I trialled the Dermal Therapy Sensitive Skin Lotion through the Best in Beauty trial box, which claims to increase skin hydration by 50%. I would say this is accurate. My skin definitely felt more hydrated after application, but I wouldn't describe this as the moisture bomb my skin needs when incredibly dry, so I don't think this will be a constant through winter. Just to maintain hydration day to day would work though. I have itchy skin (I'm still trying to work out what it's from), which this product is suitable for, however it didn't ease that for me. There is a slight scent to it which I can't place. You'll think I'm mad but it reminds me of chai tea.

I trialled the Remington One Dry and Styler Hairdryer through the Best in Beauty trial box. It's a metallic grey and rosegold with a fair weight to it. There is a clip loop at the base to wrap and store the cord when not in use. The cord was long enough for me for the power point where I would use it from. This hair dryer has 3 heat settings, 3 fan settings and a cooling setting. I have a bit of a noise sensitivity and found the 2 higher heat settings a bit too loud so I just stick to the first one. I was pleased how my hair looked after drying with this - not too much frizz and nice volume.

I was lucky enough to trial the Lonvitalite Platinum Contour Roller through the Best in Beauty trial box, and what a luxurious product it is! It comes in an elegant cardboard box and is nestled inside a foam insert. The handle is a very sturdy metal while the rollers are made of plastic. I found a video on Youtube to follow that seemed pretty simple and did that every second day. Just the massage itself was a relaxing experience, I felt a release of tension particularly when I had a headache, and was surprised to immediately notice my eye area looking less puffy. The trial period was too short to notice much else change to my appearance, but I'm keen to see what happens with continued use. My favourite was to use this was with my cleansing oil before I was my face - makes cleaning the roller easy too. I'm subtracting one star for the price point though, as I think you're really paying for the brand name.

I received the Bioderama Sensibio Micellar Cleansing Oil as part of the Best in Beauty trial box. Oh my, this feels like such a luxurious cleansing oil, a bit on the thicker side but not in a way that's hard to wash off. A slight, slight vegetable oil scent but I only detected that because I was checking for scent lol. It removed light makeup effectively and didn't strip the skin at all. I do follow this up with a gel cleanser for my second cleanser when wearing sunscreen or makeup. Handy pump bottle. Keep an eye out for sales at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse!

This serum from John Frieda is so good! It reduced the frizz I have a lot, whether it be after air-drying my hair or day after hair, or helping keep heat-styled hair nice and sleek for longer. Sometimes hair serums can weigh down my fine hair with very little product or make it look oily but I didn't face that problem here. There is no overpowering scent and I'm happy that this doubles as a heat protectant. The consistency reminds me of some of the thicker, juicier hyaluronic acid face serums I've used. Very pleased to receive this as part of the Best in Beauty trial box.

I received the Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm from Burt's Bees as part of the Best in Beauty trial box. I really, really liked this one. All the butters in the lip balm make it feel really hydrating and smooth but not heavy. It really helped moisturise my dry lips, and they get incredibly dry. I'd keep using this one as a prep before putting on lipstick, and definitely pick it up for winter. The scent reminds me of an essential oil I can't place but I like it. I've loved many varieties of the lip balms available from Burt's Bess, but I think this is replacing my favourite minty one.

I was lucky to receive the Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate Wash Lotion as part of the Best In Beauty trial box. I'm glad to see the packaging mentions to use this externally only. This contains lactic acid which is a hydrating AHA and as AHA's help with ingrown hairs I was interested to see if this would help my bikini line as that area can be prone to them. It was only a short trial period and I didn't start with many ingrown spots so it's a little early to say, but the area also didn't get worse so maybe? Non-drying, mild scented soap to be used on the outside only, like how you would wash with any other soap.

I have used a flavoured Dermal Therapy lip balm before that I'm pretty sure I liked, but I'm afraid to say I didn't love the original version. This one has a medical kind of scent/flavour to it that I don't like (similar to Carmex I guess) as it has menthol in the product. I may have a sensitivity to this as menthol lip products can dry my lips out with continual use. So. This lip balm isn't for me but it is worthwhile trying if you're okay with the ingredients list. The slanted tip make application easy and hands free, the balm is not sticky, and the price point is amazing, even more so if you catch it on sale.

I love Remington hair products, I have a hair straightener that could probably drive, so it was great to receive this 2-in-1 product from the Best in Beauty. Love that this comes with a case and a glove to protect you from burns. I do recommend reading the instructions to work out how to switch between functions. Very simple, but the covers get hot when turned on. Using the straightener left me with lovely sleek hair all day and I didn't feel like I was frying my hair. I'm still practicing with getting my curls to hold but I have been able to curl waves into my bangs that lasted most of the day. This is a great dual product so you don't have to buy separate ones.

I was lucky enough to trial this through the best in beauty trial box, along with the accompanying shampoo. I really enjoyed the combination of these two products. I wasn't sure by the packaging if you're supposed to apply this to the scalp as well, but I did anyway and it worked. My scalp was hydrated without making my roots heavy. Through the lengths of my (very) long hair were nicely hydrated too as well as seeming a little more voluminous. It just seemed like I blow-dried my hair when really I had just let it air dry which is really nice. Another plus, this conditioner didn't make my hair tangly.
