The Avène Dermabsolu Reshaping Day Cream comes in a golden tub within a glass jar. When opening the tub for the first time be very careful it does not fall out of the jar as it is a bit tricky. The cream itself is very lush, almost like a mousse consistency. You only need a small dab to apply as it spreads very easily. I started from my forehead and worked my way down my face, neck and décolletage, applying as needed. I did not notice any fragrance and as my skin is very sensitive, I had no adverse reactions to this beautiful cream at all. I also found that it was perfect when I applied foundation soon after while the skin was still absorbing the cream. My foundation went on so smoothly and evenly. This cream leaves the skin feeling so soft and silky throughout the day and absorbs so well. I have noticed improvement in the skin tone and fine lines are minimised to a degree too. There is no stickiness or greasy feeling with the reshaping day cream and the effects seem to last all day for me. It is suggested to use after applying serum but I only used the cream directly onto my skin and it appeared to work very well for me. When I wash my face there is no feeling of greasiness left on the skin as this cream absorbs completely, leaving the area well nourished and so smooth.

I am very pleased with the results after using the Avène Dermabsolu Intensive Reshaping Night Cream. This product comes in a unique style tub with a light twist top that opens the pump dispenser. It is so easy to use and there is no wastage as the pump only dispenses a small quantity of cream at one time. As soon as I applied this cream I could feel the effects on my skin which felt like it was tightening. I applied the cream on my forehead, then worked my way down my face, neck and décolletage. The texture is slightly greasy but this absorbs into the skin very quickly leaving the skin feeling very soft and moisturised. For me there was no noticeable fragrance at all and as my skin is very sensitive I had no issues or adverse reactions. I have noticed some improvement with fine lines but the texture of my skin has improved remarkably. In the morning my skin feels ever so soft and well nourished. I have also noticed a slight improvement in skin tone and tightening especially in the jowl area. It is suggested to use with serum but I only applied the cream directly onto my skin. When I wash my face in the mornings it feels so soft and smooth and you really don't notice any cream being washed off as it has absorbed so well into the skin.

I received the nude by nature Natural Mineral cover in Light/Medium skin tone at the natural beauty month event and am completely happy with this product. I have used mineral powders before in various brands and it all comes down to preparing your skin beforehand. Firstly, I make sure my skin is feeling as moisturised as possible, and it is recommended to use a good primer before applying the powder. I did not use a primer but as my skin was feeling silky smooth, this was not an issue for me. Though I have a couple of blemishes on my face, I was impressed that the application did smooth out my complection satisfactorily for a light daily application of make up. Follow the recommended instructions by tipping a small amount of powder into the lid, then dip the brush in the powder, turn upside down so the powder can fall into the brush then apply in circular strokes to the face until the desired cover is reached. This will be easy if your skin is smooth. Following this process I applied some blush and eye makeup and had a very natural face which lasted the full day. This will not provide a full cover but if you have good skin then this product does give a great complexion and this is the only reason I only gave 4 stars.

I purchased the John Frieda Violet Crush for blondes purple conditioner from the Rewards Room as this is one product that I usually use on my fine blonde hair. My hair is naturally blonde but with grey coming through and as a result I do home colouring to cover the grey. It is important to use a good purple shampoo and conditioner to help assist in ensuring the hair does not get brassy and I have found this product is something that certainly helps. After using the shampoo and rinsing my hair thoroughly I apply a generous quantity of conditioner to the ends of my long hair, combing it through carefully then I add a bit more to the crown and comb that through, ensuring all my hair has been conditioned. I thoroughly rinse the hair and it is left lovely and soft.

I received the Jergen's Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturiser as part of the 2021 Best in Beauty Awards Trial Team. This moisturiser comes in a large 221 ml tube with a flip top and this makes it very easy to use and apply just enough moisturiser as needed. The moisturiser is of a very light consistency and spreads very easily over the skin. There is a definite tropical scent which is quite pleasant but also dissipates very quickly. The skin is hydrated very well upon application and after using it there is a noticeable golden glow developing even after the first application. Further applications appear to enrich this glow. This product is recommended for fair to medium skin tones and I fall into that category but if you have darker skin then this glow may not be evident. It also claims to have a firming effect but I have not noticed any definite firming even after using for several days. This may occur after a longer period of use. My skin does feel better moisturised and has a very natural golden glow developing after using this moisturiser for several days.

I purchased the nude by nature Allure Defining Mascara 01 Black from the Rewards Room. Having used many nude by nature products I was expecting a good product and for me I was not disappointed. As my lashes are quite light and fine, using this mascara definitely defined my lashes, gave them body and overall provided a very satisfactory result and more than pleased with the finish. The mascara is in a lovely gold tube and when the wand is removed it is very tight which would remove excess mascara loading onto the wand. I found it very easy to use and would be happy to purchase this again.

I purchased the John Frieda Violet Crush for blondes intense purple shampoo from the Rewards Room as this is one product that I do use for my fine blonde hair which I colour at home to cover the grey that is now coming through my otherwise natural blonde hair. The purple shampoo does help eliminate the brassiness that sometimes occurs when doing home colouring for blonde hair. The shampoo comes out purple in a fine stream and easy to squeeze from the plastic tube so there is not too much wastage if you are careful. My hair is quite long and I need to apply a bit more to ensure all areas are lathered. The shampoo does lather very well and it is necessary to rinse very carefully to ensure it is all washed out before applying conditioner.

I purchased the Max Factor Lipfinity 24 HRS in 070 Spicy in a duo pack containing Step 1 Lip Colour + Step 2 Top Coat. Unfortunately these items were not in the correct position in the duo box when I received it from Rewards Room. I did apply them in the correct order but as the Lipfinity Lip Colour is very moist and quite a rich colour and consistency there was too much applied to my lips initially. It was difficult to tidy up the lips as the colour is intense and definite. Applying the top coat only made matters worse and I ended up with messy looking lips. I would suggest trying this product on a day you are not venturing out as the colour is intense and needs to be applied with great care. As a result I have not been game to retry using this on its own but will update if I do have better luck.

I purchased the Lipfinity Top Coat as part of the Max Factor Lipfinity 24 Hrs duo pack in 070 Spicy. This was offered in the Rewards Room and when I received the pack there are 2 products marked Step 1 Lip Colour + Step 2 Top Coat. Within the pack the items were incorrectly contained so applying them in the wrong order provided a terrible result with very messy lips. Using the Top Coat alone does leave the lips feeling very moist and hydrated but I would not recommend using the lip colour in conjunction with the top coat at all due to the messy finish. The lip colour is in a moist wand which is very rich and once applied the colour is definite and not easy to fix if you make a mistake. Also it is too moist to add the top coat as it is designed. The lips are left feeling very moist without any greasy feeling if you only use this product.

I recently purchased La Nuit Tresor L'eau de Parfum by Lancome as I had just run out of my regular Tresor fragrance. This parfum is more subtle than the original Tresor but I can only describe it as delicious. A complete stranger walked past me and came back and commented how lovely I smelt and asked what fragrance I was wearing. That is how you know a fragrance works for you. It is more expensive than the regular Tresor. The bottle shape is different too with a pointy base so It has to sit sideways, unless you just keep it in the box. I purchased my 75 ml from Chemist Warehouse when it was on special and am loving it completely.
