SEQUIM — An experienced Sequim High School boys basketball team is looking toward the playoffs this season.
“We’re exciting,” said fifth-year head coach Brian Roper. “We have a lot of players back from last year and we have high hopes for the season.”
Only three players graduated from last year’s team.
The Class 3A Wolves captured second place in the mostly 2A Nisqually League a year ago with a 14-6 record but didn’t qualify for the postseason.
The rules have changed this year with a top-four finish in league good enough for Sequim to qualify for the playoffs.
“We have good kids,” Roper said. “A lot of the guys will be playing their third year together on varsity.”
