My hair has been looking pretty average for some time now, but lately it has been looking thinner more lacklustre than ever. I thought it was just getting older and there was not much I could do about it besides eating healthy, but thanks to being able to use this conditioner and the matching shampoo, my hair looks better than ever! I love that it is Aussie made, free of parabens, alcohols and dyes, and if the matching shampoo was sulphate-free then my whole family could use them both (my daughter is against using sulphates in her hair so didn’t want to try the shampoo). The pump bottle is greatly appreciated. I love being able to quickly and easily use products in the shower, and it’s a huge incentive if packaging has a pump top. I use two to three small pumps for my long hair, which is less than the amount I usually squeeze out of bottles/tubes of many other brands. I like having the control of the pump to not overdo it, which can be easy to do. It has a light fragrance which is pleasant, and it washes out easily which is important as I have noticed my scalp being healthier due to less build up (and spending less time rinsing means I use less water!). Overall, my hair looks and feels looks and feels better than it has in years, thanks to using this in conjunction with the matching shampoo. It is easier to brush, less frizzy, shinier, stronger with less breakage, and as hoped looks more voluminous and full. It has gone from frizzy yet limp and thin, to soft, thick and full; as if I doubled the amount of hair strands. It’s amazing, and my hair also stays soft and decently full if not using for a couple of days, so it’s fantastic for those who don’t like to wash and condition every night. I am thrilled with this salon-quality conditioner and will continue to use it. If they ever come out with a sulphate-free version of the matching shampoo, I want to try it pronto so my daughter can enjoy both products together too. I recommend this to anyone who wants hair that’s healthy, lifted and full of life at a fantastic price.

