I’m always on the look out for a shampoo and conditioner combo that won’t strip my colour and sadly, as i loved everything else about the products, this duo isn’t it. The conditioner and shampoo have the same luscious but not overpowering English toffee scent of creamy vanilla caramel. The bottles are big and bright but pumps would make them easier to use. The conditioner is silicone-free with a thick, unctuous custard texture and colour, and is rich but light at the same time, probably due to the coconut and almond oils included in the ingredients. I have fine hair prone to tangles and usually need a thick, rich conditioner that tends to weigh down my hair, but after using the colour goddess conditioner it was easy to comb out knots and my hair was left soft, scented and full of body. I will keep using the conditioner as i really like how light, fluffy and hydrated my hair feels, and the scent is divine.

The conditioner and shampoo have the same luscious but not overpowering English toffee scent of creamy vanilla caramel. The bottles are big and bright but pumps would make them easier to use. The shampoo is a thick, pearlescent gold with plenty of lather, is gentle on the scalp and leaves my hair clean without being drying. Unfortunately it is not as good with colour retention as my regular shampoo and conditioner. My colour looks bright and my hair looks shiny but a colour protection shampoo should be maintaining colour not stripping it out of the roots. I think this is a nice low-sulphate shampoo with plenty of moisturising oils but I dye my hair regularly and i need better colour protection than is offered by this product.

I enjoyed the mini version of this light but nourishing cream so much i bought a full size jar. I think it is a better vitamin c product than Antipodes’ shimmery vitamin c serum, although that is pleasant to use. I don’t know why this is called a water cream, it is not a water cream to me, more like a light textured moisturiser. It has a light citrus scent, absorbs quickly and feels nice on my skin with no irritation. It is the perfect weight - not too light and not too rich, and it is my favourite moisturiser from Antipodes (aside from the manuka honey cream mask). I replaced my vitamin c serums with this cream and have been happy with the results so far. It isn’t revolutionary but it has decent ingredients and is certainly equal to if not better than the vitamin c serums i have tried.

I was in the market for a new cleanser so i picked this up, along with the rest of the happy skin range, half price at the supermarket. I was sold as soon as i saw the word ‘jelly’ but it’s actually just a regular low-foaming gel cleanser. The packaging is bright and easy to see in the shower, scent is mildly tropical and it has fruit enzymes and hyaluronic acid, both of which i like. It’s just nothing special. If i needed a supermarket cleanser in a hurry i would consider it but i think there are better options. I am not excited by the happy skin range. The bright colours are nice. This mild cleanser is the best out of the 4 products. Just a very average offering from essano.

On paper this balm cleanser looked great - compact tube packaging, ceramides, a nice blend of oils including sea buckthorn, castor, sunflower and olive oils. It does the job and rinses off fairly cleanly leaving my skin soft, but the drag on this stuff is awful. It never melts into my skin and i find i am pulling it around my face, it is so sticky and uncomfortable to use. Maybe it works better in summer months, but i expect my balm cleansers to melt on contact with my skin and spread easily. Other than that it does the job and i think if it melted more easily and didn’t drag on my skin so much it would be a good balm cleanser. I like the tube packaging but that’s about it. A few tweaks to the formulation would make this a great balm cleanser, as there aren’t many compact, travel-friendly options in this price range. Bondi sands is no longer australian owned anyway so i will not be repurchasing.

This is a standard low foaming gel cleanser. I bought it because the ingredients looked decent and i thought the tube would be practical for travel. I was wrong. It leaks everywhere. No matter how tightly i screw on the lid the gel leaks out of the cap. I have to keep it in a plastic bag or leave it at home with the lid facing up. The cleanser itself is fine although a little slippery and hard to rinse off. There are so many other better gel cleansers on the market and while the packaging is cute it is totally impractical. The company is no longer australian owned and the poorly thought out packaging extends to their other products. Cute colours are not enough to make me buy this brand again.

These are the only wipes i use. They are thick and soft and the texture doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I use them for travel and keep them on my nightstand for when i am ill or for late nights when i fall into bed and realise i forgot to take off my make up. The wipes are gentle and moisturising enough that i can use them and go to sleep. The wipes are biodegradeable and just one wipe removes all my make up easily. They are moist but if one is a bit dry i just add a few drops of water. The packaging keeps the wipes sealed well and they are easy to use. I don’t like how Simple reduced the number of wipes to 20 while the regular wipes are 25, but now that my other brand of biodegradeable micellar wipes are not available, i have gone back to these.

I loved the old version of this leave-in conditioner and i love the new version even more. The tube is more sleek and stylised and the product has a thick, creamy texture and a pleasant soft, sweet scent that is infinitely better than the old version. It leaves my fine hair shiny, bouncy, resilient and full of volume. I like using it on freshly washed hair as a volume booster and styling aid to give silky tresses a bit of grip instead of using actual styling products which can build up. It isn’t as slippy as other leave-ins and i only need a tiny bit for my long hair. It contains macadamia oil, hyaluronic acid and panthenol. The product is australian made and owned, sulphate and silicone free, vegan and the packaging is 70% recycled. There are no drawbacks to this product, it is the best natural leave-in on the market and it is easy to grab at the supermarket or pharmacy.

I bought this set for the same price as the serum alone and i liked it so much i ended up buying the full size vitamin c cream. The serum is pleasant to use - a pearlescent golden fluid that absorbs quickly and gives a nice hydration boost. There is no discernible shimmer left on the skin from the product but i don’t think it adds anything and i’m not wild about the waffle about skincare rituals on the bottle. The serum is gentle and non-irritating with a mild fragrance. I just didn’t see any improvement using this vitamin c serum and i think antipodes has other more hydrating serums. I preferred the matching mini cream. The mini cleanser was great for travel and i enjoyed using it. It is a straight-forward foaming gel cleanser with a subtle citrus fragrance and i like the glass packaging. I enjoy Antipodes’ sets as the minis are always useful or worth trying. They are nicely packaged and make a great gift. I can’t give it 4 stars as i don’t think the serum is great, but i liked the set as a whole.

I love this lip conditioner so much! It is so hard to find a matte lip balm, but Antipodes kiwi seed oil lip conditioner is not shiny at all. It is waxy and buttery at the same time and makes a great base for lip products. The tube is small and matte black so it does tend to get lost in my make up bag. The balm is a lipstick shape and contains a rich blend of oils and butters including avocado oil, kiwi seed oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, coconut oil, olive oil and shea and cocoa butters. It is firmer than other lip balms so although the tube is small it lasts ages. I like that it doesn’t have a fragrance. It is more expensive than other lip balms but worth it.
