Sports: Port Angeles romps over Tahoma

TACOMA — Adam Macomber rushed for five touchdowns and 303 yards Friday night as Port Angeles High School beat Mount Tahoma in a nonleague football game at the Lincoln Bowl.

“He had an outstanding game,”‘ Roughrider coach Dan Novick said Saturday. “Last night was a breakthrough night for him.”

Macomber, a junior, severely pulled a groin muscle early on last season, inhibiting his ability to reach his full potential, Novick said.

Only now are the Roughriders (1-1) seeing Macomber, who also received limited varsity playing time as a freshman, run like they’ve always known he could.
