I would like to thank beautyheaven and Hemptuary for the opportunity to trial this body balm. After first trialling hemp products through beautyheaven, I am a massive fan of them! This product comes presented very nicely, and its a good size that you can put it in your handbag or work bag and take it on the go. My one criticism with this balm is that I find it INCREDIBLY hard to apply and actually get out of the tub. It is very 'dense' and I find that I need to really dig at it to get any product. it is lovely however, super nourishing and I find that my skin if it is feeling tight/itchy/bothered this can really soothe it. however, the amount of work to get it out and actually rub it into my skin was the reason for a star deduction!

Thanks to Beautyheaven and Dermal Therapy for the opportunity to trial this hand cream. In my line of work, I am constantly sanitising my hands and cleaning down treatment beds with sanitising wipes, so at the end of the day my hands are left feeling super dry (even to the point of cracking sometimes!) This balm is AMAZING! It is truly not greasy in the slightest, I can apply it at work and it absorbs immediately and I can keep typing (I actually just applied it and it absorbs so beautifully and instantly!). There is no scent so it is great for those with sensory issues around scents, and my hands are left feeling soft and nourished, this truly is my new HG hand cream, and I will definitely be repurchasing when my tube runs out!

I would like to thank beautyheaven and nude by nature for the opportunity to trial this foundation. Having skin that is prone to dryness and redness, I was so excited to see a foundation promoting its benefits just for these issues at the best in beauty event! I do like the packaging of this powder foundation, the green is lovely and mentally calming (to go with the product inside!) and the powder is finely milled, with the mesh ensuring that you don't end up with half the powder sitting in the top! it does apply nicely, but I had similar issues with the colour not being a really good match for my skin. i could use it lightly over my usual foundation, but I feel like I would need a slightly different shade to use it on its own.

I would like to thank nude by nature for the opportunity to trial this product at the best in beauty marketplace 2023. My favourite foundations are medium, buildable and moisture infusing so I was quite excited to try this! We got colour matched on the day, and I could immediately tell that it wasn't going to be a perfect match for my very fair skin with pink undertones, but I trialled it regardless. (I also want to note there are only 6 shades available so it may be difficult for others to colour match too) It does apply quite nicely, it is a smooth consistency and it did feel lovely on the skin, but it dried down quite orange on me and just didn't suit me. I think if you have light-medium skin and are not cool-toned this may be more likely to suit you, but unfortunately it wasn't a winner for me.

I would like to thank beautyheaven and Burt's Bees for this trial opportunity after attending the best in beauty showcase. I had an opportunity to try this after a long day in the sun (like in the description!) After a 35 degree day in Sydney with a lot of pool swimming, my lips were left feeling a bit chapped and dry. Enter the after sun soother! The texture of this balm is (in my opinion) a lot smoother than the traditional burt's bees lip balms, and it applies almost like a petrochemical based balm (but in the best way!), it feels quite occlusive on the lips and you can tell that is keeping that moisture right where it needs to be. It has a very mild scent, so if you are scent-averse this could be a good option for you. The morning after slathering this on my lips before bed, I woke up with soft, moisturised lips with no signs of chapping. Combine this with the Burt's Bees scrub and you'll be in lip heaven!

I would like to thank beautyheaven and burt's bees for another opportunity to trial their amazing products. Coming out of winter, my lips have been in need of some TLC, and this is exactly what they needed! The texture is divine, it is enough to feel exfoliating on the lips but not so rough that it feels too abrasive. I also love that burt's bees have used repurposed coffee grounds, saving something from waste. I found the coffee scent to not be overpowering, and it almost feels like a balm behind the scrub, which leaves my lips feeling super nourished. This is a new must-have in my BB collection!

I would like to thank beautyheaven and Glow Lab for allowing me to trial their moisturiser after the lovely Glosscars marketplace event. Being a mid-30’s gal, any nourishing night cream is of great interest to me! Having used some Glow Lab products in the past, I really like their range and their ethos so I had some high expectations for this night cream. The jar is lovely, black and sleek. The product is white in colour, and didn’t have a particular scent which is great for the sensory-sensitive amongst us! It is thick and lush, without feeling occlusive on the skin, and applies like a dream after serums and oils. I loved the way this sat on my skin, and left me feeling nourished and just really lovely! I will definitely do a re-buy on this one, it is up there with my top night creams of all time!

I would like to thank beautyheaven and Manicare for allowing me to trial these lashes after the lovely Glosscars marketplace event. I normally only use lashes as part of a more dramatic look, so I was intrigued in the idea of a more subtle false lash. I am not a fan of the ‘single use’ however as it seems a bit excessive to buy lashes that are essentially going to blend with your natural and only get 1 use out of them. They come pre-glued which I really like (less mess for me!) and they are easy to apply. The band used is quite thick and black compared to the lashes so you are going to get an eyeliner effect at the same time, which if you’re going for subtlety might not be the best approach.

I would like to thank beautyheaven and Synergie for allowing me to trial this lash curler after the lovely Glosscars marketplace event. I love a locally made product, and having had some varied experiences with Vitamin C serums I was intrigued to try this one. Firstly, it doesn’t have the awful ‘hot dog’ or ‘ham’ odour that you can get with other Vitamin C serums, so that was a big plus! I applied this in the morning before my sunscreen and other makeup (if wearing) and I found that it played nicely with my other skincare, without pilling or separating. I feel like it has improved my skin texture and tone, and I will definitely keep using this one!

I would like to thank beautyheaven and Burt’s Bees for allowing me to trial this tinted lip balm after the lovely Glosscars marketplace event. Having recently converted to the iconic Burt’s Bees yellow tube standard lip balm, I literally let out a squeal of excitement when I saw this at the Glosscars! The little tube is lovely, silver with accents of the colour inside. I would honestly prefer more of an applicator on the product as tinted lip balms can be a bit messy when you have to get your fingers involved! The colour deposit is lovely, really just enough to give a wash of colour without looking too ‘heavy’ or ‘made up’ for those lighter makeup days. The watermelon scent in my chosen shade was absolutely delicious and I had to resist licking the balm off my lips within the first 10 seconds. The balms are nourishing and non-drying at all. I will definitely be re-buying!
