I was excited to see the Clinique moisture surge active glow serum at the Beauty Heaven event. Clinique is a well known and trustworthy brand that always has great products. I have mature skin and over the years it has become more dull which is why I am more focused on using products that will brighten my skin and provide a youthful glow. After I have washed my face I apply the glow serum onto my damp skin. It sinks into my skin so effortlessly and feels so comfortable. I was worried that the active ingredient, lactic acid, might irritate my skin but thankfully everything was fine. It also layers well with my other skincare products.

I don't believe I have ever used a scalp scrub before until trying out the marine beauty scalp scrub that I received at the Beauty Heaven event. The scrub comes in a tube that you squeeze out and apply directly onto your scalp with your hands. I use a lot of different hair styling products throughout the week, some of which include hair gel, oils, serums, leave in creams and hairspray. A scalp scrub to help remove the build up and residue would be a good thing. The ingredients include spirulina, rosemary leaf oil and marine collagen. I followed the directions and massaged the scrub into my scalp. My scalp felt clean and balanced after rinsing it out.

I was so happy to see this at the Beauty Heaven event because I had seen this online and was curious about it. I was really hoping to try this out as a foundation stick but unfortunately the colours they had at the event were either too dark or too light. I got the warm, bronze shade and I was very happy with my choice. The stick glides like butter and is beginner friendly. You can be precise with your application as you can apply it directly onto your face. I used it around my forehead, cheeks and on my nose and blended away. The end result was amazing!

While the packaging is not the most appealing or feminine looking it does what it's supposed to. I am always using my hands for so many different things like washing the dishes, cooking, gardening, yard work and cleaning around the house. My hands need care and with all the hand washing I do my hands can get neglected. The tough hands hand cream moisturises my hands instantly and helps to repair my dry hands. I get cracked hands and fingers and this does the trick. I keep it by my bedside as a reminder to use it everyday.

I have always ever been a powder blush kind of person and didn't think I would be good at using a liquid or serum blush. Nude by Nature's serum blush drops were fun to try and made me realise that I can also use these types of products and it's not as hard or complicated as it seems. The colour looks nice but not as pigmented as I was expecting. Although I think it's more forgiving that way because if it's too pigmented then you have to be careful with how much you put on. Adding more of the blush to build up coverage is possible.

At the recent Beauty Heaven event I received the Burts Bees tinted lip balm in the colour called Red Dahlia. It's such a beautiful colour. I like that the colour looks natural on my lips. If your lips need moisture the tinted lip balm has got you covered. It contains hydrating, natural ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax. There is no sticky feeling when you put it on, it's so lightweight. I like this for work because I don't always have time for makeup and just adding some colour to my lips makes me look and feel more professional.

A great new hair dryer from Remington that is just as good as the high end ones that I have used. As always, the Beauty Heaven events always provide some of the best and latest beauty products and was absolutely thrilled to put this to the test. I style my hair several times a week and a blow dryer that will dry my hair in a short amount of time and minimise frizz is a must. It contains ionic air technology and works quickly to dry your hair whilst minimising heat damage. I thought the small size meant that it would take longer but in fact it was the opposite. My hair dried very quickly, I was very impressed.

I style my hair the old fashioned way with a blow dryer first and then a straightener second. The air styler allows you to dry your wet or damp hair all with the same tool. Personally, I think it's a nice option to have but I don't think it could ever replace a blow dryer - the blow dryer is a much faster and easier option. However, this would suffice for those who just want one hot tool. After trying it out, I found that it took a long time to actually dry my damp hair. Also, my hair still had a bit of frizz too so maybe not the best for my hair type. As a straightener it worked really well. Focusing on the design, it's very nice and aesthetically pleasing.

I attended the Beauty Heaven event and received the Dermal Therapy overnight face repair cream. As I have mature skin that leans more on the dry side I knew this would be a product I would enjoy. It is thick and moisturising but non comedogenic. The lovely Dermal Therapy representative who I spoke to at the event said it can also be used as a barrier cream which helps to retain moisture. The hydration is immediate when you apply it. It's also Australian made and owned and I'm always trying to support Aussie made products whenever I can.

There's a reason why this a top selling lip balm. I noticed an improvement in my lips within two days after using it. My mature lips felt soft and smooth. I think it can also be used as a lip mask or as a hydrating base before applying your lipstick so it goes on smoothly. Now I am not a regular lip balm user and it's something I'm not consistent about but this makes it really easy and convenient to use. It's a hydrating lip balm and feels comfortable on the lips. Not thick yet not runny, good consistency and goes on evenly.
