Weather forces high school football postponements and cancellations

Peninsula College soccer games also bumped to Monday

PORT ANGELES — Stormy weather Friday and the likelihood of even worse conditions Saturday has forced the postponement or cancellation of all prep football games involving North Olympic Peninsula high school football teams this weekend.

Prep Football postponements

•Sequim at Olympic has been postponed to 7:15 p.m. Monday at Silverdale Stadium.

•Klahowya at Port Townsend has been moved to 6 p.m. Monday at Memorial Field.

•Chimacum at Vashon has been moved to 5 p.m. Monday at Vashon High School.

•Port Angeles at Bremerton will be played at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Stadium in Bremerton.

•Quilcene at Evergreen Lutheran will be played at 7 p.m. Monday at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma.

•Lummi at Crescent has been postponed. The schools are working on rescheduling the game but no date has been announce at this time (5 p.m. Friday).

Cancellations:

•Forks at North Mason has been canceled. It will not be rescheduled because it is a nonleague game and has no bearing on the playoffs.

•Clallam Bay at Orcas Island has been canceled. It will not be rescheduled.

Neah Bay has a bye this weekend.

Other prep games

Two girls soccer games scheduled for Saturday have been canceled: La Conner at Forks and Chimacum at Klahowya. No word on rescheduling those contests.

Peninsula College games moved to Monday

Also, Saturday’s Peninsula College men’s and women’s soccer home matches against Shoreline have been postponed to Monday at 2 p.m. (women) and 4 p.m. (men).
