was that the formula is on the thicker side yet it was still fluid enough for high blend-ability. The foundation also does not have a noticeable scent which i actually prefer as i have sensitive skin. I applied the foundation using my trusty damp beauty blender, which provided a lovely satin finish to the skin that still allowed my skin to show through. It wasn't completely matte which sometimes makes the skin look flat, but it gave a subtle dimension to the skin which was lovely. It has a medium coverage that covered up the redness and discolourations in my skin. The application was beautifully smooth and sets quickly soon after leaving a powdered finish. As i wore the foundation throughout the day it felt lightweight and my skin felt breathable. I work at a cosmetic counter so my skin does tend to get oily under the bright lights which contributed to the oilyness on my t-zone, however a bit of blotting does the trick! Overall this foundation is fantastic and i highly recommend it if you have normal, combination or oily skin and you are looking for a lightweight foundation that evens out your skin. It is also an affordable foundation so perfect for those who have a tight budget!

I received this brow gel as part of the L'Oreal Miss Manga, its great that brow gel products are becoming more popular and brands are releasing new brow products! I remember trying to find an affordable good brow gel a couple of years ago but i couldn't! I received a clear brow gel, it is great for setting your brows and keeping them look nice and neat. I do find that the formula does lack staying power especially when i have sparse long brow hair, so its great as a basic brow gel. The brow wand is small and its perfect for brushing the eyebrow hair, not too big or small! :)

I was excited to be able to participate in this trial! I have Asian lashes, which grow straight and do not curl without an eyelash curler, therefore I look for a mascara that helps to keep my curl but also be smudge-proof! I received two L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara in black and blue, the first thing I noticed was the cute packaging which is super sleek and eye catching. The mascara wand is cone shaped that has thick bristles towards the end and it tapers out towards the tip of the wand, which can be used to get the little lashes. I noticed the formula to be quite wet and sometimes it accumulates towards the tip of the mascara wand so before application I do have to wipe off the excess. I didn't notice any particular fragrance from this mascara which I really like because I find a lot of mascaras have a smell and its not pleasant to me at all! As always before application I always use my Shu Uemura eyelash curler, I found it helped to volumise my eyelashes and the colour payoff is an intense black colour. But the formula seemed heavy for my eyelashes and the curl falls after application leaving straight lashes. I love the fact it gave mega volume especially on my lower eyelashes but its lacking the staying power to hold up the curl, it may be that the wet formula is not suitable for my Asian lashes. The mascara is probably more suitable for those who already have curly lashes (jealous!). I rate this a 3 out of 5, overall a good mascara!

These pore strips are great which I have been using for many years and it is super fun to use! Before you use the pore strip ensure your nose is clean and wet, this allows the strip to adhere to your skin. Allow the strip to sit for 10-15 minutes until it completely becomes hard, this is when you know it is time to peel off. Slowly peel off and hello blackheads! It is highly effective for those stubborn blackheads and my nose feels really smooth and great afterwards. Sometimes I experience dryness so I make sure to gently rinse the nose with warm water and moisturize. Highly recommend! They are satisfying and will reduce your enlarged pores.

I have to admit that I rarely use masks because I find myself being too lazy to make or apply one! I am really into the idea of this being a one minute mask, it is perfect for people who just don't have the time to lay down for 20 minutes or those who are lazy. Everyone's got one minute right? There is absolutely no excuse for this one-minute mask. This pack contains four sachets of a thick, black liquid where the dark colour of course comes from the charcoal itself. I find one sachet can provide two applications to the face, so this packet can give me eight applications. The scent of the mask is very familiar again, this smell is unique to Biore and I would think most of their products have this specific scent, its lovely. This mask is so interesting because when I first apply it onto my skin it instantly provides this warmth, it almost feels like its opening my pores allowing the charcoal to penetrate and extract all the impurities. With this mask you don't wait and allow it dry, you can instantly clean it off after literally one minute. To me it so almost like a deep-cleaning cleanser, it is convenient to use this before a shower. My skin felt smooth, clean and soft – I enjoyed the product and the convenience of the sachets also allows it to be travel-friendly. I will be definitely taking this pack to my next trip. Overall this product is fantastic, highly recommend.

