KENNEWICK — The Clallam Bay High School football team’s B-8 state title run ended Saturday with a 30-6 loss to Jubilee Academy in the semifinals.
“We played a really good football team and they ended up scoring more than us,” Clallam Bay coach Andy Ritter said by phone after the loss.
The Bruins were undefeated until Saturday and finished the season 10-1. Despite being the top-ranked eight-man team in the state, Clallam Bay still had to travel to Eastern Washington for the semifinal game.
It took 10 hours Friday to drive from Clallam Bay to the artificial turf at Lampson Field.
“They are pretty down,” Ritter said of his team.
