The Schick Hydro Silk Perfect Finish Kit is a hair removal system designed to remove hair from the bikini and face, including brows. I was somewhat hesitant to try this product on my brows, as I prefer to leave this to the professionals, but decided to give it a try (thanks BH for the trial invite) thanks to Covid! The product itself is very well made, durable and super easy to use. It comes with a little bag to store the attachments, which are very easy to interchange. When removing hair, the shaver is gentle, quiet, light weight and doesn't snag the hairs while it trims. I cautiously used it to shape and trim my eyebrows and I was still safe to go out in public afterwards. Phew! However, this product excels at shaving those little spots around the body that are too small/awkward for a traditional razor like the ankles and bikini line. It is actually perfect when you are just about to leave the house and realise you have missed a spot! I appreciate that the product is battery operated and reusable. Overall, I am still quite anxious to use the Schick Hydro Silk Perfect Finish Kit on my eyebrows however, it is great for other hair removal as mentioned above. It isn't a must-buy and a product that I would use daily although, it is a useful addition to add to my hair removal routine.

I received the Eau Thermale Avène Revitalizing Nourishing Cream as part of the BH trial team. My skin is normal-dry and I have just started experiencing skin sensitivity (ah, the joys of post-partum). Here are some features that I would like to highlight about my experience with the product: - The packaging is a light-weight, yet sturdy acrylic jar, although it is not easily recyclable; - No SPF, although I am yet to find the perfect day cream that has decent SPF; - Can be used in the day or evening; perfect for those minimalists! - No detectable fragrance; - No fancy-schmancy ingredients like retinol, vitamin c, hydrolytic acid or unicorn tears. This isn’t too much of a concern for me as I am happy to age gracefully (read, I am too lazy/too tired to bother); - The cream was perfectly suitable for my dry and dehydrated skin. My face immediately felt soft after application and my dry patches were kept at bay. The cream also absorbed nicely although I can’t comment in whether it affected make-up application because #isolife; - I personally didn’t experience any skin sensitivity when using this product; and - Readily available and often on sale! This product gets a big tick from me and I would happily purchase this with my own money in the future.

I received the Eau Thermale Avène Soothing Radiance Mask as part of the BH trial team. Here are some features that I would like to highlight about my experience, as someone who has normal-dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin: - The mask is packaged in a hygienic tube that is easily dispensed; - Neutral smell/not perfumed; - Although my face felt a little bit softer, I didn’t notice any immediate or longer-term ‘radiance’ to my skin; - The mask was thinner in texture compared with many other face masks I have used and therefore required a lot more product to achieve a thick layer. I feel like I would use this mask up a lot faster compared with others and it therefore may not be as cost effective; - I didn’t feel that this mask was hydrating or moisturising, compared with other masks, which is typically the main feature I look for in a face mask; - Being Avene, the mask is readily available and often on sale! Unfortunately this product is not suited to my skin-type. Although I didn’t experience any sensitivity when using the mask, I also didn’t experience any beneficial side-effects compared with other masks I have used. This product might be suitable for someone looking for a very basic face mask that has no bells and whistles.

Such a cost effective at-home beauty treatment that is simple to apply. I really don't have too much more to add to the previous reviews but I have been using this product to tint my eye lashes for years and it has been a god sent! The result is exactly the same as what you pay at a beauty salon, but obviously a lot lot cheaper. Like all eye lash tints, this won't replace the job of a mascara but will tint your lashes, giving them a more defined but natural look. I find the tint lasts for about 2 weeks. Yes, I was a bit scared at first given that the treatment can sometimes sting, but once you get the knack, you won't look back!

The Body Shop's Indian Night Jasmine is the most perfect spring time fragrance with notes of jasmine, sandalwood, orange blossom and violet. This perfume smells fresh yet floral, simple yet multifaceted. The notes of jasmine and violet are perfectly combined to deliver a floral perfume whilst the orange blossom balances the perfume to create a fresh, slightly creamy element and the base note of sandalwood deepens this perfume creating a slightly oriental twist. Like I mentioned the perfume is beautifully balanced meaning that the floral jasmine note is not dominant, so don't be swayed by the fragrance's name if heady white floral fragrances give you a headache! The longevity of the perfume is around four hours, with a moderate silage. Overall the The Body Shop's Indian Night Jasmine is a cosy but feminine and slightly flirty scent. For the price you pay, the perfume is good value for money and would also make a lovely gift. Being the perfume fanatic I don't think I will repurchase but I would definitely recommend!

