The Port Angeles 10U baseball team captured first place in its age division at the Dick Brown Memorial Tournament this weekend, beating Radiator Whiskey 6-0 in the title game. The tournament had 19 teams in 10-, 11- and 12-year-old Cal Ripken divisions playing at the Lincoln Park fields. Other teams came from Bellingham, Redmond, Puyallup, Hoquiam, Lacey and West Seattle. In the 10U championship game, Port Angeles starting and winning pitcher Alex Angevine throws to a Radiator Whiskey player at the plate.

SPORTS BRIEF: PA 10U team wins Dick Brown Memorial Tournament

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles 10U team won its division in the 20th annual Dick Brown Memorial Baseball Tournament on Sunday.

Winners of the other two divisions were the Edmonds Baseball Club in the 11-year-old division and the Auburn Bulldogs in the 12-year-old division.

The Port Angeles 10U team won its division with a shutout, beating Radiator Whiskey of Seattle 6-0 in the championship game.

The final standings were:

10-Year-Old Division — Port Angeles 10U, first; Radiator Whiskey (Seattle), second; Puyallup All-Stars, third; Port Angeles 9U, fourth; Edmonds Baseball Associated, fifth; West Seattle Steelheads, sixth; Federal WAy Outlaws, seventh; Hoquaim Grizzly Baseball, eighth.

Championship Game: Port Angeles 10U 6, Radiator Whiskey 0.

11-Year-Old Division — Edmonds Baseball Club, first; Pacific Baseball Club (Edmonds), second; Port Angeles, third; Stilly Venom Baseball (Marysville)

Championship Game: Edmonds Baseball Club 11, Pacific Baseball Club 0.

12-Year-Old Division — Auburn Bulldogs, first; South Kitsap, second; Redmond Rebels, third; Lacey Lefties, fourth; Port Angeles fifth; Buzz Baseball (Federal Way), sixth; Bellingham Bees, seventh.

Championship Game: Bulldogs 12, South Kitsap 4.