I only need one pump for my long hair, which is most impressive as it’s not a lot at all. I suppose the sulphates make a difference in how much this foams up as it’s a big amount, but I would like to see a sulphate-free version and how it would fare in comparison as it is already paraben, alcohol and dye free which I appreciate. The fragrance is pleasant; not too strong or offensive in any way. I have a fairly muted sense of smell so I barely noticed it, which indicates it’s certainly not strong or overbearing. When using this shampoo, my hair feels lovely and clean. It rinses out easily and my scalp, which can be prone to being either oily, or dry, flaky and itchy depending on the season, has improved which was unexpected. Overall, my hair looks and feels looks and feels better than it has in years, thanks to using this in conjunction with the matching conditioner. I hadn’t tried an eye cream with a metal “cooling applicator” tip before so I was excited to see what difference it would make to my regular eye cream step in my routine. The instructions state to squeeze the product onto the tip of the ring finger and dot around the eyes. The cooling applicator is then used to de-puff and gently massage the product into the skin. I found the tip to be lovely and cooling, and it definitely gave me and instant appearance of being more awake and refreshed. It is especially beneficial in mornings after poor quality sleep. The eye cream has a beautiful lightweight, creamy texture which melts into the skin with ease. It feels I experienced no irritation and am glad there is no discernible scent as a strong or unpleasant fragrance can be very off-putting no matter the positive effects of the product. In the 4 weeks that I used this, I had noticeable improvement beyond the instant de-puffing and brightening from the cooling applicator. I have dark circles due to genetics, but lifestyle and age has increased their severity. This cream has actually rewound the clock some, making them less obvious and making me appear less tired and zombie-esque. The fine lines around my eyes have also improved, appearing less defined. If I had to change one thing it would be the way these particular applicators are designed in general. I like to keep my skincare as clean and fresh as possible, so applicators touching skin are not ideal. Dispensing product is one thing, but to then have the applicator with the open hole being massaged into the skin seems like a way to increase the possibility of it being contaminated, even if it is minute. I would love if the applicator was a separate lid, one that screwed onto the main tube. Eg. the main tube would have a narrow plastic tip to dispense, with the cooling applicator tip screwing onto that, with the current clear plastic lid onto that. Basically, the product would look the same except the cooling applicator would not have the hole in it to dispense product, it would be removed to access the narrow tip dispenser. That way, the product could be dispensed onto the fingertip as intended, then sealed away safely before using the cooling metal tip. This would mean the metal tip could be washed without any chance of water/disinfectant getting into the product tube and ruining the formula. It could also be removed and placed in the freezer for extra cooling without ruining the formula. (After writing this, I had a more intimate look at the applicator and it does have a narrow plastic tube under it, but it doesn’t come off or reattach easily as it isn’t intended to. It seems it could be tweaked to screw properly and to remove the hole in the metal tip, but I do understand there is most likely a good reason this isn’t already a feature, I just state what I personally would find beneficial.) I highly recommend this eye cream to anyone who can afford it. It’s unfortunate that there aren’t always cheaper alternatives that work just as well, but that’s what makes this worth it in my experience so far. If I find myself in a better position financially, I will certainly be including this in my routine to see long-term improvement.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try these Visible Brightening Spot Correcting Night Capsules by Elizabeth Arden. I had been interested in trying skincare capsules for a while now as the concept intrigued me, so it was very exciting to discover why capsules are so special. I can now say I can see the brilliance of such an invention, and not just in my skin. I found it exciting to take out a soft capsule every night. I love how easy they are to open; just a couple of twists of the tab and the round, squishy, capsule is open. I also love the beautiful refreshing citrus scent. It isn’t overbearing and I think it’s fantastic that it is not an added fragrance, which can cause irritation to some. I was surprised and delighted at the texture. I thought it would be a more watery type serum which might be a bit messy, possibly dripping when squeezing the capsule so there was no issues with consistency. The serum has a unique feel, one I’ve not experienced with a serum before. It’s smooth and has a somewhat-dense gel-like consistency which then seems almost matte-like when applied. It doesn’t leave a heavy or wet feeling on the skin as it’s so lightweight, and also doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. It absorbs without effort in a short amount of time and works well with other skincare products. The amount in the capsule is perfect for the entire face and neck. I loved not having to wonder if I was using too much or not enough. It makes it so simple while keeping the product extra fresh with no chance of contamination. I also love the portability of them. If going away for any amount of time, one can take the required number of capsules and keep them in a sealed container rather than take the whole jar. After using nightly for 4 weeks, these capsules have made a noticeable change. My skin is definitely brighter and more even. Stubborn dark spots, including plenty of acne scarring on cheeks and chin, have faded slightly which is most impressive as I’ve had minimal results trying different products over the years. My skin also looks and feels healthier, with improved elasticity and also less breakouts meaning less possible future scarring. These Visible Brightening Spot Correcting Night Capsules are definitely effective and I would love to see results with long-term use, as well as try other varieties of skincare capsules by Elizabeth Arden. I am now a huge fan and recommend anyone aiming for healthy, glowing, clear and smooth skin to try these.

