This is probably a great product, but I don’t think it’s really for me, and that doesn’t mean it won’t be right for someone else. The strips each come individually wrapped. They are easy to apply to pre-dampened skin across the nose. Once dry, they are peeled off, along with any dirt, oil or blackheads. I found them easy to use, and they didn’t hurt when peeled off (as I recall of some similar products back in the 90s). Because I have drier skin and don’t really suffer from blocked pores, I found the strips didn’t really remove much, which I guess is a good thing. I think this is a result of my type of skin rather than the product not being effective. The skin on my nose did feel smoother after using the strip. I imagine they would be great for anyone with congested skin or blocked pores.

This product comes in a plastic pump-top bottle, which makes for easy and no mess dispensing. Not being glass, it is perfect for anyone who has ever knocked over a bottle and had it smash on the bathroom floor! The clear serum is lightweight and easily absorbed. I’m not sure whether it is because my normally non-sensitive skin has been a bit irritated from face mask wearing, but I found the serum felt tingly on initial application. I followed the instructions for if you encounter sensitivity and removed it with a face washer after the first minute the first few times I used it. It has 25% glycolic acid, so it is a strong product. Once your skin is used to it, it is left on overnight. I do think it made my skin look fresh, bright and smooth, with any dullness eliminated. It only needs to be used once or twice per week, so it will last a considerable time.

This is not a fancy, luxurious or beautifully scented hand cream. No, this is a pure and effective work horse of a hand cream! It comes in a generously sized soft tube with an easy to use flip lid. When I say it is generously sized, it is 150ml, so it will provide many applications. The look of the packaging isn’t feminine, so men would feel quite comfortable using the product too. The lotion is light and absorbs really quickly, leaving no greasy residue. You don’t need to use much. It is fragrance free, so this adds to the unisex appeal and makes it a perfect product to have on hand for the whole family. Like many people, I’m finding that using sanitiser multiple times per day is leaving my hands drier than usual, and this has been the perfect solution. Not many skin product feature a 100% money back guarantee, but this one does, so you have nothing to lose!

This moisturiser comes in an easy to use tube with a convenient flip lid. It is very generous in size, at 100ml, which is rare for a facial moisturiser. The formulation is a light weight lotion which absorbs quickly and easily into the skin. It feels pleasant on the skin and is perfect for anyone who doesn’t like heavier creams on their face. The moisturiser has a natural formulation, which is appealing, featuring vitamin E, along with macadamia and rosehip oils. It doesn’t have a scent, which is great for anyone sensitive to fragranced products. This is a very good basic moisturiser, but I felt my dry, ageing skin needed something a bit more. I didn’t feel sufficiently moisturised throughout the day, but I’m sure that this would suit others with less dry, younger skin though. Instead of my face, I’m quite liking using it as a moisturiser on my neck and décolletage area. It represents great value for money, so it could be worth giving it a try.

This lotion comes in a very functional plastic pump bottle which is convenient and easy to use. It has a wider base which provides a sturdiness and prevents it being knocked over. The lotion feels light but rich on the skin and was easily absorbed leaving my skin feeling moisturised and nourished but not greasy. This feeling lasted most of the day. It is gentle and not irritating on the skin. I couldn’t really detect the lotion having a scent, which means it doesn’t interfere with the smell of perfume or other scented products you might use. It’s not a fancy lotion, but it is effective. To be honest, the product probably wouldn’t have leapt off the shelf at me, but having used it, I am happy with it. It makes a perfect every day moisturiser for dry or sensitive skin, in fact, I think it would suit any skin type.

I usually don’t suffer from dry lips, so I haven’t been a big user of lip balms in the past. However that has changed since we’ve had to wear face masks. I’m finding that over time, this is drying out my lips, so the timing was just right to trial this lip balm. The balm comes in a conveniently sized soft tube. It has a slanted applicator for easy and even application. I love anything fruity, so I had hoped that being paw paw enriched the balm would have a fruity smell and taste. Because of this expectation, I was a little disappointed to find it didn’t really have a smell or taste, but I appreciate that for some people this would be their preference. My lips were left feeling moist but not sticky. The lip balm feels gentle and soothing, and my lips are feeling much more comfortable and hydrated under my face mask.

