QUILCENE — Erin Burlingame sank 18 points and Blair Bloomfield was right behind with 16 to spark the Quilcene Rangers to an easy 54-31 romp over Puget Sound Adventist in a nonleague girls basketball game Monday night.
The Rangers, who improved to a solid 6-1 on the year, led 17-3 after one quarter and 28-14 at halftime and never looked back.
Quilcene outscored Puget Sound Adventist 26-17 in the second half.
“Their best player was sick,”‘ Quilcene coach Burton Babik said about the relatively easy win. “The coach’s daughter stayed home with the flu.”
