Finding a range of ultra-nourishing and highly efficacious products can be a hard task, add in a gentle-to-skin nature and you’ve got yourself a trifecta of trickiness. That was of course, until Avène reformulated their dermatologically-backed DermAbsolu duo.

With a natural collagen-supporting formula of bakuchiol, pro-ceramides, and niacinamide the Trial Team members found the nourishing duo worked wonderfully for their skin. They found their skin’s elasticity, firmness and plumpness boosted over the course of the trial.

Our members particularly liked that the creams have been designed to be sensitive skin-friendly, even with the light, fresh scent. They found that it just added to the ritual of applying the evening cream before bed.

The Avène jars have both been designed with sustainability in mind, as they both feature refillable jar inserts. Our members enjoyed this sustainable design choice, especially as the refills are less costly to continue to repurchase.

Both of the ultra-hydrating creams are formulated with a rich texture that our members found to absorb in easily, leaving behind no greasy residue. At the end of the trial, our members were enjoying the benefits of brightened, hydrated skin.

“The Reshaping Day Cream comes in a very solid glass jar with a removable plastic refill inside. You remove the foil lid from the refill and then you twist it into the jar to lock it in place. The refills are somewhat cheaper than it is to buy a new jar. The cream looks to be rather thick but smooths onto the skin with ease and is actually very light. Wonderfully hydrating and left my skin with a luminous glow. I had no issues applying makeup over the top of this cream. After using the cream in conjunction with the matching Night Cream I noticed some very positive changes in my 60+ skin. Lines around my mouth area were the ones that were impacted the most. “Avene’s DermAbsolu Intensive Reshaping Night Cream is a rich and totally nourishing cream to use at night time. It comes in a beautiful pot which you pump down and the product comes out like a pump. 2 to 3 pumps is enough. The cream has a gorgeous, relaxing and lovely scent, which disappears almost as soon as the product has absorbed into your skin. The product is rich but not at all greasy or oily. My skin felt so comfortable with this night cream on, it nourished, hydrated and moisturised. It also made my skin smooth and soft, my skin felt lovely in the morning after cleansing. This cream really does help with mature skin issues, so it helps with dryness, it firms the skin, tightens it up a little and makes your skin feel soft and smooth. Wrinkles looked less intense and angry, and it relaxed my skin a lot. This cream is absolutely like the much more expensive creams that offer similar results, but this one is a fraction of the price. “It’s a very classy looking jar, the blue and gold gives the appearance of a luxury product. The cream is thick and ivory in colour and smells lovely. This cream smells so nice, it’s a calming scent just before bed. It absorbs well on my 50 year old skin, the next morning my skin still feels plump and moist. I have had no irritations or breakouts. I’ve noticed that the crows feet do not seem as deep or as pronounced.
