I have been using the rubbing alcohol solution from Isocol for years and it is definitely a must have for my household. It is such a great multi purpose product. It is just as it states on the bottle, no frills antiseptic solution. The packaging with the crocodile is very funny and the green bottle is easy to identify in medicine cabinet. I use it for so many things: from cleaning cuts and scrapes to removing splinters to cleaning stains on clothing. And it is a great surface cleaner too. It does have a smell as would be expected from an alcohol based product. But it does evaporate pretty quickly as alcohol tends to do.

I recieved the Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse by Grow as part of a trial team - thank you very much to BH and the team at Grow for this opportunity! I have tried some other products from this brand in the past and was excited to give this one a go. The rinse is designed to remove the build up of various products and dead skin as well as refresh and hydrate the scalp. All things that my scalp is always in need of, especially in dry winter weather. This rinse has some great ingredients including glycolic, salicylic and hyaluronic acids, niacinamide, kaolin and with Hazel. That is quite an impressive line up to name a few. It is pretty easy to use - just squeeze some product directly onto the scalp and massage in in circular motions. Leave for a few minutes and then follow up with your regular hair wash routine. The product comes in a squeeze tube with a rubber brush attached to help with the application. On initial application I did find it took some doing to get the product out, but once it started flowing, it was easy and quick to use. It feels very cooling on the scalp when applied and has a gentle clean scent, which I enjoyed. It leaves my scalp and hair feeling clean and fresh and I will definitely continue to use it post trial.

I was looking for a new oil cleanser that would be both affordable and do a good job taking off my make-up at the end of the day. So following some research I gave this Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser By CeraVe a try and I have not looked back. This cleanser is so gentle on the skin and yet it manages to take off all my make-up at the end of the day including mascara. It does not foam very much, but it feels very nice on the skin while I massage it all over my face. I have been using this as step one in my nightly double cleansing routine and it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. The packaging with the pump dispenser is great too!

I love trying out new skincare and K-Beauty has been on everyone's mind for a while now. So when I saw a couple of innisfree products including the Green Tea Seed Serum for a reduced priced, I figured that it was high time for me to give them a go. And I am so happy that I did. This serum is a fantastic serum for daily use and would suit lots of different skin types. My combination skin certainly loved it. It has a gentle clean scent that is not overpowering and it is easily absorbed into the skin, which I love. I have been using it as my morning time serum and I feel that it creates a great, smooth base for my make-up. I have already finished my first bottle and will definitely be repurchasing in the future.

I have always adored Glasshouse candles ever since I've tried them, but Forever Florence is the first fragrance that I have tried from them. It did not disappoint. The scent is a warm, floral one and the peonies come through especially beautifully in every spritz. Peonies are one of my favourite flowers, so I might be a bit biased, but this scent is just heavenly. It's like taking a long walk through a glorious Italian garden in the height of spring. In terms of lasting power, it isn't the greatest, which is why I deducted a star. But every spritz is a joy, so I am more than happy to reapply as needed.

I received the Intense Whitening Strips and Whitening Pen kit by Revlon as part of a Discovery Bag here on BH - thank you to BH and Revlon for the chance to trial this product. I have actually always been very cautious with at home teeth whitening treatments and I was not expecting that Revlon would come out with a product like this as I tend to associate them more with cosmetics and related products rather than dental products. The kit comprises 14 whitening strips for the 14 day duration of the initial treatment and one whitening pen to be used later on for touch ups as needed. The strips contains the following added botanicals: chamomile, aloe vera, cranberries and peppermint. There are separate strips for the bottom and top teeth, however I found that due to the width of each strip, they will overlap, when applied, which means that I am unable to speak for the duration of each treatment, which is 30 minutes long. I did also try folding the strips over, which does allow me to speak, but makes it more difficult to remove them, when done. So I will say that while I found the treatment portion to be rather inconvenient, the strips do work as I have noticed my teeth getting whiter. If the design can be improved, I would definitely given them a higher rating then.

I received the Hemp Soothing Body Balm by Hemptuary as part of a Discovery Bag here on BH - thank you BH and Hemptuary for the opportunity to trial this product. I love body products and it being winter, I was very excited to add a nice hydrating body balm to my body care routine. I love that this body balm contains such great ingredients as calendula flower extract, manuka oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, peppermint oil and sea buckthorn oil. I have found that this consistency of this body balm is very thick and hard and is actually difficulty to get out of its jar. I have to dig in with my nails to scoop it out. And because of the thickness, it takes a while for it to be properly absorbed by my skin, which is not very convenient. In terms of hydrating, it did a decent enough job, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. I'm also not a huge fan of the jar packaging and given the thickness, perhaps including a small spatula to scoop the product out would be helpful as using my nails is simply non-hygienic.

I received the PB Skin Glow Gleam-Giver serum as part of a Discovery Bag here on BH - thanks BH and PB Skin for this opportunity to test this product. I love a good serum and love trying out new serums, so I was very keen to get my hands on this one. I have never heard about this brand before and was very pleased to learn that their products are natural, vegan, cruelty free and made in Australia - all things I appreciate in my skincare. The serum is designed to be brightening and balancing, which my skin definitely needs. It contains some lovely natural ingredients too. It has a light brown colour and a runny consistency. I found that the recommended one pump was not sufficient to cover my whole face, so I tend to go for 1.5-2 pumps - perhaps my skin is just extra thirsty as it is winter. It does have a smell, that I am not a huge fan of, but it does disappear once applied onto the skin. The serum is quick to absorb and has left my skin looking and feeling well hydrated, soft and supple. I tend to use it as my morning serum, but it can be used twice a day too. The packaging is great too - the pump bottle is very hygienic and easy to use. Overall I have been really enjoying using this serum and will continue to do so.

I received the Omnilux Contour Face device as part of a Discovery Bag - thank you very much for the opportunity to trial this, BH and Omnilux. I have used a light technology mask in the past for acne treatment, but this was my first time using a red light technology mask for fine lines and wrinkle treatment. The mask uses two proven wavelengths of red light that have been shown to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin and to improve blood flow within the tissue. This in turn helps the skin to absorb skincare better and rebuilds the damage caused by the ageing process. So in a nutshell, this is what every person needs, lets be honest. I was certainly very excited to try it! The mask itself might appear a little intimidating at first, but it is actually super easy to use. It comes with a set of different wall charger plug ins, which makes it very convenient for travelling too. All you need to do is charge controller (just ensure that the mask is not connected during the charging), then plug in into the mask, clean and dry your skin, put the mask on and let it do it's job. I will say that I have found the red light to be very bright, when it's on and while the instruction say that you can go about your business while having the treatment, for me this was not the case. The light is too bright for my eyes, and I do need to keep them shut while the treatment is in progress. But it is only 10 minutes at a time, so I just use that time to relax and meditate, so it actually becomes a lovely self-care time for me. And more importantly, the mask definitely does work - I have found that after a short time using it, my fine lines and wrinkles have diminished! I can only imagine what the result will be with longer use! Now it is a costly device, but it definitely works, and can be used time and time again, so will pay for itself over time.

I ordered the Tough Hands Fragrance Free cream as part of the recent Rewards Room. This cream is especially designed to help heal and protect skin that is exposed to harsh elements, hard work etc. I find that this is the perfect cream to use after I have been out in the garden and my skin is feeling dry and overworked. This cream works almost like a coating that sooths and heals my tired and overworked hands. My hands feel and look smooth and well taken care of after I use this cream. It comes in an easy to use and hygienic squeezable tube, which I really like.
