A big thank you to BH and Rimmel for giving me the chance to trial this mascara! The mascara tube is a little thick, that could be both positive and negative - positive because it's easy to find in your makeup bag, but negative because it does take up a bit of room. What I love about this mascara is the wand, it's got an extra little 'wedge' section which allows you to really get into those tiny little lashes at the outer corner of the eye. The rest of the wand alternates between shorter and longer bristles on each side so you can really wiggle in between your lashes and wiggle upwards to create added volume. I'd say as a summary, it provides a extra volume, goes on clump -free (no spider lashes here!) and also stays put all day without clumping or creasing, which is great! It's also quite easy to remove at the end of the day.

I've been super keen to try this product since Mr Maybelline, Nigel Stanislaus, raves about it, and I can safely say it doesn't disappoint! The shade I trialled is called Molten Gold and comes packaged in a sturdy compact with a click shut closure. The product is embossed with a gorgeous design, but sadly, as the highlighter is quite soft, the design starts to fade from the very first use. The highlighter itself is a beautiful metallic gold which would look beautiful on all skin tones, but is especially flattering on medium to deeper skintones. It's super pigmented, so less is probably more when it comes to this. You can apply with a light hand for a gorgeous glow, or build it up for that blinding sheen favored by magazines. When swatched on the hand, it does appear quite glittery, but these particles aren't as noticeable when applied directly to cheekbones. It doesn't have any noticeable scent, for sensitive users. Overall, I'm really loving this, and I think it's definitely one of the best highlighters when it comes to the drugstore brands!

First of all, a big thank you to BH and Maybelline for giving me the chance to try this cushion foundation. Secondly, a big props to Maybelline for being one of the first brands to make a cushion foundation that is actually available in a variety of skintones! I also love that this is by a drugstore brand, and thus, widely available once it launches (and for a more reasonable price tag than some of its high end counterparts) I've always wanted to try a cushion foundation but most of the brands with these offerings rarely have shades available for more tanned skintones (i.e. me). I was really excited when I heard that this was coming out, both because of the affordable price tag and the fact that there was actually a shade that would fit my skintone I picked the shade Sun Beige, and it's a perfect match! Being the first compact foundation I've ever tried, I kept an open mind when I first tried it, so as not to be disappointed by unrealistic expectations. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the flawless finish this foundation offered. It's supposed to be medium coverage, but I found that it's really buildable, which means that you can choose to apply more for higher coverage, or just blend it out to get a very sheer finish. The finish is quite dewy in nature and seems to melt seamlessly into the skin, but also manages not to look like an oil slick in my t-zone, which can get a bit shiny towards the middle of the day. I really love the compact nature of this foundation, as you can easily throw it in your travel bag without worrying about spills. The sponge and built-in mirror provided is also good for touching up your foundation on the go, although I actually didn't see the need to reapply as it pretty much stayed put all day (I do always use a foundation primer, though). It also didn't accentuate any dry patches, leaving my skin feeling hydrated all day long While I loved many things about this foundation, one of the things I loved most is that it has really high SPF coverage (SPF40), which means I can skip the sunscreen step. Anything that gives me a little more time back in my day is always a big bonus in my book! Overall, I'm a huge fan and I would definitely repurchase once this runs out!

I hadn't tried many Aveeno products prior to trying the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Sheer Hydration Lotion, but this has definitely made me a fan of the brand! First up, let's talk packaging. The cream is packaged in a simple, hygienic pump bottle that makes dispensing the cream a breeze. There's also a handy twist lock feature which means you can easily pop it in your bag if you need to travel, without any fear of accidental spillage. The lotion itself is creamy, yet lightweight, sinking easily into the skin in seconds without leaving any residue behind. I love how quickly it dries, as you can quickly slather some on and then pop straight to putting your clothes on. A little goes a long way; I like using one pump for each leg, and then a pump for both arms. While it's supposed to be fragrance free, I do detect a light powdery scent to it, but nothing too heavy that will clash with the fragrance I choose to wear. The colloidal oatmeal extract keeps my skin looking and feeling moisturised for up to 24 hours, even through regular showers, which is a great feature as I can sometimes be a little forgetful about moisturising after every shower. Overall, I'm a huge fan of this, particularly given the affordable pricetag, and will definitely be repurchasing!