Full disclosure here - I’ve never been a fan of gradual tanners. I’ve always preferred to just do one application of regular fake tan to achieve the colour I want. I never saw the appeal of the gradual tanner approach of taking multiple applications and days to achieve that. So, with this in mind, I wasn’t expecting to love this product as much as I did! I wear shorts year-round to the gym, so I like to have a bit of colour on my naturally very pale legs and arms, which is where I used this gradual tan. The product is easy to use - it comes in an easy to squeeze tube. It feels moisturising and smooth on the skin. The lotion is a thin cream consistency and spreads easily. The white lotion turns clear when applied, which I didn’t mind, as I’m very used to applying fake tan and don’t need a colour guide to achieve an even, non-patchy tan. It may be a little harder for someone not experienced with fake tan application. It took a couple of minutes to absorb enough to put clothes on afterwards. It leaves a pleasant coconut scent to the skin, which over time does develop a bit of a fake tan smell, but not as strong or unpleasant as most. By the second application, a realistic light colour was visible, and by the third application I had achieved the colour I was wanting, not a “back from beach holiday” tan, but a definite healthy glow. The colour was consistent and not patchy. This process can also be sped up by using the lotion morning and night. I have used the product to create a fresh tan, and also extend a regular fake tan and it works well in both circumstances. One thing that really stood out to me is that lately when I use my regular fake tan, as a woman in her early 50s, I’m finding that it’s bringing out dark sun damage spots that aren’t normally visible, and I’m really not liking that. I found this product didn’t do this, and for that reason alone I would switch over to using it permanently. This product is a winner for me - easy to use, great colour and no unwanted dark sun damage spots!

The packaging of the brush in an elegant black and rose gold box instantly gave the impression that this was going to be a very nice brush, and the first impressions proved to be absolutely correct! The bristles on this brush are the style that look like upside down pins, but do not fear, they don’t hurt! The cushioned base prevents bristles from digging into the scalp, and the rounded bristles tips are smooth on the skin and hair. The brush feels nice on the scalp, giving the feel of a gentle massage. The brush was perfect for my fine long hair. It took very little effort to make my hair smooth and tangle free. It felt gentle on the hair, with no pulling or tearing. I can’t imagine another brush making my hair look so good so easily. The brush feels sturdy and is a comfortable size in the hand, as well as being nice and light. An added bonus with this brush is that the massaging effect of the bristles increases blood circulation to the scalp and enhances hair health. This is now my go-to brush, and I honestly cannot fault it!

I love the simplicity and visual elegance of the design of this Glasshouse diffuser. It is just a little more special than most with the sophisticated combination of the gold base and black reeds. This particular pack comes with two differently and beautifully scented packets of reeds, allowing you to try more than one fragrance. At just under $45, I felt it represented good value for money. Glasshouse also sells a range of scented reeds that fit into the diffuser, so you will never get bored with it! Unlike a lot of diffusers, this actually does provide a good level of scent without being overbearing. The reeds retain their scent for approximately a month. The presentation of the diffuser also makes it a great gift.

I have super straight fine hair that generally cannot hold a curl. However, I did find success with the Remington Waver. It essentially works like crimper, and you work it down the hair like that, clamping the hair as you go. Because my hair is fine, I was able to do my whole hair quite quickly and easily - you can’t really go wrong with it, it is that easy to use. There are different temperature settings, which I appreciated, and preferred to use the gentler, lower temperature on my hair. I also liked that I only had to clamp my hair for about 5 or 6 seconds, minimising any potential damage. If you like the crimped curl look (the wider curls are my favourite) this is a quick and easy way to accomplish a fun look!
