PORT ANGELES — Head football coach Dan Novick will leave Port Angeles High School at the end of the school year.
He’s accepted the same job at Heritage High School in Vancouver, Wash.
“I think it’s just a tremendous opportunity for him and I certainly support him while I hate to lose him,” Port Angeles School District Director of Athletics and Facilities Scott Brodhun said Saturday.
Novick led Port Angeles to a 12-16 record in three seasons and never reached the playoffs. His first season (2001) was his best as the Roughriders fell a game shy of the postseason with a 6-3 record.
The Riders went 3-7 last year and 3-6 the season before.
