Thank you to beauty heaven and FOREO for selecting me in this exciting and generous trial for the new Luna 3 cleansing device. I find myself now, with 3 young children, busier than ever and so anything that helps get the most out of the little time I have to spend on myself and my skincare routine is going to get my attention. The Luna 3 is a neat and super cute little powerhouse. Bright pink in colour, the device is lightweight and easy to store on the vanity or in its own little pouch that comes in the package. After a few initial technical hiccups with getting the device started, I was pleasantly surprised about just how easy the Luna 3 is to use. The initial charge only takes a couple of hours and the cable has USB connection, which means you can charge it from your PC or use your phone charger if you lose the plug-in part. After activating the device through the app, which is free to download, you can go ahead and start, there is just one “universal” button for turning it on and off. The cleansing part only takes a minute and the device even shuts itself off after that minute is up so you don,’t even have to do that. The pulsations are quite strong, but a pleasant sensation on the face as the tiny silicon fingers vibrate on your skin. The sound is a little noisy at first but I got used to it quickly. The device briefly stops pulsating at timed intervals to let you know to move on to the next part of your face, which is really clever. After cleansing your skin, the device is so easy to clean, just warm water and a bit of soap. After just one use my skin felt really smooth and with continued use I notice a real improvement in the texture of my skin. My pores are less noticeable and my skin looks more radiant and clear. I have really enjoyed this trial and would highly recommend Luna 3 to anyone wanting to invest in a cleansing device. The fact you don’t need to replace brush head parts every few months makes me feel even more inclined to recommend it, as there is less waste and no extra or ongoing outlay in cost.

I got the Touch of Glow Highlight Stick in the most recent beautorium rewards room. I was attracted to the brand because of the lack of nasty ingredients. I quite like the current Nudse by Nature makeup packaging, the rose gold looks pretty and this one is no exception. The twist up tube is easy to use and works really well for the stick application. The highlighter applies in a sheer, luminous layer. It is silky smooth, easy to blend and add more as needed. The result is a really flattering highlight, not overly bright or sparkly. As a bonus you can double task this little gem as a nice and light cream shadow for the eyes. It has fair staying power but considering the natural ingredients, I'm happy to accept the need for extra applications on a long or sweaty day. As mentioned above I got this as a reward but would happily spend the $25 to get this again.

I loved that the concealer was packaged in a compact tube with golden colour to match the lid of the foundation, it makes it easy to pop in a handbag, even a small clutch for touch ups later and it is appealing to have a luxe looking set.
The tube is a great option for a concealer because you just take off the lid, twist the base up and apply directly to he area or onto a brush.
This creamy concealer was so easy to use and applied smoothly onto my skin with a lightweight feel but gave good coverage to the areas I needed it, such as in the creases of my nose or on dark spots or other imperfections. It matched very well to the shade of he foundation I selected so it didn't look obvious that concealer had been applied. It wasn't really suitable for under my eyes on its own, alas I have dark circles that need correcting.
It lasted well too if set with a little powder but as mentioned above it is so easily kept in your bag for touch ups if needed.

Thank you to beautyheaven and nude by nature for the opportunity to review the Flawless liquid foundation for the trial team. I have never used a product from this brand before but have always been keen to try it out.
Firstly the appearance of the foundation bottle is lovely, it has a long golden coloured lid that covers most of the bottle and the bottom is translucent glass, the pump top is great for controlling how much you use each time and it is a Grus size. The only thing I didn't like about it was it had a slightly curved bottom, giving it a rounded appearance, but if I didn't put it down square on the flat part it would tip over and roll into my sink. Maybe that was just me though, I'm a bit of a klutz at times!
Unfortunately due to the limitations of using an online tool to select my shade, I picked one that was just a little too fair for me. I actually had to pick one lighter than I would've normally picked because there didn't seem to be a correct option in my base tone range, ie the next option was too dark. I still applied the foundation to get the feel of it and then next time I used it I ended up mixing it with a darker BB cream I had to get the shade a little closer to my skin.
I loved applying the soft, silky liquid using the brush supplied for the trial. It effortlessly buffed into my skin, giving me an even coverage. It gave good coverage with just a little product, but you could build it up applying another layer for fuller coverage. The finish was a natural looking matte appearance. My skin looked fresh and even and the foundation didn't dry out my already tired and slightly parched winter ski.
Overall I really loved the product and would recommend it. Being a bit of a stickler for natural products now this was a great opportunity.