I received the Charcoal Cleanser as part of the trial and I was excited to try this new formula. I have never used anything that had charcoal in it. It has been known for a long time that charcoal is highly beneficial to the skin. Charcoal is a porous substance that attracts and binds to dirt, chemicals and bacteria. I have used Biore in the past and the scent is very familar – it smells very pleasant and soothing. The actual formula of the cleanser is thick and dark in colour with tiny black specks. I love how it really does deep cleanse the face and I find it removes all my stubborn makeup and leaves my skin feeling very clean and fresh. A small amount of product is enough for my entire face, I use it with a Clarisonic so it lathers up a lot! I assume it has menthol on it because my skin has this 'cooling' sensation afterwards which feels nice. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry like some other heavy cleansers do, I now use this everyday and I am loving it. I recommend this product for people with combination/oily skin, it works really well at deep cleaning your skin and leaves it with a squeaky-clean feel. Lovely product!

Hello lovelies, I had the great opportunity to trial a foundation product from Rimmel London. I personally have not used a foundation from this brand before, so it was quite exciting to see how it would work with my skin. I have mostly normal to combination skin and my t-zone gets oily throughout the day. The one thing I love about this foundation is the packaging, it is in a sleek, tall glass bottle and comes with a pump! It is very easy to control and dispense the amount of foundation I want to use. Surprisingly I found the foundation colour to suit my skin quite well and one pump was sufficient enough to cover my entire face without looking cakey. I used a damp beauty blender sponge to blend it into my skin, the foundation has buildable medium coverage. It blends quite smooth and the finish is natural that isn't matte or shiny, if you have oily skin I recommend to powder well. This foundation also contains vitamin E and SPF 20 which is great for everyday. Throughout the day I found it lasted quite well, I like how it feels lightweight and not heavy on my face. When I rub my nose foundation transfers off and it does claim to be transfer-proof. Overall the foundation is good but not amazing however it is fantastic for its price! I recommend this for most skin types, if you have dry skin I recommend to moisturize well before use. ☺

Hello beauties, I am delighted to review another cosmetic product, which is the new Maybelline 'Fit Me!' stick foundation. I generally use liquid foundations in my makeup routine, so this was a product I was excited to test and try. I received the colour in 'Beige Natural' and it retails for 15.95 which is reasonable in terms of drugstore however it only contains 9 grams of product. The stick foundation comes in a black tube with a clear plastic lid – you twist the foundation up from the bottom like a lipstick! Immediately as I opened the package I did not notice any particular smell from the foundation and as I swatched it on the back of my hand I noticed how smooth it glided. On the packaging it says “Shine-free” which caught my eye as I have oliy-combination skin. During application I directly applied the stick foundation onto my face with a thin layer of coverage, I then blended it out with a small kabuki brush which worked great. I recommend using your fingers or a sponge to blend it out. The foundation was smooth and fused into my skin well, I was surprised that it did not cake my skin. However I did notice it emphasized dry patches I did have on my forehead. It provides light to medium coverage and gave my skin an even and matte base that does not feel overly heavy. As the packaging is small this would be great for women on the go, even teenagers. I recommend this product for women have oliy skin or experience shininess throughout the day, it is not suitable for dry skin as it will cling to the dry patches and will not blend! Overall this is a good product and is reasonably priced, I rate it a 4 our of 5. ☺

Product 1 was soft and felt like it was higher in quality compared to product 2. Furthermore product 2 has more stray cottons which can be annoying for nail polish removal. Product 1 does not have any stray cotton hair. Product one soaked liquid very well.

I tend to stay away from wipes, as I've tried wipes in the past that would irritate my sensitive skin leaving it red and stung.
Even baby wipes would sting my face however I decided to give Simple's cleaning facial wipes a trial. My first impression was how light and convenient the packaging is which is great for travelling and can be easily fit into a bag. It has a resalable sticker which prevents the wipes from drying out and the green packaging really does reflect the brand's name which is nice. My first impression was how well the wipes removed my makeup, it removed my face and eye makeup including mascara and eyeliner. I was very impressed and it was quick and easy. I usually would have to remove my makeup in two steps, using an oil based makeup remover and then thoroughly washing my face with a face wash. However the convenience of face wipes reduced the steps into one! Great for women who are lazy with taking off their makeup!
It claims to have no perfume however it does have a subtly refreshing scent that is pleasant. I also like how the wipes do not contain any alcohol and oil which is great for all skin types. The downside to these wipes is that it does sting my eyes for a short period however it does subside, but overall it did not cause a reaction. I will definitely purchase these wipes in the future and it will be great when I travel overseas in a few weeks. I recommend these wipes as they are great for all skin types! I rate this product a 4 out of 5. :)
