PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula College women’s basketball team continues to play hard, but once again were unable to gain any head way, losing at home to Olympic 73-66 in a Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges, North Division tilt.
The Pirates trailed 39-31 at the half, but came out swinging in the second half.
Leah Bradley — who led all scorers with 30 points — fueled an 8-0 run, scoring seven points in a three-minute stretch.
Peninsula tied the game at 39-39, and then moments later took a 43-41 lead on a Bradley bucket.
Olympic stole the momentum, however, going on a 5-0 run with all five points coming from former Port Townsend High School standout Stephanie Kirkendoll.
