I believe the first exfoliating gloves I ever owned were Manicare. And that was a long time ago. They are well-made and come in a variety of pleasing colours. Over the years, I have bought cheaper gloves (sorry!), as longevity wasn’t always top of my priority list, but the cheaper ones would always turn to rags so quickly, and I would always remind myself to go back and invest in a pair of Manicare gloves, because the quality was always second to none. Using them for the first time in a while, I was reminded of why I loved them originally. They fit beautifully, and aren’t to thick, so they don’t slide around when you’re using them. They also don’t sag after use, keeping their form and therefore keeping their ease of use. And they don’t fall to pieces after a couple of months. They aren’t too rough or too soft, just the right amount of scrub for thorough job. These are well-made exfoliating gloves and definitely worth investing in - your body will thank you!

This is a cute little sponge, and generally I liked the feeling of this sponge, but found it was a little too soft for my preference. It was also too small and awkward for my hand. My hand was bigger than the mitt. so my fingers were sticking out over the edge. Also every time I tried to move it around my body, my hand would slip through the flimsy strap, so I would have to keep repositioning it. Make it a little bigger, with a mitt-style to put your hand in, and I would use this more often, definitely.

I was looking forward to trying the Manicare Crystal Hair Remover, because as someone who shaves their legs everyday (I hate the feeling of stubble in bed! :D), I was hoping this might give me the same results but without needing to shower. Unfortunately I just didn’t get the completely smooth result I get when I shave. I was still left with bits of stubble. It may be that the Crystal only works with very fine hair, or that it has to be longer, but the results weren’t what I’d like to use this regularly. A novel idea, and perhaps good for people with sparse, fine hair.

I have been solely using the Intuition razors since they were first released, probably about 10+ years ago. I can’t go back to regular razors, because these are so perfect for someone like me, who likes to shave their legs every day. The soap being attached to the razor is genius, and it really does work. You don’t need to lather yourself before you shave with this, just wet the soap a little to soften it and away you go. Your legs feel really smooth and moisturised after using the Intuition razor. The only downside that really annoys me is sometimes the soap breaks and falls off while you’re using it, rendering the razor pretty much useless. You could try to use it like a normal razor if this happens, but because there are plastic bits surrounding the razor that were keeping the soap in place, they can scratch you up a little. Very frustrating. Having said that though, I still put up with the occasional dud because this is the fastest way to shave, hands down.

I received some samples of this product not long after it had been released. I had been experiencing some nasty odours “down there” and was dying to try Vagisil to combat this problem. I followed the instructions to the letter, put a small amount in my palm and did the whole wash thing without getting too specific. As I shower at night, I went to bed soon after and was excited to awaken with an itch and smell-free vagina. Boy, did I get a wake up call! The next morning I went to the toilet and the smell was worse than before! I couldn’t believe it! It was as though the Vagisil had exacerbated my condition. But I wasn’t going to give up so soon, so I kept using it as directed. And every time I had the same smelly result! I had to give up. I genuinely thought that because this particular product was ph balanced, it wouldn’t irritate my delicate area, but it literally made it unbalanced! Never again.

I have been using Nair depilatory cream since I first saw my mum applying it back in the 90’s - it’s a family staple. Back then it was smelly and harsh, now, Nair has THIS great product, which is not too smelly AND not too harsh! I smear it on my upper lip every few weeks. Unfortunately I have to let the regrowth get a bit longer due to ingrown hairs that create little whitehead pimples :( I leave it on for about 10 minutes, which is probably a bit too long, but I want to make sure all those suckers are 100% dead! I then wipe it off with a tissue, which might be a bit rough for some, but I use it as a bit of an exfoliant. It does what it’s supposed to - removes unwanted hair. I have also used it on my slightly hairy hands and it’s REALLY good for that area.

I absolutely love this eyeliner. Not only is it creamy so the colour payoff is excellent, but the thin design makes it perfect for building up your look. The amount you get is not much, considering it is the same length as other eyeliners but half the thickness; but if you can get it at Priceline or Chemist Warehouse when they have half price sales, it’s a steal. I specifically use this eyeliner for my waterline. It’s the perfect size and consistency for getting into the small gaps between your eyelashes, which is what you want if you are using false eyelashes and/or a wing.

This is one of the top 5 mascaras I have ever used! I’m a mascara hoarder. If I see a mascara on sale, I just buy it, always searching for the PERFECT one. The one that’s going to make my eyes magically almond shaped with no hooded lids and 1 inch long lashes. Obviously, this is impossible, but with every new mascara, I always gravitate back to the Colossal BIG SHOT. It gives the most volume and length of any mascara in my collection, from high end to chemist bought. It can be mildly clumpy (I’m talking little baby clumps), where you need to go over your lashes a couple of times to smooth them out, but I think this is going to happen with any mascara that has this much thickness payoff. Legit, this mascara is going to get you as close to looking like you have falsies on as most mascaras.

If you want to go any cool shade - blue, purple, green - DON’T BOTHER. I used the Blue Washout in January and STILL have tinges of green in my blonde balayage! I’ve tried the Colorista Fader Shampoo AND violet toner shampoo and NOTHING gets rid of it (besides bleaching, which I can’t yet afford). When I first put the colour in I had to use 2 tubes, as I have thick, long hair. It went very dark. When it faded the lighter desired blue lasted for only a couple of washes before it turned a revolting shade of semi-fluorescent green. I looked online to find tips and tricks and yeah, nothing worked. I am yet to try any of the warm colours; but they seem to have better results. So this is really only an indication of green-based colours. I have been using this product for my eyelashes for years and I love it! It genuinely works and lasts a long time - just as dark and as long as a salon job. The only problem I have is a little bit of leakage into my eyes and some mild stinging, but I’ve had this happen at a high end salon so it’s nothing I can’t handle. The colour is spot on. I’ve used the Natural Black and the Dark Brown and have seen the difference between them all. They are legit as advertised. If you want to save big bucks and don’t mind a bit of prep work, definitely get 1000 Hour Eyelash & Brow Dye kit!
