Sports: Sequim ends season with upset victory

SEQUIM — The Sequim Wolves ended the season on a positive note as they stopped North Mason’s 15-game winning streak 56-53 in a Nisqually League boys basketball game Thursday night.

Brady Marunde led Sequim with 19 points and he pulled down 12 rebounds.

This was the Wolves’ final game of the season after being knocked out of the playoff hunt on Tuesday night with a loss to Klahowya.

“I am really proud of how our kids came back two days after a big loss,” said Sequim coach Brian Roper. “They did a great job of coming back and staying together.”