First of all, a big thank you to BH and L'Oreal for giving me the chance to trial this product. I've been looking for a new day moisturiser for a while so I was really excited to try this! The first thing that I noticed about this moisturiser is that it doesn't have SPF in it, which can actually be a good idea as you can then use it as a night cream as well. Apparently there's also another version of this that DOES contain SPF, so that's a good alternative for those who prefer to have good sunscreen coverage in their day moisturiser. There was a 'ruler' provided with this trial, which allows you to assess your skin problems, and determine the results after using the cream. I'd say that my skin was probably around a '2-3' on the scale; I don't have a lot of wrinkles but I do have fine lines. The packaging is small and compact, with the cream encased securely in a screw-top jar. The cream itself is quite smooth, light and sinks easily into the skin without leaving any greasy residue. It doesn't take long to dry so I don't have to wait too long before applying my makeup. There's a soft, powdery floral scent to it which is quite pleasing. It's not too overwhelming at all but I thought it was worth a mention for those who find scent quite important in a product. In terms of how the cream performs, I was quite pleased. In terms of the ruler, I'm probably under a '1' now. My skin looks and feels more hydrated, fresh and less 'tired', as the fine lines aren't quite as distinguishable now. It also helps my makeup look better and last longer, so I'm extremely pleased with this cream. I find the price quite affordable, too, as a little goes a long way with this product, so the 50ml jar will last a good while.

First up, I was a huge fan of the rose gold outer box, which houses a sleek silver canister inside, with a pump dispenser. I love pump dispensers as it's a great way to get product out without compromising on hygiene. You can definitely see the tiny gold flecks in this though it blends well into the skin on application. I find that one pump dispenses enough product for my entire face. The only drawback is that it's difficult to gauge how much product is remaining in the tube, as it's completely opaque. The serum itself is a pale yellow gold and meant to be applied before moisturiser. I quite liked this serum, it was lightweight and absorbed easily into my skin. It was easy to apply moisturiser after waiting a few seconds for this to sink in. I haven't noticed a significant difference in my skin from using this, but it definitely looks more hydrated and slightly more radiant after regular use of this, in conjunction with use of the day/night cream. Overall, I'm a fan and I will definitely be repurchasing this once my tube runs out!

I have to confess that I always have the best of intentions when it comes to eye-creams, but often find that falling by the wayside after the initial few days. Not so much with this product, as the ease of application really helps in keeping me consistent with regular use! First up, the packaging is beautiful, with the rose gold outer box housing a simple silver tube. The top unscrews to reveal a flat metal applicator which dispenses the perfect amount for each application. The cream itself is pale white and quite lightweight in texture, with no discernable scent. It sinks beautifully into the skin without leaving any residue. I've been applying this using the applicator directly on my skin, and then gently working it with my fingertips using a dabbing motion. The applicator feels quite cooling on the skin, which is a lovely feeling. I'd say that my dark circles haven't reduced considerably, but there is a slight improvement and the skin definitely looks more hydrated. Overall, I'm a big fan and will definitely repurchase this.

A big thank you to BH and Dr LeWinn's for giving me the opportunity to trial this cream. This was an ideal product for me as I love the idea of using the same product for day and night moisturising! My skin type is normal but I'm not a fan of products which feel heavy on the skin, so I was very intrigued to see that this was marketed to be lightweight on application. First impressions of the packaging were very favourable. It arrived packaged in a beautiful rose gold box, which you open to find a gorgeous silver pot with a crystal top. Something about the packaging is vaguely reminiscent of Lancome packaging, which lends credence to how luxurious this product looks! The only drawback to this product packaging is that you need to either dip a finger in to get product out, or have a spatula handy to keep things more hygienic. The cream itself is a pale gold in colour and has a lovely floral scent which adds to the luxurious feel upon application. It certainly lives up to the lightweight promise, as it works beautifully into my skin without leaving a greasy or heavy residue. Overall, it applies very well, but I have noticed some pilling/product build-up on extremely hot days, when it doesn't sink into my skin quite as well. I wouldn't say that my skin appears markedly different after using this product, but it definitely looks more hydrated, rested and has a subtle glow to it. I'm definitely going to keep using this moisturiser!

I love this little gloss that I picked up in Fuschia Drama while travelling around Europe earlier this year, and was so pleased that it's finally available in Australia! I consider this to be the 'grown up' sister to the L'Oreal Shine Caresse glosses as it delivers pigmented colour, high impact shine and a hit of moisture all with the one easy swipe. The leaf shaped applicator is perfect for tracing around the contours of your lips, with the formula being slightly thicker than your standard gloss. The product has a slight floral fragrance which I find quite pleasant, but might be of significance to those who prefer unscented products. This is one of my favourite products to reach for when I'm craving a bit of colour to liven up my face, but need something that's lighter and more moisturising than a standard lipstick. Like most lipglosses, this might cause your hair to stick to your lips on a windy day, so exercise caution when reaching for this!

I absolutely love this BB cream! In fact, I adore it so much, I'm on my fourth tube of it! It comes in two different shades, and I use the 'medium' shade. Packaged in a white squeeze tube with a screw top lid, this BB cream is a white liquid with a slightly grainy texture, which gradually oxidises to match the colour of your skin. Unlike many BB creams, this one is quite runny, which I love as it is makes it very easy to blend into your skin. I would describe this as a light to medium coverage, which I often set with a light dusting of mineral powder foundation. I've received many compliments on my skin when wearing this, which is quite a feat for a previous acne sufferer with slight scarring. I find I don't need to use much of this to cover my whole fact, so a tube lasts a fair while. Overall, a big thumbs up from me!