As someone with oily combination skin that is acne prone, I prefer my moisturisers to be lightweight. This has the absolute perfect consistency for me and as soon as I felt it, (and smelled it, so good!) I was very excited. I have trouble finding moisturisers that not only feel good on the skin, but are also effective and don’t cause me to break out and this cream ticks all the right boxes. First of all, I love the packaging. The way the opening is smaller than the sides of the tub, unlike most packaging which has the same size hole as the sides, makes this unique and stand out from other moisturisers. The pale green plastic body appears to be high quality, with an almost pearl-like shine to it; very luxurious. The main lid opens easily with a few twists and the opening is covered with a plastic lift-out lid to ensure is it kept fresh and hygienic. The one thing I would improve though is the addition of a small spatula type thing for scooping the product out. I have a few I keep handy from previous products that came with one, so I used one of those. I find it more hygienic to not stick my fingers in a product, even though my hands are freshly washed, and the spatula also makes it easier to get the product out. This is just personal preference but a suggestion nonetheless. I absolutely love the scent! I’m not sure what it is exactly (Rose Myrtle is an ingredient so possibly partly that?) but it smells herbal with some floral and perhaps citrus notes mixed in. It’s beautiful and I thoroughly enjoy it. I love that it’s packed with loads of amazing ingredients which benefit my oily combination skin. For moisturising and protecting the skin barrier we have Red Seaweed, Squalane and Apricot Kernel Oil, and for balancing and soothing acne-prone skin we have Bisabolol, Ceramide and Rose Myrtle which also help improve the appearance of blemishes. The cream has a lovely lightweight and smooth consistency, almost gel-like, and is free of any greasiness or stickiness. It feels refreshingly cooling and soothing on my skin, causing no irritation whatsoever, and spreads easily with a decent amount of slip before absorbing beautifully with ease. Being a thinner texture a little goes a long way, but at the same time if much more is used it has no trouble with absorbing. There’s no issue with it sitting on the skin for ages or leaving an unpleasant residue. I experienced no irritation whatsoever. It’s a hydrating drink for my skin and applying it is a highly enjoyable experience. Since using the cream my skin has actually had less break outs, which is truly impressive and not the norm when it comes to using moisturising creams. My skin feels hydrated and soft, and the amount of excess sebum has reduced significantly. I am greatly impressed with this cream and am thrilled I have this as a moisturiser option for the future. As the weather heats up, this will be perfect for cooling my skin as well as reducing the oiliness and adequately hydrating. If you have oily and/or combination skin or are prone to acne, I highly recommend you try this cream. The scent alone is worth it.

First of all, the packaging is quite impressive. The tube is squeezable which makes getting the last bits of the product out easier, and the pump top makes dispensing the product not only easy but also hygienic. I haven’t used an eye cream with this style packaging before and I think it’s brilliant. One negative I did find was that the pump didn’t have the ability to control as much as I would expect. I don’t know if I got a dodgy one or if it’s the way it was manufactured, but there’s no way to push the pump halfway to dispense the right amount; it was either a tiny bit which dispensed an amount the size of a match head, or full which was far too much for both eyes. I ended up doing three fraction pumps for each eye which was the perfect amount to cover the entire area. If the pump mechanism is like this for every eye cream then I suggest dispensing the tiniest bit until you get enough as the full pump is unnecessary. I love that this product is made in Australia, with the ingredients being sourced from potent native plants and botanicals in Australia too. It is jam packed with natural ingredients and is suitable for sensitive skin, making this something anyone can use! I certainly felt no irritation whatsoever. The texture is exactly how I like an eye cream to be; perfectly creamy and nourishing. It isn’t too thick or too thin, soaks in quickly and easily, and has no sticky or greasy residue. A little goes a long way too; I found using the tiniest bit was enough to cover both my under and around my eyes where needed. The scent is interesting and not something I have experienced before. To be completely honest, at first I hated the smell. I couldn’t stand it and was sure that I wouldn’t buy this again unless it performed miracles. After a few uses, that changed though. Now? I absolutely love it and can’t get enough it! I have no idea what it is, if it’s the Meadowfoam Seed Oil or one of the many fruit and flower extracts, but whatever it is I thoroughly enjoy it. It is quite strong at first but weakens a little while after being applied. I have some wrinkles around my eyes, and dark circles which are unfortunately genetic and here to stray (my poor kids inherited them too!). I don’t expect any product to have much of an, or any, effect on the dark circles so I am surprised that I see a very slight lightening of them. Possibly not noticeable to anyone but myself but definitely made a difference so for those with non-genetic dark circles I can see this working some magic. My under eye area is also sunken and immediately after applying the cream it is nicely hydrated and fuller. With more use I noticed the effect to persist, so I’m excited to see how I look after finishing the product. In regards to my wrinkles, it didn’t get rid of them of course (it would be a real miracle if that happened in such a short time!) but I have noticed a slight reduction in those as well as my fine lines. I am really impressed with this eye cream and would love to continue using it for a while longer to see how my eyes improve over time. I wasn’t expecting it to be as effective as it has been, as I haven’t had much luck with eye creams in the past, so I am thrilled that I got the opportunity to try this one. It does a bit of everything so I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to improve their eye area. It would also be helpful to those without any visible signs of ageing, just to nourish the skin and keep it healthy to help lessen or prevent issues as you age.

