Sequim’s Riley Pyeatt, left, a 2022 state champion in the 800 and 4x400, and Port Angeles’ Lauren Larson, who finished second in the 800, second in the 3,200 and third in the 1,600 in the state in 2019, met at the Husky Indoor Track and Field Classic in Seattle this weekend. They both competed in the 1-mile run and both finished under five minutes. Pyeatt, who ran for Abilene Christian for a couple of years but now competes for Washington State, finished 57th with a time of 4:52.23, while Larson, who now runs for Boise State, was 75th in a time of 4:54.85.