I too was lucky enough to receive Blessed by Nature's Antioxidant Night Restoring Cream at the recent Natural Beauty Month Event held at BH's HQ. Admittedly, nothing about the product initially intrigued me on first glance, but how looks can be deceiving! As I alluded to, the understated packaging is nothing fancy. The cream is packaged in a basic flip top tube with no over-the-top marketing claims however, the product itself is quite impressive. The first thing you will notice when you apply this night cream is the amazing delicate rose scent that smells rather luxurious, think Jurlique or Aesop. The scent lingers on the skin which I really love but I do realise this might not be everybody's cup of tea! The cream is light-to-medium in consistency and absorbs fast into your skin. Immediately my skin felt soft however, in the winter months' and for those with dry skin types like myself, this product may not be moisturising enough. If only I discovered this moisturiser in my twenties as it is a great "basic" night cream for those that don't have any major skin concerns. I will happily to continue using this product once winter is over however, will most likely not repurchase as it isn't the best match for my dry skin. However, I am now really intrigued and looking forward to trying other products that are better suited to me by the Blessed by Nature brand.

I too was lucky enough to receive the Nude by Nature Mineral Cover Foundation at the recent Natural Beauty Month Event at Beautyheaven HQ. Having used this product several years ago in my early twenties I was keen to give it another go, considering the profile of my skin has dramatically changed. Hello 30, fine lines and dry skin! As someone with dry skin who prefers liquid foundations that provide a dewy finish, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this powder provides a natural yet radiant finish. The coverage is light-to-medium, being able to cover my redness and even out my skin tone. The longevity of this powder is moderate when applied over a primer. I found that it didn't require any touch ups throughout the day. The powder also didn't settle in any fine lines, "cake" or oxidase. In regards to foundation, this product ticks all the right boxes for me except for one major exception/flaw... The packaging is beyond infuriating. I have to tap the container what feels like a million times in order to dispense enough product through the sifter. Perhaps mine was faulty (though it seems like a comment problem judging from the reviews below), but it is near impossible to use that I have given up. When I have a chance, I will try and decant the powder into another container without a sifter, but I can imagine that will get a bit messy! As mentioned, I really loved this foundation however I cannot overlook the inconvenience of the packaging, and sadly it won't replace my liquid foundations anytime soon.

I too was lucky enough to receive the Skin Physics Collagen Beauty Elixir at the Natural Beauty Month Event at BH HQ (Thanks BH and Skin Physics for allowing me the opportunity to trial this unique beauty product as admittedly, it is not something that I would have originally purchased.) This powder supplement claims to improve the skins's firmness, complexion, radiance, elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines by adding two scoops of the product (scoop included in the container, bonus!) and dissolving in half a cup of cold water, consuming daily. The product is easily dissolved with the exception of some of the turmeric which will remain in the bottom of your glass. You can also add this to smoothies/shakes, which is what I preferred. The product has a similar mouth feel to aloe vera juice and tastes pleasantly like berry. As for the results, after three weeks of daily consumption I can not detect any visible differences to the appearance of my skin. I feel that this product is more of a "superfood" where it works its magic on the inside rather than the out and is a good supplement.

I too was lucky enough to receive the Trilogy Rosehip Transformation Cleansing Oil at the Natural Beauty Event at BH HQ earlier this month. I love Trilogy products and cleansing oils so was very eager to try this product. For reference, I have dry skin and I have used this cleansing oil for the past few weeks and I have fallen in love with it. I apply one-to-two pumps to my face and gently massage in with my Face Halo whilst I am in the shower. The product leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised, but does not leave an oily residue , compared to a lot of other oil cleansers on the market that I have tried. The cleanser is quite effective in removing make up such as foundation and mascara when I use it in conjunction with my Face Halo. Unlike some of the reviews below, I don't really detect any noticeable scent and I was impressed with the packaging. I plan on repurchasing when I run out; which might take a while as a little goes along way. Overall the product is excellent value and a highly effective oil cleanser made by a fab brand, Trilogy, who don't test on animals.

I really wanted to fall in love with this product because the scent is absolutely heavenly however, this treatment didn't work for me. I have used the Garnier Banana Hair Food as a regular conditioner and a hair mask and I found it didn't do much in terms of moisturizing my hair. For reference, I have coloured hair with dry ends but oily roots. On the plus side, I found that even when I did apply the product to my roots, it didn't make them any oiler and it didn't compromise on volume or weigh my hair down. My hair felt a little bit softer the next day. The treatment isn't as thick as other similar hair treatments I have used and is a little bit runny. As I mentioned, the scent is really yummy although I found it didn't really linger once my hair was dried. The tub is too large and it's not the most practical to have in the shower. Products packaged in flip top lids are the best ;) Sadly the Garnier Hair Banana Food didn't work for me and I wouldn't recommend if you were after a deep moisturizing treatment. It would be great for kids though because of the fun scent!