I'm always on the hunt for the best sunscreen, and I tried this one after experiencing some eye irritation using the regular version (pink bottle). I love the pink bottle version so hoped this would be the same but without any leaking into my eyes. So far, I'm actually liking this one better! It absorbs nicely, isn't thick and greasy, and most importantly works without irritation. I have noticed a very slight increase in congestion but I would rather deal with that than watery eyes due to stinging while I'm driving to pick up my daughter from school. Not fun! I also found that this version doesn't have the strange clumping in the lid that the pink version has (the other one always gets a hardened clump in the lid, which is closed properly, so every time I use it I have to dispose of the clump to get to the product.) Not a huge issue but worth noting.

This was the first Cancer Council sunscreen that I used and it is now one of my favourites, with the waterproof grey bottle version being slightly better for my needs. It isn't greasy or thick, it absorbs nicely without leaving a white cast or making it apparent that sunscreen is being worn, and it's matte enough for my oily combination skin. I recently tried the grey bottle waterproof version as I have been getting some irritation in my eyes lately, so thought it would be better to use a version that would be less likely to move, and they are very similar but for now I prefer the grey version. I do think this one is slightly nicer on my acne prone skin though, with a smaller amount of congestion. One issue is that this version always gets a hardened clump in the lid, which is closed properly, so every time I use it I have to dispose of the clump to get to the product. (I haven't experienced it with the grey version yet). Not a huge issue but worth noting.

I discovered the existence of crystal deodorants years ago when an old friend said they used them so their perfume wouldn't clash with the fragrance from the deodorant. I was sceptical of how well such a thing would work, and tried another brand but in a spray version (as I prefer spray deodorants) and wasn't overly impressed. Some time later I saw this and thought I'd give it a go as I hadn't tried the stick version or this brand at all. That was well over a year ago and I've only recently bought my second stick. I'm not sure what kind of magic this is but I haven't had any body odour since using it. Traditional deodorants I would have to reapply multiple times during the day due to starting to smell, and even the other brand I tried didn't cut it for a whole day like this one does. Now I can sweat and not worry! I honestly can't believe how well it works, and how long the stick lasts. It's also simple to use, after having a shower or bath I dry myself then grab the stick next to the sink and run it under the tap for a moment. I then use it on my armpit and wet it again to do the other pit so there's plenty of slip when rolling it over the whole area. I then leave it with the lid off so it can dry. I love how because it's fragrance free I can wear any perfume or body spray without different scents clashing. I also didn't realise how much aluminium deodorant caused body odour to be worse, also, until I used this. I read some people experience a detox when they switch from using traditional deodorants, with extra odour as the body purges the nasty ingredients, but I didn't experience any of that myself. I was very lucky to be rid of body odour as soon as I started using this. Every body is different and it might not work as well for others, but I do recommend giving it a go for at least a month. If your body purges you can wash your armpits and reapply each time to get through it. You will be amazed when this does work for you and it's worth it.

I got a sample of this with an online pharmacy order and I'm very glad I did as I might never have tried it otherwise. I used it on my 8 year old daughter's recent arm "rash" which has been uncomfortable for her; red, slightly swollen and sore. This soothed it and she was very happy! The smell is incredible, good enough to eat. I love mint and I kept smelling it after and inhaling its delicious aroma. We actually have mint essential oil going in the diffuser so I'm definitely a mint fan. It's the best smelling cream I've ever used. It's the perfect consistency, not too thick or liquidy. It isn't greasy, absorbs nicely while soothing long after. I used the remainder that was on my hands (after applying to my daughter's skin) on the back of my hands which are dry and it was lovely. Even though it's for ages 0-12, I can see it being useful for myself. I will be buying the full size for my kids and I.
