Today I finished a bar of Garnier Frutis Volumising Shampoo (Watermelon Hair Food). The pale peachy-pink bar came in a cardboard box which I used to house the shampoo bar after every use so that it did not stay in a moist environment when other people in my home had their showers. The watermelon scent is strong and you could smell it each time you opened the box. The shampoo was really easy to use. When I wanted to wash my hair, I would take the shampoo bar with me. I would wet my hair in the shower and then rub the shampoo bar into my scalp a few times, placed the bar on the shelf in the shower then massaged it. The shampoo foamed up like normal shampoo and then I rinsed it and repeated if needed. The shampoo did exactly what the common liquid shampoos did, therefore I did not feel like I was missing out on any of the benefits of standard shampoo. The only issue is that it gets a little tricky to use when the bar is almost gone! This is a great product and I highly recommend it and is one of the simplest ways to get rid of a bit of extra plastic waste in your life. Made in France.

The Loreal Sugar Scrubs Nourishing Scrub with Cocoa Butter smells delicious once you open the golden metallic cardboard box and the clear glass jar which it is housed in. I applied this product to a wet face and then massaged it in. The exfoliation is gentle yet thorough. It is gentle enough to use every second day and the base actually felt moisturising rather than harsh and stripping the natural oils from my skin. This is a great scrub for frequent use and I really did enjoy using this product. Made in Germany.

The Loreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Cream comes in a lovely matte metallic golden box and inside is a midnight black glass jar with the classic loreal golden screw top lid. The cream inside is a creamy white colour, the scent in non-descript yet fresh. The texture is thick and it keeps the shape of how you have left it when you last used it. The cream absorbs well upon application and soaks into your skin within seconds leaving me a with a feeling of hydration and softness without any heaviness or wetness which are left with some other creams. This is quality cream and with prolonged use my skin generally feels softer. I could not see on the box where this was made.

I bought the Loreal Age perfect golden age rosy eye cream along with the day cream as I was attracted to the word rosy. It came in a lovely metallic box and the classic Loreal boxy glass jar with a gold screw top lid. Like it's face cream companion, this cream had a rosy colour and left a rosy colour on the skin but unlike the face cream the rosy colour left on the skin was not overpowering. There is a hardly detectable scent which is good for an eye cream. Upon application the cream soaked in well, leaving my skin looking hydrated and plumper. The cream claims to correct dark circles and I do have large dark circles and I did not notice a different in their colour which I am not surprised by. Overall I am happy with the feel of the cream, they hydration and the plumpness which is provides. Made in Germany

I love to try a new product and when I saw the Loreal Age Perfect Golden Age Rosy Day Cream I wanted to try it, especially since it had the word Rosy in it and it's rosy metallic look coloured box. Like most Loreal products the cream was housed in a boxy glass jar with a gold lid. The cream itself was lovely, the subtle scent was not overpowering and it cream just glided on so well making my skin feel nourished and protected. But there was a but.... the cream had a rosy tint which I thought would be ok.... I was wrong. The rosy tint on my very fair skin made it look like I had sun burn or an allergic reaction to the cream which was not a good look. Therefore any benefits or nice benefits from using this cream disappeared out the window with the 'rosy tint'. I tried this cream a few times and tried to use the smallest amount possible whilst getting enough on my skin to provide the right protection for my skin but I could not get away with the colour, my friends and family also agreed that it was not a good look for me. So I ended up giving it away to someone with a darker skin tone. Made in Germany

Intense Nutrition is what I was looking for and Intense Nutrition is what this L'Oreal Age Perfect Intense Nutrition Rich Repairing Cream (Night) delivers. This cream comes in a brown glass jar and plastic lid with gold detailing. The cream is very thick and has a peachy colour. There is a noticeable fragrance which I cannot place. Though it is a rich texture, this cream still absorbed very well giving me a strong sense of nourishment leaving my skin feeling refreshed and smooth. This cream is especially good when my skin is feeling dry in the winter and windy months and works well replacing the moisture loss due to the weather. Made in Germany.

Nivea Naturally Good Organic Aloe Vera Day Cream Radiance was chosen as light natural alternative to other creams. The scent is the usual Nivea scent which is familiar and nice. The white coloured cream is smooth, feels rich, glides on effortlessly and absorbed well without leaving any noticeable residue and did not block any pores. I found this cream to be hydrating and it felt fresh on my skin and it can be used with sunscreen, primer and or foundation and did not contribute to any feeling of adding layers of products to my face. Made in Poland.

The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF 50+ is invisible just as it says. The Fluid Sunscreen comes in a small packet which is easy to carry around and has a mixer bead inside to make shaking to mix fast and easy. The liquid formula is easy to dispense from the small hole at the top of the bottle. This sunscreen has no scent added, it is lightweight, non-greasy and does not clog pores. It absorbs really fast and I used it daily under makeup as you cannot feel it under your foundation. This is a really great sunscreen and I would rebuy this often if it was more affordable as it a quality product. Made in France

Always in need of a nourishing cream for night time use I bought the Neutrogena Bright Boost Overnight Gel Cream. The packaging is pretty pink plastic with a white twist lid. The gel cream does have a white gel appearance and is soft enough that you it settles to appear untouched after each use. The scent is soft and pleasant and it applied well. Unfortunately I found that the cream did not fully absorb and left my face feeling a little bit tacky and my face stuck to my pillow at night. Even though I find the finish a little sticky have continued to use the cream to finish the packet. With weeks of use, I can confirm that this gel cream is nourishing and does not clog pores.

What caught my eye in store was the unique shape of the L'oreal Unlimited Mascara bottle. I found that the ability to bend the brush handle was not that useful to me but everyone is different and some may like that feature. The mascara wand brush was a cone of silicon bristles whilst the formula was a liquid mascara. I found the mascara wand very easy to use, the shape allowed me to get mascara to my shortest lashes with an even coating. The brush was well shaped so that my lashes were well separated after application without any clumps and with great volume. The mascara lasted all day with no flaking or running.