Thank you to beautyheaven and In Essence for sending me the Skin Therapy Overnight Treatment Oil along with the Organic Camellia Treatment Oil to road test for the trial team! I'm now a facial oil convert being over 35 with mature skin that is prone to dryness, which of course exacerbate the signs of ageing.
This oil is meant for use as an overnight treatment as it contains a wealth of lovely nourishing oils that aim to restore the health and youthfulness of your skin while you sleep. The bottle is a lovely slimline glass one with a bright yellow colour that distinguishes it from the Camellia treatment oil. The silver screw top lid with dropper makes it so easy to control the dose you dispense onto your hand or onto your skin.
I used this nightly for a couple of weeks, applying to clean skin on my face and neck before my moisturiser, and sometimes with an added drop or two into my moisturiser if my skin was particularly dry. The oil is clear and lightweight, it is barely noticeable on my skin just a few seconds after applying it so no greasy feel or residue. The fragrance for this oil to me was almost imperceptible, which for a pregnant woman with superhuman smelling capabilities can be a blessing.
My dry skin really lapped up all the moisture this oil had to offer, as when I woke up in the morning my skin appeared hydrated and nourished, with less noticeable lines and no visible dry patches that tend to appear throughout the day, Over the past few weeks, the condition of my skin has definitely improved, with my skin looking less tired and aged than it did coming out of winter.
In conjunction with the Treatment Oil, this product has really done wonders for my dry skin. I am definitely going to keep using it, and given that you only need a couple of drops per application, I am sure the bottle will last for months, which makes this great value coming in at jut under $50 for a treatment product.

I have to admit I've never used an In Essence product before and since I recently decided to stick to natural and organic skin care products this was a great opportunity for me.
My skin has been on the dry side recently, coming out of winter and also being pregnant has for some reason left my skin feeling parched and looking tired. I have mostly been using facial oils in place of the "serum" or treatment step in my routine anyway so I wasn't nervous about using an oil on my skin.
I loved the bottle this oil comes in, it is a translucent glass slimline bottle with a lovely blue colour, a silver coloured screw top lid, which has a little button on top that allows you to dispense the oil from the dropper in a very controlled way. The only comment I could possibly make against this design is that the blue colour to me was more intuitively suited to the "overnight" treatment oil (which is in a yellow version of the bottle).
The oil itself is very light and clear. I dispensed a couple of drops on my hand and then patted or gently rubbed into the skin on my face and neck. It absorbed so readily and left no trace of oil on my skin. The fragrance was quite pleasant, a light floral scent that didn't linger or cause discomfort.
After using this treatment oil for a couple of weeks I am pleased to say my skin has really improved. The dryness is less noticeable and also my skin feels more smooth and is more youthful looking with less noticeable lines.
This ticks all the boxes for me in terms of a treatment that is natural and organic and has really helped the condition of my skin to improve. I would definitely continue to use this in my skincare routine and recommend it to others who have similar skin concerns.

Thanks to Burt's Bees and beautyheaven for sending me the 100% Natural Lipstick to try as part of the trial team. I'm jumped at the chance to try this natural product as I'm trying to steer clear of nasties in my skincare and makeup these days. The plastic casing for this lip pie is cute, a square shape in matte brown and with honeycomb cut out design on the lid. It works like a normal lipstick, twisting at the bottom. The shade was a nice match to the the lip crayon I was sent, a blush/ nude with a matte finish. It was a flattering colour that can be worn every day. The lip colour went on with a creamy texture and felt smooth on the lips. The colour isn't heavily pigmented so you need to apply a couple of coats to get the full effect of the colour. My lips stayed well hydrated and didn't feel sticky or dry after time, however the colour faded quite quickly and needed reapplication throughout the day. Overall this was an enjoyable product to use, I'd love to try out other shades. Would recommend it if you like natural alternatives to mainstream makeup products.

