I think this was a bonus product in the beautyheaven trial box, thank you! I love Nude by Nature products and usually keep an eye out for any new ones, but never saw this. First, I used the Nude by Nature primer, then my normal makeup application, followed by misting this setting spray. It is a fine gentle mist, and I love the finish it gave, nice and refreshing, not too scented, not too glowy. I also experimented with it by spraying it onto my eyeshadow brush before sweeping it over my eyeshadow. It intensified the colour on my eyelids, and helped it last much longer than usual, minimising that creasing and fading of eyeshadow colour that usually happens to me after a few hours. The only negative I have is that is was completely shrink-wrapped in plastic, which I think is just too much extra packaging. I understand it's for hygiene reasons, but perhaps it could be lessened if only the bottle cap was sealed. I am enjoying using this setting spray and will definitely purchase in the future!

Thanks to beautyheaven, I was able to try out this primer, which was already on my to-purchase list! I really love Nude by Nature for their cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and natural products, and this primer doesn't disappoint. It is designed to blur and mattify to minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines for a soft focus appearance. Perfect for my oily/combination skin, it spreads well and provides a good grip texture for makeup application. It really did work to minimise my pores, not completely, but well enough for my needs. I found I didn't need to touch up during the day, and breakthrough shine was also less than I normally experience. I think it will really make a difference to wearing makeup in the upcoming summer, when my skin really becomes quite oily. Need to take care not to apply too much, as then you will notice it does pill on the skin. Very happy with this primer and will definitely purchase in the future!

I was given this product as part of a beautyheaven trial box for Natural Beauty Month. The serum comes in a 20ml dropper bottle, and is a milky consistency. The instructions are to apply a few drops onto fingertips and gently pat onto face and neck, after cleansing. It claims to help brighten skin tone and improve the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation, as well as boost radiance and leave skin glowing and looking energised, I used it in the morning after cleansing, allowing it to sink in before layering it with a day cream. It absorbed very easily and didn't leave any residue. It did have a strange, musty citrus scent but it didn't last too long. Some vitamin C serums can be irritating, but this wasn't at all. I'm not sure I could see any visible effects after using this serum for a week, but I will continue to use it until it's finished. I believe there are other vitamin C serums that are more effective, but this would be a good one to start with, especially for those on a budget.

Thanks to Beautyheaven for the huge box of goodies to trial for Natural Beauty Month! I prefer to use natural, cruelty-free skincare, but must admit I haven't tried Weleda before. I was very pleasantly surprised by this moisturiser. At first I thought it would be too heavy for my oily/combination skin, but that wasn't the case at all. It comes in a 30ml tube and the product comes out easily, spreads well and is deeply moisturising without being greasy or oily. I used it in the mornings after cleansing, and found that it did indeed provide all-day hydration and a comfortable feel on my skin. I especially love the company's standards such as fair trade, zero micro plastics, cruelty-free, and responsible packaging. On the negative side, I would prefer it came in a bigger tube (less packaging in the long run) and it does have a strong alcohol scent, but it does dissipate quickly (alcohol is actually the third ingredient listed on the box, which does concern me). Not sure if I would buy it in the future, but am happy to continue using it until it's finished.

I was able to try out a whole bunch of goodies in a beautyheaven trial, and this was one of them. Dermal Therapy is known for its down-to-earth products for sensitive skins and this is a great everyday body lotion. It is formulated without sulphates, parabens, artificial colours or fragrances and claims to increase skin hydration by 50%. I especially like the fact that it has no petrochemicals in it, unlike a lot of other similar brands. It is a creamy lotion, not too thin or thick, and is very easy to use in a pump dispenser bottle. I use it after showering on slightly damp skin, and it absorbs quickly, leaving my skin soft and smooth. I find in winter especially, my legs get quite dry and itchy, and this was very soothing and relieving. It does have that "sorbolene" type of scent, but it dissipates quickly and therefore doesn't clash with any fragrance you might want to use. I found it very effective and would buy in the future.

Thanks to beautyheaven for inviting me to trial this product. This is a spray-on treatment designed to provide body and fullness to fine hair. It is sprayed into the roots on towel-dried hair and then dried and styled as desired. I was worried that it would dry very crunchy and stiff, but that wasn't the case at all - the first time I tried it, I left my hair to air-dry, and afterwards it felt quite soft, and easy to get a comb or brush through. I have fine, slightly wavy hair, and I definitely felt this treatment helped to give me a bit more body and bounce! I also love that this is made in Australia, contains no silicones, is cruelty-free and vegan. I also found that I could get an extra day or so between shampoos. It has a light, watery texture, not tacky or oily at all. Overall, I was quite impressed with this formula, and would purchase it in the future.

I was lucky to trial a big box of goodies from beautyheaven, and I have to say this was my favourite product! It's described as a natural retinol alternative (Bakuchiol) and claims to have the same anti-ageing benefits, but without the irritating side effects. Only a few drops of this oil are needed to cover the face and neck area. It comes in a dropper bottle for easy dispensing, and because of it's light texture, it spreads very evenly and is absorbed quickly. I used it at night after cleansing, and instantly my skin was smooth and soft, and in the morning my skin looked glowy and plumped up. It is also beautifully fragranced with natural rose geranium oil, which I found very relaxing and pampering! The only negative is that because of its thin texture, you have to apply it quickly before it drips through your fingers. I think it's too early to see any reduction in pigmentation and wrinkle depth, but I have already seen improvement in skin texture after a week. I will definitely consider purchasing it in the future.

Thanks to Beautyheaven for offering me the chance to trial the Burt’s Bees Lip Shine. I received the colour Blush, which looks quite rosy pink in the tube, but is a very sheer tint when applied to the lips. On me, the colour was barely discernible, but it was instantly smoothing and shiny. The texture is very glossy and thick, and smells very sweet and fruity. It did feel very soothing on the lips, but to be honest, I found the scent overpoweringly sickly sweet and the feel on my lips too sticky for me. I could tolerate it by using a minimal amount, but I much prefer the feel and texture of a waxy lip balm rather than a lip gloss. I really liked the packaging, it is a generous-sized tube, and a safety seal on the twist-off cap, so you know that it hasn’t been tampered with.

Thanks beautyheaven for including me in the trial team for the Dermaveen body lotion. It’s a thick sorbolene-type cream which is designed for sensitive skin. It has a medicinal scent which I found a bit unpleasant but willing to put up with. I found the cream sinks in really well especially after showering when the skin is a little bit damp still. I have very dry and bumpy skin on my upper arms and it’s really made a difference even after just a week of use. The skin is much smoother, less red bumps and it has relieved the itchiness and dryness. The pump bottle is very practical and comes in a generous size. I like to layer it with a different scented body lotion over the top to mask the smell a little bit, but that’s just me!

I received the Sebamed body wash as part of a beautyheaven trial team. It comes in a very generous 1 litre bottle, so it’s fantastic value and ideal for a large family - it even has a clear strip on the side of the white opaque bottle so you can see the level of the product that’s left inside. It is a pearly green colour with a strong herbal/ floral scent, a little bit overpowering for me. It claims to be suitable for face and body use. I was a little bit hesitant to use it on my face, but found it ok - I confess it’s much easier to use only one product top to toe! It’s designed for sensitive skin and ph balanced, and it does lather up very well and rinses off cleanly. My skin didn’t feel too dry afterwards and it doesn’t irritate or cause itchiness as some other body washes I’ve tried.
