Sports: Port Townsend 5-0 with win

SILVERDALE — Jeremiah Fountain, Nick Gallaway and Sloan Gutierrez each scored two touchdowns Friday night and the Port Townsend High School football team improved to 5-0.

The Redskins, 2-7 last season, blanked Klahowya 46-0 in a Nisqually League game at Silverdale Stadium.

“The best thing I can say is the defense was outstanding,”‘ Port Townsend head coach James Fleisher said Saturday.

CHIMACUM — The Cowboys were shut out in Nisqually League play Friday, falling to 0-4 in league, 0-5 overall.

“They’re still coming out to play,” Chimacum coach Brian Anderson said of his young team.

Forks 12, Tenino 10

FORKS — The Spartans won their Southwest Washington League opener despite failing to score in the second half Friday.

Forks led 12-3 at the break.