Thanks to Burt's Bees and beautyheaven for sending me the 100% Natural Lip Crayon to try as part of the trial team. I was very keen to try out the 100% Natural range by Burt's Bees as I prefer to stick to natural ingredients in my skin care and makeup. I was sent the lip crayon in Sedona Sands (405), which is a nude/ dusky colour. The crayon comes encased in a brown plastic tube, with wind up mechanism on the bottom. The lid has a cute clear plastic bee-hive hexagonal motif and protects the top of the crayon , which is gently tapered like a crayon tip. The lip crayon is very easy to apply, it glides over the lips providing a sheer matte colour. It is a flattering colour and looks very natural and the colour is build-able with more applications. The crayon initially feels quite moisturising and doesn't leave a tacky feeling on the lips. Unfortunately as my lips have been quite dry over winter I found that over a couple of hours the crayon seemed to fast-track the feeling of dryness on my lips and rather than re-apply the crayon, I needed a hydrating balm. Usually that dried out feeling comes with a long-lasting lipstick, however this crayon doesn't provide much staying power, with fade/wear a drawback of choosing a crayon rather than a lipstick. I'm keen to try again with this product when my lips feel a little more hydrated in the warmer months.

I am really happy to own the ghd Air hairdryer. I blow dry my hair about once a week nowadays and this is definitely the most efficient hairdryer I have ever owned. It is lightweight and so easy to manoeuvre around your head, with either hand. It is really powerful too, my hair dries really quickly so I don't need to spend 30 minutes drying and styling. It creates a nice, sleek finish and diminishes the frizzy/flyaway appearance of my hair when I don't use the hairdryer. Given it's power, a nice surprise about the ghd Air is how quiet it is. Hairdryers are obviously noisy things but this one is probably the least noisy I've ever used, which is really handy if I have to wash and dry my hair at night and I don't want to wake the kids. Another one of the things I really love about the ghd Air is the long cord, it is clearly made for in-salon use with such a long cord, however it also works well for me because if I'm drying my hair in the bathroom, I can walk into the hallway and make sure the kids aren't getting into too much mischief! I can see how the cord could be a downside for some people though if they have limited space. Occasionally it gets caught on drawer handles but that to me is only a minor nuisance. Overall I would say this hairdryer is the best I've owned. So far I've had it for a year or so and it has been great. Definitely worth the investment.

Thanks beautyheaven and Pantene Pro-V for sending me the Colour Protection shampoo along with the Miracle Conditioner to test out for the trial team. My hair is coloured red, so prone to fade and damage. It is also frizzy at times, can get greasy at the roots and dry on the ends. The shampoo comes in a generous sized bottle that has a flip top lid for ease of use. The actual shampoo itself is very thick and almost stretchy! I found it hard not to squeeze too much out as the nozzle is quite wide, presumably to let the thick liquid through. It worked up very quickly and easily into a rich and creamy lather, which seems like a desirable quality for a shampoo, however among the first ingredients listed are SLS's, which are bad news in terms of being detergent-like and made from nasty ingredients. The fragrance is that iconic, unmistakeable Pantene scent, which once upon a time I loved and would sniff my hair all day after a shampoo. But now when I smell synthetic fragrances I actually get turned off, knowing what they're made of and how they can affect our bodies! My hair did feel nice and clean after using it, and it didn't feel dried out even before I put the conditioner on. Being a couple of months since my hair has been coloured it is already pretty faded , so I can't really comment too accurately on whether it would protect colour but I suspect that given my hair felt like it needed a shampoo on the second day after washing, my colour would have faded pretty rapidly anyway from frequent washing. These days I try to shampoo my hair only once a week and use a dry shampoo on the last couple of days to refresh it a little. With this shampoo/conditioner I would not be able to stretch out the wash for more than 3 days, meaning I'd have to wash my hair at least 2-3 times per week. For me, having 2 small kids at home, a shower is an opportunity I don't get every day, so washing my hair that frequently would be virtually impossible. Sorry Pantene, but my love for you has to stay in the past. Probably not something I'd purchase or recommend for others with hair symptoms like mine.
