Sports: Sequim High wins Port Townsend tournament

PORT TOWNSEND — Sequim High School won the Port Townsend Team Wrestling Tournament by not losing a team match.

The Wolves went 4-0 against Port Townsend, Klahowya, Foss and the Port Angeles junior varsity team in team competition.

Klahowya was runner-up by going 3-1 while Foss of Tacoma claimed third place at 2-2, the Redskins were 1-3 and the Roughriders 0-4.

Sequim beat Foss 37-24, nipped Klahowya 36-30, defeated Port Townsend 48-27 and ripped the young Riders 66-18.

The Wolves won eight of the 14 matches against the Redskins in a fairly close match. Vann Brasher, Rodney Caldwellin, Lewis Hammond and Kris Koistetter all won by pin for Sequim.

Port Townsend gave up four forfeits against the Wolves for 24 points.
